The sons of Aaron were placed in divisions as follows. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 To Nadab kod Abihu notho motelone wuon-gi kendo ne gionge gi yawuowi; omiyo Eliazar kod Ithamar ema ne otiyo kaka jodolo.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons. Only Eleazar and Ithamar carried on as priests.
3 Daudi nopogogi e migepe kaluwore kaka nopognigi tich kikonye gi Zadok ma nyakwar Eliazar kod Ahimelek ma nyakwar Ithamar.
With the help of Zadok, a descendant of Eleazar, and Ithamar, a descendant Ahimelech, David placed them in divisions according to their appointed duties.
4 Jotelo mangʼeny nonwangʼ e nyikwa Eliazar moloyo nyikwa Ithamar kendo nopog-gi kaluwore gi tichgi. Jotend anywola apar gauchiel nowuok kuom nyikwa, Eliazar to gi jotend anywola aboro nowuok kuom nyikwa Ithamar.
Because Eleazar's descendants had more leaders than those of Ithamar, they were divided like this: sixteen family leaders from the descendants of Eleazar, and eight from the descendants of Ithamar.
5 Negipogogi maonge dewo wangʼ ka gigoyo ombulu nikech ne nitie jotelo mag kama ler mar lemo, to gi mag Nyasaye e kind nyikwa Eliazar kod Ithamar.
They were divided by casting lots, without preference, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God from both the sons of Eleazar and the sons of Ithamar.
6 Jagoro Shemaya wuod Nethanel ma ja-Lawi nondiko nying-gi e nyim ruoth, to gi jotelo, ne gin Zadok jadolo, Ahimelek wuod Abiathar kod jotend anywola mag jodolo kod mag jo-Lawi ka gikawo ngʼato achiel koa e anywola mar Eliazar, to machielo koa e anywola mar Ithamar.
Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, was the secretary. He wrote down the names and assignments in the presence of the king, the officials, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the family leaders of the priests and Levites. One family from Eleazar and one from Ithamar were chosen in turn.

The first lot fell to Jehoiarib. The second to Jedaiah.
8 mar adek ne Harim, to mar angʼwen ne Seorim,
The third to Harim. The fourth to Seorim.
9 mar abich ne Malkija, to mar auchiel ne Mijamin,
The fifth to Malkijah. The sixth to Mijamin.
10 mar abiriyo ne Hakoz, to mar aboro ne Abija,
The seventh to Hakkoz. The eighth to Abijah.
11 mar ochiko ne Jeshua, to mar apar ne Shekania,
The ninth to Jeshua. The tenth to Shecaniah.
12 mar apar gachiel ne Eliashib, to mar apar gariyo ne Jakim,
The eleventh to Eliashib. The twelfth to Jakim.
13 mar apar gadek ne Hupa, to mar apar gangʼwen ne Jeshebeab,
The thirteenth to Huppah. The fourteenth to Jeshebeab.
14 mar apar gabich ne Bilga, to mar apar gauchiel ne Imer,
The fifteenth to Bilgah. The sixteenth to Immer.
15 mar apar gabiriyo ne Hezir, to mar apar gaboro ne Hapizez,
The seventeenth to Hezir. The eighteenth to Happizzez.
16 mar apar gochiko ne Pethahia, to mar piero ariyo ne Jehezkel,
The nineteenth to Pethahiah. The twentieth to Jehezkel.
17 mar piero ariyo gachiel ne Jakin, to mar piero ariyo gariyo ne Gamul,
The twenty-first to Jakin. The twenty-second to Gamul.
18 mar piero ariyo gadek ne Delaya to mar piero ariyo gangʼwen ne Mazia.
The twenty-third to Delaiah. The twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

This was the order in which each group were to serve when they came into the house of the Lord, following the procedure defined for them by their forefather Aaron, as instructed by the Lord, the God of Israel.

These were the rest of the sons of Levi: from the sons of Amram: Shubael; from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.

For Rehabiah, from his sons: Isshiah (first).
22 Koa kuom Izhar noyier Shelomoth; koa kuom yawuot Shelomoth noyier Jahath.
From the Izharites: Shelomoth; from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.
23 Yawuot Hebron mane oyier ne gin: Jeria mokwongo, mar ariyo Amaria, mar adek Jahaziel kod mar angʼwen Jekameam.
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah (first), Amariah (second), Jahaziel (third), and Jekameam (fourth).
24 Wuod Uziel mane oyier ne en, Mika, to kuom yawuot Mika noyier Shamir.
The son of Uzziel: Micah; from the sons of Micah: Shamir.
25 Owadgi Mika mane oyier ne en Ishia, to kuom yawuot Ishia noyier Zekaria.
The brother of Micah: Isshiah; from the sons of Isshiah: Zechariah.
26 Yawuot Merari mane oyier ne gin: Mali kod Mushi. To kuom yawuot Jazia noyier Beno.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
27 Kuom yawuot Merari: noyier Jazia: to kuom yawuot Jazia noyier Beno, Shoham, Zakur kod Ibri.
The sons of Merari: from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur and Ibri.
28 Koa kuom Mali noyier Eliazar mane ok onywolo yawuowi.
From Mahli: Eleazar, who did not have any sons.
29 Koa kuom Kish, noyier wuod Kish miluongo ni Jeramel.
From Kish: the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.
30 Koa kuom yawuot Mushi noyier Mali, Eder kod Jerimoth. Magi e jo-Lawi mane oyier kaluwore gi anywolagi.
The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites, according to their families.
31 Gin bende negigoyo ombulu mana kaka jowetegi ma nyikwa Harun notimo e nyim Ruoth Daudi kod Zadok, Ahimelek kaachiel gi jotelo mag anywola mag jodolo kod jo-Lawi. Jomadongo notimnegi mana machalre gi jomatindo.
They also cast lots in the same way their relatives the descendants of Aaron did. They did this in the presence of King David, and of Zadok, Ahimelech, and the family leaders of the priests and of the Levites, the family leaders and their youngest brothers alike.
