1 Petro 5
1 Ne jodongo man e dieru akwayou kaka jaduongʼ wadu mane janeno kaka Kristo sandore, kendo kaka achiel kuom joma biro yudo duongʼ mabiro fwenyore achien:
Therefore I, being a fellow-elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, also a communicant of the glory which is about to be revealed, exhort the elders who are among you:
2 Beduru jokwath mag kweth Nyasaye moseketo e lwetu mondo uriti. Ritgiuru kaka jorit, ok nikech ngʼato ochunou, to nikech chunyu ohero, kaka Nyasaye dwaro ni utim. Kik ubed jokwath mondo uyudie ohala, to timuru kamano nikech uhero.
shepherdize the flock of God which is among you, not coercively, but willingly, for the sake of God; not for filthy lucre, but cheerfully.
3 Kik utimru ruodhi ewi joma oketi e lwetu mondo uriti, to bedne giuru ranyisi maber.
Not as domineering over the heritages, but having become examples of the flock:
4 To ka Jakwath Maduongʼ obiro to unuyud osimbo mar duongʼ ma ok kethre ma nosik karieny nyaka chiengʼ.
and chief Shepherd having appeared, you shall receive a crown of glory which will never fade away.
5 Un jomatindo bende chiwuru luor ni jomadongo. Rwakreuru gi muolo e kindu ngʼato gi ngʼato, nikech Muma wacho niya, “Nyasaye osin gi josunga to ochiwo ngʼwono ne joma muol.”
Likewise, you younger men, submit to the elders: and all put on humility toward one another; because God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
6 Emomiyo beduru joma obolore e bwo bad Nyasaye man-gi teko eka enotingʼu malo e kinde mowinjore.
Therefore humble yourselves beneath the mighty hand of God, that he may lift you up in due time:
7 Keturu parruok duto ma un-go kuome nikech oparou.
having cast all your care upon him; because there is a care to him concerning you.
8 Beduru motangʼ ka ungʼeyo ni jasiku, ma en Satan, bayo kuonde duto mana ka sibuor maruto, komanyo ngʼama dongam.
Be sober, watch. The devil is walking round like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour:
9 Chungʼuru motegno kuom yie ma un-go kendo tameuru, nikech ungʼeyo ni joweteu moyie e piny ngima bende neno chandruok machal gi ma uneno.
whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that it is for you to complete the same sufferings in this world along with your brotherhood.
10 Ka useneno chandruok kuom kinde moromo, Nyasach ngʼwono duto, mane oluongou e duongʼne mochwere kuom Kristo Yesu, nomi ubed maler chuth, kogurou udoko motegno e mise ma ok yiengni. (aiōnios g166)
But the God of all grace, the one having called you into his own eternal glory in Christ, will himself make you perfect, having suffered a little while, will establish you, will strengthen you, will settle you. (aiōnios g166)
To him is the power unto the age of the ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Andikonu baruwa machwokni ka Sila, ma akwano kaka owadwa madier kuom Kristo, konya. Ajiwou kendo atimo neno ni ma e kaka ngʼwono madier mar Nyasaye chalo, omiyo chunguru motegno kuom ngʼwonono.
Through Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I consider, I have written unto you briefly, exhorting, and witnessing that this same grace of God is true in which you may stand.
13 Kanyakla mar jo-Kristo man Babulon, ma Nyasaye oyiero kaachiel kodu, okowonu mos. Wuoda Mariko bende omosou.
The elect sister who is in Babylon, and my son Mark, salute you.
14 Mosreuru ngʼato gi ngʼato gi yogruok mar hera. Kwe mondo obed kodu un duto ma un kuom Kristo.
Salute one another with a holy kiss. Peace be unto you all who are in Christ.
