ଜାକୁବ 4
1 ୧ ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ମାରାମାରି ଆରି ଲାଗାଜଡା କାଇକେ ଆଇଲାନି? ତମର୍ ମନ୍ବିତ୍ରେ ଡସିରଇବା କାରାପ୍ ମନ୍କଲାଟା ଉଟିକରି ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଜୁଜ୍ଲାନି, ଏଟାର୍ ଲାଗି ଏନ୍ତାରି ଅଇଲାନି । ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ ଆରିଗଟେକ୍ ଲକର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଲାଗ୍ଲାସ୍ନି ।
Where do the wars and disputes among you come from? Is it not precisely from your pleasures, the ones at war in your members?
2 ୨ କାଇକେବଇଲେ ତମେ ଜନ୍ଟା ମିଲାଇବାକେ ମନ୍ କଲାସ୍ନି, ସେଟା ମିଲାଇ ନାପାର୍ଲେ, ମରାଇବାକେ ମନ୍କଲାସ୍ନି । ଜନ୍ଟା ମିଲାଇବାକେ ବେସି ମନ୍ ଅଇଲାନି, ସେଟା ମିଲାଇବାକେ ତମ୍କେ ବପୁନାଇ । ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ତମର୍ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଲାଗାଜଡା ଅଇ ମାରାମାରି ଅଇଲାସ୍ନି । ତମେ ପର୍ମେସର୍କେ ମାଙ୍ଗାସ୍ ନାଇଜେ ମନ୍କଲାଟା ମିଲାଇ ନା ପାର୍ଲାସ୍ନି ।
You crave and do not have; you murder and covet and are not able to obtain; you fight and war. You do not have because you do not ask.
3 ୩ ତମେ ମାଙ୍ଗ୍ତେରଇସା, ମାତର୍ ସେ ତମ୍କେ ଦେଏ ନାଇ । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ସେଟା କାରାପ୍ କର୍ବାକେ ମାଙ୍ଗ୍ଲାସ୍ନି । ସୁକେ ରଇକରି ସାଇସାର୍ଦା ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ରଇବୁ ବଲି ମାଙ୍ଗ୍ଲାସ୍ନି ।
You ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so that you may lavish it on your pleasures.
4 ୪ ଏ ବିସ୍ବାସେ ବିସ୍ଦେବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍, ତମେ କାଇ ନାଜାନାସ୍ କି ଜଗତ୍କେ ଆଲାଦ୍ କରୁମନ୍ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ସତ୍ରୁ ବଲିକରି? ଜନ୍ଲକ୍ ଏ ଜଗତର୍ ଚଲାଚଲ୍ତି ଆଲାଦ୍ କର୍ବାଇ ସେମନ୍ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବିରଦି ।
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? So whoever may want to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
5 ୫ ତମେ ଦରମ୍ ସାସ୍ତରେ ଲେକାଅଇରଇବା ଏ ବାକିଅ ଚୁଚାଇ ବଲିକରି ବାବ୍ଲାସ୍ନି କି? ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଜନ୍ ଆତ୍ମାକେ ଆମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ବାସାଅଇରଇବାକେ ଦେଲାଆଚେ, ସେ ଆମ୍କେ ପୁରାପୁରୁନ୍ ଅଦିକାର୍ କର୍ବାକେ ମନ୍ କଲାନି ।
Or do you suppose that the Scripture says in vain that the Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously?
6 ୬ ମାତର୍ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଜିବନ୍ ଦୁକାଇଲାଟା, ତାର୍ତେଇଅନି ଅଦିକ୍ ବପୁଆଚେ । ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ସାସ୍ତର୍ କଇଲାନି, ଆଁକ୍ରିଆମନ୍କେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ବିରଦ୍ କର୍ସି, ମାତର୍ ସୁଆଲେ ରଇବା ଲକ୍କେ ତାର୍ ଜିବନ୍ ଦୁକାଇ, ଦୟା କର୍ସି ।
But He gives greater grace; therefore He says: “God resists proud ones, but gives grace to humble ones.”
7 ୭ ତେବର୍ ପାଇ, ତମେ ପର୍ମେସର୍କେ ସର୍ପାଇଉଆ । ସଇତାନ୍କେ ଜାକି ଦିଆସ୍ । ସେନ୍ତାରି କଲେ ସଇତାନ୍ ତମର୍ଲଗେ ଅନି ପାଲାଇସି ।
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
8 ୮ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଲଗେ ଆସା, ତେବେ ସେ ମିସା ତମର୍ ଲଗେ ଲଗେ ରଇସି । ଏ ପାପିମନ୍, କାରାପ୍ କାମ୍କର୍ବାଟା ଚାଡିଦିଆସ୍ । ଆରି ଏ ଦୁଇବାଟେ ମନ୍କରୁମନ୍ ତମର୍ ମନ୍ ନିର୍ମଲ୍ କରା ।
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Sinners, cleanse your hands! Double-minded, purify your hearts!
