Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the families of the people of Israel, before himself in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh from the city of David, that is, Zion.
2 Jo-Israel duto nochokore kanyakla ir Ruoth Solomon e kinde mag nyasi e dwe mar Ethanim, ma en dwe mar abiriyo.
All the men of Israel assembled before King Solomon at the feast, in the month of Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
3 Kane jodong Israel duto osechopo, jodolo nokawo Sandug Muma,
All the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
4 kendo negikelo Sandug Muma mar Jehova Nyasaye gi Hemb Romo kod gik moko duto maler mane ni e iye. Jodolo kod jo-Lawi notingʼogi,
They brought up the ark of Yahweh, the tent of meeting, and all the holy furnishings that were in the tent. The priests and the Levites brought these things up.

King Solomon and all the assembly of Israel came together before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted.
6 Eka jodolo nokelo Sandug Muma mar singruok mar Jehova Nyasaye kama ne olosne ei kama ler mar lemo mar hekalu ma en Kama Ler Moloyo mi gikete e bwomb kerubi.
The priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to its place, into the inner room of the house, to the most holy place, under the wings of the cherubim.
7 Kerubigo noyaro bwombegi ewi kama noketie Sandug Muma kendo ne giumo Sandug Muma gi ludhe mitingʼego.
For the cherubim spread out their wings to the place of the ark, and they covered the ark and the poles by which it was carried.
8 Ludhegi ne boyo ahinya ma gikogi ne inyalo ne koa e nyim Kama Ler e nyim kama ler mar lemo, to ne ok ginen gi oko mar Kama Ler kendo pod gin kanyo nyaka chil kawuono.
The poles were so long that their ends were seen from the holy place in front of the inner room, but they could not be seen from outside. They are there to this day.
9 Ne onge gimoro ei Sandug Muma makmana kite ariyo mopa mane Musa oketo e iye kane en Horeb kama Jehova Nyasaye ne otimoe singruok kod jo-Israel kane gisewuok Misri.
There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone that Moses had put there at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the people of Israel when they came out of the land of Egypt.
10 Kane jodolo osewuok ei Kama Ler, bor polo noimo hekalu mar Jehova Nyasaye,
It came about that when the priests came out of the holy place, the cloud filled the temple of Yahweh.
11 kendo jodolo ne ok nyal tiyo tijegi nikech bor polo nimar duongʼ mar Jehova Nyasaye nopongʼo hekalu.
The priests could not stand to serve because of the cloud, for the glory of Yahweh filled his house.
12 Eka Solomon nowacho niya, “Jehova Nyasaye osewacho ni enodag ei bor polo motimo mudho;
Then Solomon said, “Yahweh has said that he would live in thick darkness,
13 adier asegeroni hekalu marahuma kama inidagie nyaka chiengʼ.”
But I have built you a lofty residence, a place for you to live in forever.”
14 Kane oganda jo-Israel duto ochungʼ kanyo, ruoth nolokore mogwedhogi.
Then the king turned around and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing.
15 Eka nowacho niya, “Pak obed ne Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel, mosetimo gi lwete gima ne osingo gi dhoge owuon ni Daudi wuonwa.
He said, “May Yahweh, the God of Israel, be praised, who spoke to David my father, and has fulfilled it with his own hands, saying,
16 Nimar nowacho ni, ‘Chakre ndalo mane agolo joga koa Misri, pok ayiero dala maduongʼ e dhoot moro amora mar Israel mondo oger hekalu kanyo ni Nyinga, to aseyiero Daudi mondo otel ni joga Israel.’
'Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, in order for my name to be there. However, I chose David to rule over my people Israel.'
17 “Daudi wuora noketo e chunye mondo oger hekalu moluongo nying Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel.
Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
18 To Jehova Nyasaye nowacho ni Daudi wuora ni, ‘Nitimo maber mondo ibed gi wach gero hekalu ni nyinga e chunyi.
But Yahweh said to David my father, 'In that it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well for it to be in your heart.
19 Kata kamano, in ok niger hekalu, to wuodi, ma en ringri gi rembi iwuon, en ema noger hekalu ni Nyinga.’
Nevertheless you will not build the house; instead, your son, one who will be born from your loins, will build the house for my name.'
20 “Jehova Nyasaye oserito singruok mane otimo: Asekawo loch wuora Daudi kendo asebet e kom loch mar Israel, mana kaka Jehova Nyasaye nosingo, kendo asegero hekalu ni Nying Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel.
Yahweh has carried out the word that he had said, for I have arisen in the place of David my father, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as Yahweh promised. I have built the house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
21 Aseloso kar Sandug Muma, moketie singruok mane Jehova Nyasaye otimo kod kwerewa kane ogologi Misri.”
I have made a place for the ark there, in which is Yahweh's covenant, which he made with our fathers when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.”
