< 1 Petro 3 >

1 Kamano un bende mon luoruru chwou, mondo ka moko kuomgi pok oyie to gilokre, ok nikech wecheu to nikech timbeu maler,
Ye women likewise, be subject to your own husbands, that if any believe not the word, they may yet without the word be gained over by the deportment of the wives,
2 ka gineno bidhruok gi luor mar ngimau.
beholding your chaste conversation in the fear of God.
3 Ber maru ok onego onenre mana kuom gik mulichogo dendu ma oko: kaka kado wich gi rwako bangli mag dhahabu kod lewni ma nengogi tek.
Whose adorning, let it not be that without, of plaiting the hair, and putting on of gold, or wearing fine clothes;
4 To chutho ber maru onego obed mano maiye, ma en ber madier mar chuny mamuol kendo mokwe ma en gima duongʼ moloyo e wangʼ Nyasaye.
but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
5 Nikech kamano e kaka mon maler machon mane oketo genogi kuom Nyasaye ne loso bergi maiye. Ne giwinjo wach chwogi,
For so also formerly the holy women, who hoped in God, adorned themselves, being submissive to their husbands; as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him her lord:
6 mana kaka Sara, mane winjo Ibrahim kendo luonge ni ruodhe. Un udoko nyige ka utimo gik mabeyo gi chir ma ok uluoro gimoro.
whose daughters ye are, if ye do well, and are not terrified with any sinful fear.
7 Un chwo bende nyaka udag gi mondeu kuweyonegi korgi. Migiuru luor kaka chwech mangʼaw kendo kaka jouteu muchamogo mich mar ngima momiu kuom ngʼwono. Kutimo kamano to onge gima biro mono lemou chopo e nyim Nyasaye.
Ye husbands likewise, dwell with them according to knowledge, yielding due respect to the wife as the weaker vessel, and as joint-heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Mogik, neuru ni un duto un gi chuny achiel kod paro achiel, kuheroru kaka owete, kendo beduru mamuol kendo mangʼwon.
Finally, my beloved, be unanimous, be sympathizing, love as brethren, be compassionate, be courteous:
9 Kik uchul richo kar richo, kata ayany kar ayany kar timo kamano to gwedhuru agwedha, nikech mano omiyo noluongou, mondo uyud gweth.
not returning evil for evil, or reproach for reproach: but on the contrary blessing even those that curse you: knowing ye are called unto this, that ye may obtain a blessing.
10 Mana kaka Muma wacho niya, “Ngʼato angʼata mohero ngima kendo ni gigeno kuom ndalo mabiro mabeyo, nyaka ogengʼ lewe kik wuo marach kendo ogengʼ dhoge kuom wacho miriambo.
"For he that would desire life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile;
11 Nyaka olokre owe timbe maricho mi otim tim maber; nyaka omany kwe kendo oluwe.
let him turn away from evil, and do good:
12 Nikech wangʼ Jehova Nyasaye ni kuom joma kare kendo ite winjo lamogi, to Jehova Nyasaye mon gi joma timo gik maricho.”
let him seek peace, and pursue it: for the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil."
13 Ere ngʼama dihinyu ka uikoru mar timo gima ber?
And who will hurt you, if ye be imitators of Him that is good?
14 To kata ka ochuno ni nyaka une sand kuom gima kare mutimo, to un joma ogwedhi. “Kik uluor gik ma giluoro, kendo kata bwok kik ubwogi.”
But if ye should even suffer for righteousness sake, happy are ye: and therefore be not afraid of their menaces, neither be troubled; but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:
15 To miuru Kristo duongʼ ei chunyu kaka Ruoth Maler. Beduru moikore kinde duto mar dwoko ngʼato mopenjou gimomiyo un gi geno ma un-gono. To timuru kamano gi muolo kod luor.
and be always ready to answer every one that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you, with meekness and reverence:
16 Rituru chunyu maler maonge bura, mondo timbeu mabeyo kuom Kristo okuod wi joma wuoyo kuomu marach.
having a good conscience, that whereas they speak against you as evil-doers, they may be ashamed who calumniate your good conversation in Christ.
17 En gima ber ka en dwaro Nyasaye, mondo osand ngʼato kuom timo maber moloyo ka ngʼato yudo sand kuom timo richo.
For it is better (if it be the will of God) to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
18 Nikech Kristo notho ni richo dichiel kendo mogik, ngʼat makare notho kar joma richo mondo okelu ir Nyasaye. Ne oneg ringre, to kata kamano nomiye bedo mangima kuom Roho.
As Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust (that He might introduce us to God) being indeed put to death in the flesh, but raised to life by the Spirit:
19 Kuom mano, nodhi moyalo ne chunje manie twech,
by which also He went and preached to the spirits now in prison;
20 mane otamore winjo Nyasaye chon gi lala kane Nyasaye orito amingʼa e kinde mane Nowa hondhoe yie. Ji manok kende maromo ji aboro, ema ne okwo kokalo e pi e yieno.
who of old were disobedient, when the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was preparing; wherein a few, that is eight souls, were saved by water.
21 Pigno en ranyisi mar batiso makoro warou sani, batiso ok en golo chilo kuom ringruok, to en singruok motim ne Nyasaye gi chuny maler. Owarou kuom chier mar Yesu Kristo,
The resemblance of which, even baptism, doth also now save us, (not the outward cleansing of filth from the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
22 moseidho e polo kendo koro obet e bat korachwich mar Nyasaye, ka malaike duto gi loch kod teko duto winjo chikne.
who is gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to Him.