9 ୯ ତମର୍ ପାପର୍ଲାଗି ମାରିଚପି ଅଇକରି କାନ୍ଦ୍ତେରୁଆ । ନ ଆଁସିକରି କାନ୍ଦ୍ତେରୁଆ, ସାର୍ଦା ନ ଅଇକରି ଦୁକେ ରୁଆ ।
Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into dejection.
Humble yourself before the Lord and He will exalt you.
11 ୧୧ ଏ ମର୍ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍, ନିଜର୍ ନିଜର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ କୁଟ୍ କାତା କୁଆ ନାଇ । ଜଦି ବିସ୍ବାସି ବାଇମନର୍ ବିରୁଦେ କୁଟ୍ କାତା କଇ ତାକେ ଦସ୍ ଦେଇସା, ତମେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ନିୟମ୍ ବିରୁଦେ କାତା ଅଇଲାସ୍ନି । ଆରି ତାର୍ ନିୟମ୍କେ ବିଚାର୍ କଲାସ୍ନି । ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ନିୟମ୍ ବିଚାର୍ କଲେ, ତମେ ତାର୍ ଆଦେସ୍ ମାନାସ୍ ନାଇ । ମାତର୍ ବିଚାର୍କାରିଆ ଇସାବେ ରଇଲାସ୍ନି ।
Brothers, do not speak evil of one another. Because the one speaking against a brother and judging his brother speaks against a law and judges a law. So if you judge a law you are not a law-doer but a judge.
12 ୧୨ ପର୍ମେସର୍ସେ ନିୟମ୍ ଦେଇପାର୍ସି । ସେ ସେ ଆମ୍କେ ବିଚାର୍ କରିପାର୍ସି । ସେ ସେ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ରକିଆ କରିପାର୍ସି ଆରି ସେ ସେ କୁରୁପ୍ନାସ୍ କରିପାର୍ସି । ମାତର୍ ତମେ କେ ଜେ, ବିନ୍ ଲକର୍ ବିଚାର୍ କରିପାରାସ୍?
The Lawgiver and Judge is One, the one who is able to save and to destroy. So who are you (sg) to be judging someone who is different?
13 ୧୩ ତେବେ ମର୍ କାତା ସୁନା । ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ଜନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଏନ୍ତାରି କାତା ଅଇତେରଇସା, ଆଜି ନଇଲେ କାଲିକେ ଆମେ ଏ ନଅରେ କି ସେ ନଅରେ ଜିବୁ, ତେଇ ବର୍ସେକ୍ ରଇବୁ ଆରି ବେବାର୍ କରି ଡାବୁ ଅରଜ୍ବୁ ।
Come now, you who say, “Today and tomorrow let us travel to that certain city, spend a year there, do business and make a profit;”
14 ୧୪ ମାତର୍ କାଲିକେ କାଇଟା ଗଟ୍ସି, ସେଟା ତମେତା ନାଜାନାସ୍! ତମର୍ ଜିବନ୍ ଦୁଉଁରି ସମାନ୍, ଜନ୍ଟାକି ଚନେକର୍ ପାଇ ଡିସ୍ସି ଆରି ମାୟା ଅଇଜାଇସି ।
whereas you do not know anything about the morrow. For what is our life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time but then vanishes away.
Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
16 ୧୬ ମାତର୍ ତମେ ସେନ୍ତାରି କରାସ୍ ନାଇ । ଆଁକ୍ରିଆମନ୍ ଆରି ବଡ୍ପନ୍ କାତା କଉଁମନ୍ । ଏନ୍ତାରି ବଡ୍ପନ୍ କାତା କଇବାଟା ବୁଲ୍ଆଚେ ।
But now you boast in your arrogant pretensions. All such boasting is malignant.
17 ୧୭ ଏତାଇ ରୁଆ । ଜେ ଜଦି ଏଟା ନିକ କାମ୍ ବଲି ଜାନେ, ମାତର୍ ସେଟା ନ କରେ ବଇଲେ, ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଦେକ୍ବା ଇସାବେ ସେ ଦସ୍ କଲାଆଚେ ।
Therefore, to the one knowing to do good and not doing it, to him it is sin.