22 Eka Solomon nochungʼ e nyim kendo mar misango mar Jehova Nyasaye e nyim oganda duto mar jo-Israel, kendo norieyo bedene kochomo polo
Solomon stood before the altar of Yahweh, before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward the heavens.
23 kowacho kama: “Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel, onge Nyasaye moro amora machal kodi e polo malo kata e piny mwalo, in e Nyasaye marito singruok mar herane ni jotichne maluwo yoreni gi chunygi duto.
He said, “Yahweh, God of Israel, there is no God like you in the heavens above or on the earth below, who keeps his covenant faithfulness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;
24 Iserito singruokni mane itimo gi jatichni Daudi wuora ne isingori gi dhogi kendo isechopo singruokno gi lweti mana kaka en kawuononi.
you who have kept with your servant David my father, what you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.
25 “Koro Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel rit singruok mane itimo gi jatichni Daudi wuora kiwachone niya, ‘Ok inibed maonge gi ngʼato mobedo e kom loch e nyima e piny Israel, to mana ka yawuoti otimo tim makare e nyima mana kaka isetimo.’
Now then, Yahweh, God of Israel, carry out what you have promised to your servant David my father, when you said, 'You will not fail to have a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful to walk before me, as you have walked before me.'
26 To koro, yaye Nyasach Israel, yie wach mane isingo ni jatichni Daudi wuora otimre mana kaka ne isingo.
Now then, God of Israel, let your word be confirmed, which you have spoken to your servant David my father.
27 “To bende Nyasaye nyalo dak e piny? Kata polo malo kata polo mabor moloyo ok nyal romi. To koro hekalu mageroni, to diromi nade!
But will God actually live on the earth? Look, the entire universe and heaven itself cannot contain you—how much less can this temple that I have built!
28 Kata kamano chik iti ni lamo jatichni gi kwayone mar ngʼwono, yaye Jehova Nyasaye Nyasacha. Winji ywak gi lemo ma jatichni lamo e nyimi kawuono.
Yet please respect this prayer of your servant and his request, Yahweh my God; listen to the cry and prayer that your servant prays before you today.
29 Mad wangʼi rang hekaluni otieno kod odiechiengʼ, kama niwacho niya, ‘Nyinga nobed kanyo,’ mondo iwinji lemo ma jatichni lamo kochomo odni.
May your eyes be open toward this temple night and day, to the place about which you have said, 'My name and my presence will be there'—in order to listen to the prayers that your servant will pray toward this place.
30 Winji lamo mar jatichni kaachiel gi jogi Israel ka gilamo ka gichomo odni. Winji gi e polo kar dakni, kendo kiwinjo, to iwenwa richowa.
So listen to the request of your servant and of your people Israel when we pray toward this place. Yes, listen from the place where you live, from the heavens; and when you listen, forgive.
31 “Ka ngʼato oketho ni wadgi kendo dwarore ni mondo okwongʼre kendo obiro mokwongʼore e nyim kendo mar misango manie hekaluni,
If a man sins against his neighbor and is required to swear an oath, and if he comes and swears an oath before your altar in this house,
32 to iwinji gi e polo kendo itim kaka owinjore. Ngʼad bura e kind jotichni, kikumo joketho kendo iket richogi e wigi bende joma onge ketho iket kare kaluwore gi timgi makare.
listen from the heavens and act. Judge your servants, condemning the guilty and bringing what he has done upon his own head. Declare the innocent not guilty and give to him according to his righteousness.
33 “Ka jogi Israel olo e lweny gi jowasikgi nikech gisekethoni, to bangʼe gilokore mi gipako nyingi, ka gilamo kendo gikwayo e hekaluni,
When your people Israel are defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you, if they turn back to you, confess your name, pray, and request forgiveness from you in this temple—
34 to iwinjgi gi e polo kendo iwe richo jogi Israel kendo iduog-gi e piny mane imiyo kweregi.
then please listen in the heavens and forgive the sin of your people Israel; bring them back to the land that you gave to their ancestors.
35 “Ka polo olor kendo koth onge nikech jogi osekethoni to ka gilemo kaeni ka gipako nyingi kendo ka gilokore giweyo richogi nikech isekelonegi chandruok,
When the skies are shut up and there is no rain because the people have sinned against you—if they pray toward this place, confess your name, and turn from their sin when you have afflicted them—
36 to yie mondo iwinjgi gie polo kendo iwene jotichni ma jo-Israel richogi. Puonjgi yo makare mar dak kendo iornegi koth e piny mane imiyo jogi kaka girkeni margi.
then listen in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants and of your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk. Send rain on your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.
