1 Daudi noporo wach kod jotende, jotend lweny alufe kod jotend lweny miche.
And David consulted with the rulers of thousands and hundreds, even with every chief ruler.
2 Bangʼe nowachone riwruok duto mar jo-Israel niya, “Ka wachni bernu kendo ka en dwaro mar Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachwa, to waor wach ne jowetewa mamoko kamoro amora ma gintiere e kuonde mag Israel kaachiel gi jodolo gi jo-Lawi man kodgi e miechgi to gi lege mag kwath mondo gibi irwa.
And David said to all the convocation of Israel, If, unto you, it seemeth to be good, and from Yahweh our God, we will urgently send unto our brethren who remain in all the lands of Israel, and, with them, the priests and the Levites in their pasture-land cities, —that they may gather together unto us;
3 Eka mondo waom Sandug Muma mar Nyasachwa ma wakel ka nikech ne ok wamanye e kinde loch Saulo.”
and let us bring round the ark of our God, unto us, —For they sought it not, in the days of Saul.
4 Chokruokni duto noyie mondo otim mano nikech mano nonenore makare ni ji duto.
Than said all the convocation, that it should be done thus, —for right was the thing, in the eyes of all the people.
5 Daudi nochoko jo-Israel duto chakre Aora Shihor man Misri nyaka Lebo Hamath mondo giom Sandug Muma mar Nyasaye Kiriath Jearim.
So David convoked all Israel, from Shihor of Egypt, even unto the entering in of Hamath, —to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
6 Daudi kod jo-Israel duto mane ni kode nodhi Baala e piny Juda, ma bende iluongo ni Kiriath Jearim mondo giom Sandug Muma mar Jehova Nyasaye, mobet e kind kerubi, en sanduku mar muma miluongo gi nyinge.
And David went up and all Israel to Baalah, unto Kiriath-jearim, which pertaineth to Judah, —to bring up from thence, the ark of God—Yahweh who inhabiteth the cherubim, on which is called the Name.
7 Negigolo Sandug Muma mar Nyasaye e od Abinadab ka otingʼe e gari manyien, to Uza gi Ahio ema ne chiko garino.
And they carried the ark of God, upon a new waggon, out of the house of Aminadab, —and, Uzza and Ahio, were driving the waggon.
8 Daudi kod jo-Israel duto ne miel gi tekregi duto e nyim Nyasaye ka gimor gi-ilo ka giwer gi thumbe gi nyatiti gi orutu gi oyieke gi kayamba kod turumbete.
And, David and all Israel, were dancing for joy before God, with all boldness, and with songs and with lyres, and with harps and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
9 To kane gichopo ei kar dino mar Kidon, Uza norieyo bade mondo osir Sandug Muma mane dhi podho nikech rwedhi mane ywayo gari notangni.
And, when they came as far as the threshing-floor of Chidon, Uzza thrust forth his hand, to seize the ark, for the oxen were restive.
10 To Jehova Nyasaye nokecho gi Uza kendo ne ochwade nikech nomako Sandug Muma omiyo notho e nyim Nyasaye.
Then was kindled the anger of Yahweh against Uzza, and he smote him, because he thrust forth his hand unto the ark, —and he died there, before God.
11 Daudi nokecho nikech mirima mager mar Jehova Nyasaye nomwomore kuom Uza, omiyo nochak kanyo ni Perez Uza, nying ma pod iluongogo kanyo nyaka chil kawuono.
And it was a sadness unto David, that Yahweh had broken in with a breach against Uzza, —and he called that place Perez-uzza, [as it is called] unto this day.
12 Luoro nomako Daudi chiengʼno nikech Jehova Nyasaye mopenjo niya, “Ere kaka dakel Sandug Muma mar Jehova Nyasaye ka?”
And David was afraid of God, on that day, saying, —How can I bring unto me, the ark of God?
13 Omiyo ne ok okawo Sandug Muma mar Nyasaye mondo odhigo e Dala Maduongʼ mar Daudi, to nobaro otere e od Obed-Edom ja-Giti.
So David removed not the ark unto him, into the city of David, —but took it aside into the house of Obed-edom, the Gittite.
14 Sandug Muma mar Nyasaye nosiko kuno gi jood Obed-Edom e ode kuom dweche adek kendo Jehova Nyasaye nogwedho gimoro amora e ode mane en-go.
And the ark of God remained with the household of Obed-edom, in his house, three months, —and Yahweh blessed the household of Obed-edom, and all that he had.
