PETER, a legate of Jesus the Messiah, to the elect and sojourners, who are dispersed in Pontus and in Galatia, and in Cappadocia, and in Asia, and in Bithynia,

to them who have been chosen, by the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto the obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus the Messiah: May grace and peace abound towards you.
3 Duongʼ obed ne Nyasaye ma wuon Ruodhwa Yesu Kristo nikech kuom kechne maduongʼ, osenywolwa manyien mi wayudo geno mangima kuom chier mane Yesu Kristo ochiergo oa kuom joma otho.
Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, who in his great mercy hath begotten us anew, by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, to the hope of life,
4 Mano emomiyo wabedo gi geno mangima mar yudo mwandu mosiko ma okanonu e polo malo kuma ok onyal kethore kata lalie.
and to an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading, which is prepared for you in heaven;
5 Kuom yie Nyasaye oserito jogo gi tekone nyaka chop warruok moseiki mondo ofweny chiengʼ giko.
while ye are kept, by the power of God and by faith, for the life that is prepared and will be revealed in the last times;
6 Beduru mamor kuom wachni, kata obedo ni sani pod uneno sand mopogore opogore kuom kinde matin.
wherein ye will rejoice for ever, notwithstanding ye at the present time are pressed a little, by the various trials that pass over you;
7 Gik makamagi osetimorenu mondo one ane ka un gi yie mar adier. To Kata mana dhahabu manyalo kethore bende ipwodho gi mach. Omiyo yie maru ma nengone tek moloyo dhahabu, nyaka tem mondo ongʼego ka en yie mar adier. Eka unuyud pak kod gi duongʼ kod luor, chiengʼ ma Yesu Kristo ofwenyore.
so that the proof of your faith may appear more precious than refined gold that is tested by fire, unto glory and honor and praise, at the manifestation of Jesus the Messiah:
8 Kata obedo ni pok unene to pod uhere ahera kendo kata obedo ni ok unene kata sani to pod uyie ayiea kuome kendo upongʼ gi mor maduongʼ.
whom having not seen, ye love; and in the faith of whom ye rejoice, with joy that is glorious and ineffable,
9 Nikech koro uyudo thoro mar yie maru, ma en warruok mar chunyu.
that ye may receive the recompense of your faith, the life of your souls;
10 Kuom wach warruokni ema ne jonabi onono matut kendo omanyo matek, kane gikoro wach gweth mane Nyasaye biro miyou.
that life namely, about which the prophets inquired, when they were prophesying of the grace which was to be given to you.
11 Roho mar Kristo mane nikuomgi nonyisogi chon kuom masiche mane Kristo biro yudo kod duongʼ mane biro luwo masichego, omiyo ne gitemo manyo kinde mane gigo biro timoree kendo kaka negibiro timore.
And they searched for the time which the Spirit of the Messiah dwelling in them did show and testify, when the sufferings of the Messiah were to occur, and his subsequent glory.
12 Nofweny nigi ni tich mane gitiyo ne ok giti nigin giwegi, to negitiyo mana ne un kane giwuoyo kuom gik makoro osenyisu gi joma oseyalonu Injili kuom teko mar Roho Maler moa e polo. Kata malaike bende gombo mondo one.
And it was revealed to them, in regard to all they were searching, that, not for themselves were they inquiring, but for us they were prophesying of those things, which are now manifested to you by means of the things we have announced to you, by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven; which things the angels also desire to look into.

Wherefore, gird up the loins of your minds. and be awake perfectly, and wait for the joy, which will come to you at the revelation of our Lord Jesus the Messiah,

as obedient children: and be ye not conversant again with those former lusts, with which ye lusted when without knowledge.
15 To mana kaka Jal moluongou ler, beduru maler e gimoro amora mutimo;
But be ye holy in all your conduct, as he is holy who hath called you.
16 nikech ondiki niya, “Beduru maler nikech aler.”
Because it is written: Be ye holy, even as I am holy.
17 Kaka uluongo nying Wuoro mangʼado bura ne tich ngʼato ka ngʼato machalre ka ok odew wangʼ ngʼato, daguru kaka welo e piny-ka, kod luor mowinjore.
And if so be ye call on the Father, with whom is no respect of persons, and who judgeth every one according to his deeds, pass the time of your sojournment with fear;
18 Nimar ungʼeyo ni kane owaru kuom ngimau manono mane kwereu machon owenu mondo ulu, to ne ok owaru gi gik makethore kaka fedha kata dhahabu,
since ye know, that neither with perishable silver, nor with gold, ye were redeemed from your vain doings, which ye had by tradition from your fathers;
19 makmana nowaru gi remo ma nengone tek mar Kristo, ma en Nyarombo maonge songa moro amora.
but with the precious blood of that Lamb in which is no spot nor blemish, namely, the Messiah:
20 Ne oyiere kapok ochwe piny, to ne ofwenynwago e ndalogi mogik nikech un.
who was predestined to this, before the foundation of the world; and was manifested at the termination of the times, for your sakes;
21 Nikech En, koro uyie kuom Nyasaye, mane ochiere oa kuom joma otho mi omiye duongʼ mondo yie maru kod geno maru obed kuom Nyasaye.
who, by means of him, have believed in God, who raised him from the dead and conferred glory on him; that your faith and hope might be in God,
22 Kaka koro usepwodhuru uwegi kuom luwo adiera, mondo eka uher joweteu, koro herreuru ngʼato gi ngʼato gihera matut, kendo timuru kamano gi chunyu duto.
while your minds became sanctified, by obedience to the truth; and ye be full of love, without respect of persons, so that ye love one another out of a pure and perfect heart;
23 Nikech osenywolu nywol manyien, ok gi kodhi ma towo, to gi kodhi ma ok tow, gi wach Nyasaye mangima kendo mochwere. (aiōn g165)
like persons born again, not of seed that perisheth, but of that which doth not perish, by the living word of God, who abideth for ever. (aiōn g165)
24 Nimar Ndiko wacho niya, “Dhano duto chalo gi lum kendo duongʼ ma gin-go chalo mana gi maua manie pap; lum ner kendo maua two mi lwar piny,
Because all flesh is as grass, and all its beauty like the flower of the field. The grass drieth up, and the flower withereth away;