37 “Ka kech kata dera omako piny, kata ka abach omako cham ewi dongo kata ka bonyo kata kungu kata ka jowasigu olworo miechgi madongo kata ka midekre kata tuo omakogi,
Suppose there is famine in the land, or suppose that there is disease, blight or mildew, locusts or caterpillars; or suppose that an enemy attacks the city gates in their land, or that there is any plague or sickness—
38 to ka ngʼato kuom jogi ma jo-Israel olemo kata okwayi, ka gingʼeyo gima chando chunygi kendo ka girieyo bedegi kochomo hekaluni,
and suppose then that prayers and requests are made by a person or by all your people Israel—each knowing the plague in his own heart as he spreads out his hands toward this temple.
39 to yie iwinji gie polo, kama idakie. Wenegi richogi kendo tim ne ngʼato ka ngʼato gima owinjore gi gik motimo nikech ingʼeyo chunygi (nikech in kendi ema ingʼeyo chuny dhano),
Then listen from heaven, the place where you live, forgive and act, and reward every person for all he does; you know his heart, because you and you only know the hearts of all human beings.
40 mondo omi gilwori ndalogi duto ma gin-go e piny mane imiyo kwerewa.
Do this so that they may fear you all the days that they live on the land that you gave to our ancestors.
41 “To kuom jadak ma ok achiel kuom jogi Israel moa e piny mabor nikech nyingi,
In addition, concerning the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel: When he comes from a distant country because of your name—
42 nimar ji biro winjo humb nyingi maduongʼ gi mar lweti maratego kod badi marabora moriere, ka gibiro ma gilemo ka gichomo hekaluni
for they will hear of your great name, your mighty hand, and your raised arm—when he comes and prays toward this temple,
43 to yie mondo iwinji gie polo kama idakie kendo tim gimoro amora ma jadakno okwayi, mondo ogendini duto mag piny ongʼe nyingi kendo oluori mana kaka jogi Israel, kendo mondo gingʼe ni ot ma asegeroni luongo nyingi.
then please listen from heaven, the place where you live, and do whatever the foreigner asks of you. Do this so that all the peoples on earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel. Do this so they might know that this house I have built is called by your name.
44 “Ka jogi odhi kedo gi jowasikgi, kamoro amora ma ibiro orogie, ka gilamo Jehova Nyasaye ka gichomo dalani miseyiero kendo hekalu masegero maluongo nyingi;
Suppose that your people go out to battle against an enemy, by whatever way you may send them, and suppose that they pray to you, Yahweh, toward the city that you have chosen, and toward the house that I have built for your name.
45 to yie iwinji gie polo lamogi kod kwayogi kendo konygi.
Then listen in the heavens to their prayer and their request, and help their cause.
46 “To ka giketho e nyimi, nimar onge ngʼato kata achiel ma ok jaketho mi ikecho kodgi, kendo ichiwogi e lwet wasikgi mondo otergi e twech e piny wasikgigo, kuma bor kata machiegni;
Suppose that they sin against you, since there is no one who does not sin, and suppose that you are angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, so that the enemy takes them away captive to their land, whether distant or near.
47 to eka bangʼe giloko pachgi e piny motwegieno mi chunygi olokore giweyo richo, kendo gikwayi ka gin e piny wasikgi niya, ‘Wasetimo richo kendo waseketho bende wasetimo tim mamono.’
Then suppose that they realize they are in the land where they have been exiled, and suppose that they repent and seek favor from you from the land of their captors. Suppose that they say, 'We have acted perversely and sinned. We have behaved wickedly.'
48 Kendo ka gidwogo iri gi chunygi duto kod ngimagi duto, e piny wasikgi mane otweyogieno, kendo gilami ka gichomo pinygi mane imiyo kweregi, kod dala mane iyiero, gi hekalu ma asegero ni nyingi;
Suppose that they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who captured them, and suppose that they pray to you toward their land, which you gave to their ancestors, and toward the city that you chose, and toward the house that I have built for your name.
49 to yie mondo iwinj lemogi gi kwayogi gie polo kama idakie kendo ikonygi.
Then from heaven, the place where you live, listen to their prayer and their request for help, and you will make matters right for them.
50 Yie iwe ni jogi mosetimo richo e nyimi, wenegi kethogi duto magisetimo e nyimi kendo mi joma ne omakogi okechgi.
Forgive your people who have sinned against you, and all their transgressions that they have committed against you, and make them objects of compassion before their conquerors, and cause their conquerors to have compassion on them.
51 Nimar gin jogi kendo mwanduni mane igolo e piny Misri, kigologi kama mae kakni ka kama ithedhe nyinyo.
They are your people whom you have chosen, whom you rescued out of Egypt as if from the middle of a furnace where iron is forged.
52 “Yie wangʼi one kwayo jatichni kod kwayo mag jogi Israel, bende yie iwinjgi kinde moro amora ma giywaknie.
May your eyes be open to the request of your servant and to the requests of your people Israel, to listen to them whenever they cry to you.
