ଜାକୁବ 5
1 ୧ ଏ ସାଉକାର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍, ମର୍କାତା ସୁନା । ତମ୍କେ ଜନ୍ ଦୁକ୍କସ୍ଟ ଆଇଲାନି, ସେଟାର୍ ପାଇ ମାରିଚପିଅଇ କାନ୍ଦା ।
Listen to me, you rich people, weep and wail for the miseries that are coming upon you!
Your riches have wasted away, and your clothes have become moth-eaten.
3 ୩ ତମର୍ ସୁନାରୁପା ଚିଲମ୍ ଦାର୍ଲାନି ଆରି ଏ ଚିଲମ୍ ଦାର୍ଲାଟାକେ ନେଇକରି ପର୍ମେସର୍ ତମ୍କେ ଦସି କର୍ସି । ଆରି ଜଇଟାନେ ପଡ୍ଲେ ଜେନ୍ତି ଗାଗଡ୍ ନସ୍ସି, ସେନ୍ତି ତମର୍ ଗାଗଡ୍ ସେ କୁରୁପ୍ନାସ୍ କର୍ସି । ଏ ଜୁଗ୍ ସାର୍ବାକେ ଜାଇତେରଇଲେ ମିସା ତମେ ସବୁଲକ୍ ଦନ୍ସଁପତି ଟୁଲିଆଇଲାସ୍ନି ।
Your gold and silver are rusted; and the rust on them will be evidence against you, and will eat into your flesh. It was fire, so to speak, that you stored up for yourselves in these last days.
4 ୪ ତମର୍ ଜମିବାଡିଲଗେ କାମ୍କର୍ବା ବୁତିଆର୍ମନ୍କେ ବୁତି ଦିଆସ୍ ନାଇ । ତାର୍ ବାଦୁଲେ ସେମନ୍କେ ନାଡାଇ ଆଚାସ୍ । ସୁନା, ସେମନର୍ ବୁତି ତମର୍ ବିରୁଦେ କାନ୍ଦ୍ଲାପାରା ସୁନିଅଇଲାନି । ସେମନର୍ କାନ୍ଦ୍ବାଟା ସବୁର୍ଟାନେଅନି ବପୁ ରଇବା ମାପ୍ରୁ, ସୁନ୍ଲା ଆଚେ ।
Listen! The wages you have held back from the laborers who mowed your fields are crying out against you, and the outcries of your harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts!
5 ୫ ଏ ଜଗତେ ତମେ ସାଇସାର୍ଦା ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଜିଇଲାସ୍ନି । ଜାଇଟା ମନ୍ କଲେ, ସେଟା କଲାସ୍ନି । ମାତର୍ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଡଣ୍ଡର୍ ଦିନ୍ ଦାପ୍ରେ ଆଇଲାନି ।
You have lived on earth a life of extravagance and luxury; you have indulged your fancies in a time of bloodshed.
You have condemned, you have murdered, the righteous one! Must not God be opposed to you?
7 ୭ ଏ ମର୍ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍, ମାପ୍ରୁ ଆରିତରେକ୍ ଆଇବାଜାକ ମୁର୍ଚିକରି ରୁଆ । ଚାସିମନର୍ ବିସଇ ଚିନ୍ତାକରିଦେକା, ତାକର୍ ଜମିଅନି ନିକ ପସଲ୍ ମିଲ୍ବା ଜାକ ସେମନ୍ ଜାଗିକରି ରଇବାଇ । ଜେନ୍ତିକି ମାଟିବିଜାଇବାକେ ପର୍ତୁମର୍ ବରିସା ଆରି ନିଙ୍ଗ୍ବାପାଚ୍ବା ବେଲର୍ ସାରାସାରି ବର୍ସାକେ ମୁର୍ଚିକରି ଜାଗି ରଇବାଇ ।
Be patient, then, friends, until the coming of the Lord. Even the farmer has to wait for the precious fruit of the earth, watching over it patiently, until it has had the spring and summer rains.
8 ୮ ସେ ରକାମ୍ ତମେମନ୍ ମିସା ମୁର୍ଚି ଜାଗିରୁଆ । ତମର୍ ମନ୍ ଡାଁଟ୍କରି ରୁଆ, କାଇକେବଇଲେ ମାପ୍ରୁ ଆଇବା ଦିନ୍ ଲଗେ କେଟିଆଇଲାନି ।
And you must be patient also, and not be discouraged; for the Lord’s coming is near.
9 ୯ ଏ ମର୍ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍, ନିଜର୍ ନିଜର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଦସ୍ ଦାରାଦାରି ଉଆ ନାଇ । ସେନ୍ତିଆଲେ ମାପ୍ରୁ ତମ୍କେ ବିଚାର୍ ନ କରେ । ଦେକା ବଡ୍ ବିଚାର୍କାରିଆ ଲଗେ ଆଚେ ।
Do not make complaints against one another, friends, or judgment will be passed on you. The judge is already standing at the door!
10 ୧୦ ମର୍ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍, ଜନ୍ ବବିସତ୍ବକ୍ତାମନ୍ ମାପ୍ରୁର୍ ନାଉଁ ଦାରି କାତାଦେଇ ରଇଲାଇ, ସେମନ୍କେ ଏତାଆ । ଦୁକ୍କସ୍ଟ ଆଇଲାବେଲେ । ସେମନ୍ ମୁର୍ଚିକରି ରଇଲାଇ । ତମେମିସା ସେନ୍ତାରି ଅଇକରି ମନେ ଏତାଆ ।
Friends, as an example of the patient endurance of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
11 ୧୧ ସେମନ୍ ମୁର୍ଚିକରି ରଇଲାର୍ପାଇ ବଲି କେଡେକରମର୍ ଲକ୍ ବଲି କଇଲୁନି । ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ଆୟୁବ୍ ବେସି ଦିନ୍ଜାକ ମୁର୍ଚିକରି ରଇଲାଟା ତମେ ସୁନି ଆଚାସ୍ । ସାରାସାରି ପଚେ ମାପ୍ରୁ ଜନ୍ରକାମ୍ ତାକେ ବାଉଡାଇଦେଲାଟା ଜାନିଆଚାସ୍ । କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ଆମର୍ ମାପ୍ରୁ ଦୟାକର୍ସି ଆରି ପୁରାପୁରୁନ୍ କଲିକରମ୍ ଦେକ୍ବା ମାପ୍ରୁ ।
We count those who displayed such endurance blessed! You have heard, too, of Job’s endurance, and have seen what the Lord’s purpose was, for ‘the Lord is full of pity and compassion.’
12 ୧୨ ଏ ମର୍ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍, ତମେ କାତା ଦେଲା ବେଲେ ରାନ୍ ନିୟମ୍ ପାକାଆ ନାଇ । ସରଗର୍ କି ଏ ଜଗତର୍ ନାଉଁ ଦାରିକରି କାଇ ବିସଇ ରାନ୍ ପାକାଆ ନାଇ । ତମର୍ ଅଇବା କାତାଆଲେ “ଉଁ” ଆରି, ନ ଅଇବା କାତା ଆଲେ “ନାଇ” ବଲିକୁଆ । ସେନ୍ତାର୍ ରଇଲେ, ତମେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବିଚାର୍ନାଟାନେ ଡଣ୍ତ୍ ନ ପାଆସ୍ ।
Above all things, my friends, never take an oath, either by heaven, or by earth, or by anything else. Let your ‘Yes’ suffice for yes, and ‘No’ for no, so that you may escape condemnation.
13 ୧୩ ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ କେ ଜଦି ଦୁକ୍ ଜଞ୍ଜାଲେ ରଇଲେ, ସେ ପାର୍ତନା କର । କେ ଜଦି ସାର୍ଦାସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଆଚେ ବଇଲେ, ସେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଡାକ୍ପୁଟାର୍ ଗିତ୍ ଗାଅ ।
If anyone of you is in trouble, they should pray; if anyone is happy, they should sing hymns.
14 ୧୪ କେ ଜଦି ଜର୍ଦୁକା ଅଇ ରଇଲେ ସେ ମଣ୍ଡଲିର୍ ପାର୍ଚିନ୍ମନ୍କେ ଡାକାଆ, ସେମନ୍ ମାପ୍ରୁର୍ ନାଉଁଦାରି ଚିକନ୍ ରକଇ କରି ତାକେ ଲାଗାଇ, ପାର୍ତନା କର୍ବାଇ ।
If anyone of you is ill, they should send for the church elders, and let them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord.
15 ୧୫ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ସରପ୍ଲା ପାର୍ତନା ଜରର୍ ଲକ୍କେ ନିମାନ୍ କରି ଉଟାଇସି । ଜଦିସେ ପାପ୍କରି ରଇସି ବଇଲେ ମାପ୍ରୁ ତାକେ କେମା କର୍ସି । ନିଜର୍ ନିଜର୍ ଲଗେ ପାପ୍ କଲାଟା ଜାନାଆ ଆରି ନିଜର୍ ନିଜର୍ ପାଇ ପାର୍ତନା କରା । ସେନ୍ତାର୍ କଲେ, ତମେ ନିକ ଅଇସା ।
The prayer offered in faith will save the person who is sick, and the Lord will raise them from their bed; and if they have committed sins, they will be forgiven.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be cured. Great is the power of a good person’s fervent prayer.
17 ୧୭ ଏଲିଅର୍ ବିସଇ ବାବିଦେକା, ସେ ମିସା ଆମର୍ ପାରାସେ ରଇଲା । ପୁର୍ବେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ୍ ଦେସେ ପାନି ନ ମାର ବଲି ସେ ମନ୍ଦିଆନ୍ ଦେଇ ପାର୍ତନା କର୍ତେରଇଲା । ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ସେ ଦେସେ ତିନ୍ ବରସ୍ ଚ ମାସ୍ ଜାକ ପାନି ମାରେ ନାଇ ।
Elijah was only human like ourselves, but, when he prayed fervently that it might not rain, no rain fell on the land for three and a half years.
18 ୧୮ ଆରି ତରେକ୍ ପାନି ମାର ବଲି ପାର୍ତନା କଲାକେ ବାଦ୍ଲେଅନି ପାନି ମାର୍ଲା । ତେବର୍ପାଇ ଜମିଟାନେ ତାସ୍ ଅଇଲା ।
And, when he prayed again, the clouds brought rain, and the land bore crops.
19 ୧୯ ଏ ମର୍ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍ ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଜଦି କେ ସତ୍ ବାଟ୍ ଚାଡିକରି ବିନ୍ ବିନ୍ ବାଟେ ଗାଲେ, ତାକେ କେ ଆଲେ ଜାଇ ବାଉଡାଇ ଆନ୍ଲେ,
My friends, should one of you be led astray from the truth, and someone bring them back again,
20 ୨୦ ଏତାଇରୁଆଜେ, କେ ଜଦି, ଗଟେକ୍ ପାପିକେ ବୁଲ୍ବାଟେଅନି ବାଉଡାଇ ଆନ୍ସି, ସେ ତାକେ ମରନେଅନି ରକିଆ କର୍ସି । ଆରି ସେ ଲକର୍ ଜବର୍ ପାପ୍ ରଇଲେ ମିସା ତାକେ କେମା ଅଇସି ।
be sure that the person who brings a sinner back from their mistaken ways will save that person’s soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins.