53 Nimar niyierogi e kind ogendini duto mag piny mondo gibed girkeni, mana kaka ninyiso jatichni Musa kane igolo kwerewa e piny Misri; yaye Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto.”
For you separated them from among all the peoples of the earth to belong to you and receive your promises, just as you explained by Moses your servant, when you brought our fathers out of Egypt, Lord Yahweh.”
54 Kane Solomon osetieko lamogi duto kod kwayogi ni Jehova Nyasaye, nochungʼ oa e nyim kendo mar misango mar Jehova Nyasaye, kama nogoyoe chonge kotingʼo bade kochomo polo.
So it was that when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and request to Yahweh, he arose from before the altar of Yahweh, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread out toward the heavens.
55 Nochungʼ mogwedho chokruok duto mar Israel gi dwol maduongʼ kowacho niya,
He stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying,
56 “Pak obed ni Jehova Nyasaye mosemiyo joge Israel kwe mana kaka nosingo. Onge kata mana wach achiel ma ok osechopo kuom gik moko duto mabeyo mane ochiwo kuom jatichne Musa.
“May Yahweh be praised, who has given rest to his people Israel, keeping all his promises. Not one word has failed out of all Yahweh's good promises that he made with Moses his servant.
57 Mad Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachwa obed kodwa mana kaka nobedo gi kwerewa, mad kik owewa kata jwangʼowa.
May Yahweh our God be with us, as he was with our ancestors. May he never leave us or forsake us,
58 Mad olok chunywa ire, mondo wawuoth e yorene duto kendo wamak chikene gi puonjne kod buchene mane omiyo kwerewa.
that he may incline our hearts to him, to live in all his ways and keep his commandments and his regulations and his statutes, which he commanded our fathers.
59 Kendo mad wechenagi maselamo e nyim Jehova Nyasaye, obed machiegni gi Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachwa odiechiengʼ gotieno, mondo okony jatichne kendo okony joge Israel kaluwore gi dwaro mar odiechiengʼ kodiechiengʼ;
Let these words I have spoken, by which I have made request before Yahweh, be near Yahweh our God day and night, so that he may help the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as every day will require;
60 mondo ji duto manie piny ongʼe ni Jehova Nyasaye e Nyasaye kendo ni onge moro.
that all the peoples of the earth may know that Yahweh, he is God, and there is no other God!
61 To chunyu nyaka chiwre chuth ni Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachwa kudak moluwore gi yorene kendo kurito chikene kaka e kindeni.”
Therefore let your heart be true to Yahweh our God, to walk in his statutes and keep his commandments, as on this day.”
62 Eka ruoth kod jo-Israel duto mane ni kode nochiwo misengini e nyim Jehova Nyasaye.
So the king and all Israel with him offered sacrifices to Yahweh.
63 Solomon nochiwo misango mag lalruok ni Jehova Nyasaye: kwan-gi ne romo dhok alufu piero ariyo gi ariyo kod rombe gi diek maromo alufu mia achiel gi piero ariyo. Kamano ruoth kod jo-Israel duto nowalo hekalu ni Jehova Nyasaye.
Solomon offered a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to Yahweh: twenty-two thousand oxen and 120,000 sheep. So the king and all the people of Israel dedicated the house of Yahweh.
64 Chiengʼono ruoth nopwodho dier laru mane nitie e nyim hekalu mar Jehova Nyasaye kendo kanyo nochiwoe misengini miwangʼo pep gi cham michiwo kod bor misango mar lalruok, nikech kendo mar misango mar mula mantie e nyim Jehova Nyasaye ne tin ahinya mane ok nyal tingʼo misangogo duto, kaka misango miwangʼo pep gi mag cham kod mag sawo.
The same day the king set apart the middle of the courtyard in front of the temple of Yahweh, for there he offered the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat of the fellowship offerings, because the bronze altar that was before Yahweh was too small to receive the burnt offering, the grain offerings, and the fat of the fellowship offerings.
65 Kamano Solomon notimo sawo e kindeno kaachiel gi jo-Israel duto mane ni kode chokruok maduongʼ miwuoro kotingʼo joma oa Lebo Hamath nyaka Wadi man Misri. Negitimo nyasino e nyim Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachwa kuom ndalo abiriyo kendo gichak gimedo ndalo abiriyo mamoko duto ne gin ndalo apar gangʼwen.
So Solomon held the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from Lebo Hamath to the brook of Egypt, before Yahweh our God for seven days and also for another seven days, a total of fourteen days.
66 Kinyne nomiyo ji thuolo mar ke. Negigwedho ruoth mi gidhi e miechgi, ka gimor kendo giil e chunygi nikech gik moko duto mabeyo mane Jehova Nyasaye osetimo ni jatichne Daudi kod joge Israel.
On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king and went to their homes with joyful and glad hearts for all the goodness that Yahweh had shown to David, his servant, and to Israel, his people.
