୧ମ ତିମତି 3
1 ୧ ଏ କାତା ସତ୍ ଜେ, କେ ଜଦି ମଣ୍ଡଲିଟାନେ ମୁକିଅ ପଦ୍ ପାଇବାକେ ମନ୍ କଲାନି, ତେବେ ସେ ନିମାନ୍ କାମ୍ କର୍ବାକେ ମନ୍ କଲାନି ।
It is certain, if any one is desirous of the episcopal office, he desireth a good work.
2 ୨ ତେବର୍ପାଇ ଜେନ୍ତିକି ତାର୍ ଜିବନେ ବିନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନର୍ କାଇ ନିନ୍ଦା ନ ରଇବାର୍ । ସେ ଗଟେକ୍ ମାଇଜି ସଙ୍ଗଇରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ନିଜେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ୍ ରଇକରି, ନିଜର୍ ଜିବନେ ସୁସ୍ତା ରଇକରି, ସବୁଲକର୍ ସନ୍ମାନ୍ ପାଇକରି, ଆଇଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଡାକିନେବା ପାରା ଲକ୍ ଅଇକରି, ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ବୁଦିର୍ କାତା ସିକାଇବା ଲକ୍ ଅଇ,
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, sober, prudent, grave,
3 ୩ ନ ମାତି କରି, କିରମାର୍ ନ ଅଇକରି ସାନ୍ତିସଙ୍ଗ୍ ରଇ, ଦଦାପେଲା ନ ଅଇକରି, ଦନ୍ ମିଲାଇବାକେ ଆସା ନ ଅଇକରି ରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
hospitable, able to teach, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of sordid gain, moderate, not quarrelsome,
4 ୪ ନିଜର୍ କୁଟୁମ୍କେ ନିକକରି ଚାଲାଇତେରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ଆରି ତାର୍ ପିଲାଟକିମନ୍କେ ସେ ତିଆର୍ଲାଟା ମାନ୍ବାକେ ବାଦିଅ କରାଇବା ସିକିଆ ଦେଇରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
not covetous, governing his own family well, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 ୫ ଜଦି କେ ମିସା ନିଜର୍ କୁଟୁମ୍କେ ଚାଲାଇବାର୍ ନାଜାନେ, ସେ କେନ୍ତି ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ମଣ୍ଡଲିର୍ ଦାଇତ୍ ନେଇପାର୍ସି?
(for if any one know not how to govern his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 ୬ ସେ ନୁଆ ନୁଆ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ବା ଲକ୍ ନ ରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ନଇଲେ ସେ ବଡ୍ପନିଆ ଅଇକରି ସଇତାନ୍ ଜେନ୍ତାରି ଡଣ୍ଡ୍ ପାଇଲା, ସେ ମିସା ସେନ୍ତାର୍ ଡଣ୍ଡ୍ ପାଇସି ।
not one newly converted, least being puffed up he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 ୭ ତାର୍ ଚଲାଚଲ୍ତି ଦେକି ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ନ କର୍ବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ମିସା ତାକେ ଗଟେକ୍ ସନ୍ମାନର୍ ଲକ୍ ପାରା ନାମ୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ଜେନ୍ତିକି ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ତାକେ ନିନ୍ଦା ନ କରି ସଇତାନର୍ ପାନ୍ଦେ ନ ଲାଗେ ।
He ought also to have an honorable testimony from those that are without, least he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 ୮ ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ମଣ୍ଡଲିର୍ ସେବା କରୁମନ୍ ମୁକିଅର୍ ପାରା ସବୁ ଲକର୍ଟାନେଅନି ସନ୍ମାନ୍ ପାଇବା ଲକ୍ ରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ସେମନ୍ ସତ୍ ବାବେ ଚଲାଚଲ୍ତି କର୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ମଦୁଆ ଲକ୍ ଅଇ ରଇବାର୍ ନାଇ । ଡାବୁକାସୁର୍ ପାଇ ଆସା ନ ରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
The deacons should likewise be grave, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of base gain,
9 ୯ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଜନ୍ ସତ୍ କବର୍ ସେମନ୍କେ ଜାନାଇଆଚେ, ସେଟା ସେମନ୍ ଡାଟ୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ଆରି ସେମନ୍ ପାପେ ରଉନାଇ ବଲି ତାକର୍ ବିବେକ୍ ସାକିଦେବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 ୧୦ ମଣ୍ଡଲିର୍ ସେବାକରୁ ଅଇବା ଆଗ୍ତୁ ବିନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ସେମନ୍କେ ପରିକା କରି ଦେକତ୍ । କାଇ ଦସ୍ ନ ରଇଲେ ସେମନ୍ ସେବା କର୍ବାକେ ଦାଇତ୍ ନେଅତ୍ ।
(And let these also first be proved, then let them take the office of deacons, if they be found blameless.)
11 ୧୧ ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ତାକର୍ ମାଇଜିମନ୍ ମିସା ବିନ୍ଲକର୍ ସନ୍ମାନ୍ ପାଇଲା ପାରା ଚଲାଚଲ୍ତି କରତ୍ । ସେମନ୍ ତିପୁଲ୍ କାତା କଇବାର୍ ନାଇ । ତାର୍ ବାଦୁଲେ ନିଜେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ୍ ରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ସେମନ୍ ସତ୍ ଲକ୍ ବଲି ବିନ୍ ଲକ୍ ଆସା କର୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
And their wives likewise grave, not slanderers, sober, and faithful in all things.
12 ୧୨ ସେବାକରୁ ଗଟେକ୍ ମାଇଜି ସଙ୍ଗଇ, ତାର୍ ପିଲାଟକିମନ୍କେ, ତାର୍ କୁଟୁମର୍ ବିନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ, ଆରି ଗତିଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାମନ୍କେ ନିକସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଜତନ୍ କର୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
Let the deacons too be husbands of one wife only, governing their children and their own houses well.
13 ୧୩ ସେବାକାରିଆମନ୍ ଆବଡ୍ ଅଇ ନିକ କାମ୍ କଲେ, ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ଟାନେଅନି ଅଦିକ୍ ସନ୍ମାନ୍ ମିଲ୍ସି । ସେନ୍ତାରି ଲକ୍ କିରିସ୍ଟ ଜିସୁର୍ ବିସଇ ବିନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଡାଟ୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ କଇପାର୍ବାଇ ।
For they, that discharge the office of a deacon well, gain to themselves a good degree of honor, and much freedom in promoting the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
14 ୧୪ ମୁଇ ଏପିସେ ଆସି ଦାପ୍ରେ ତମ୍କେ ଦେକ୍ବି ବଲି ମନ୍ କଲିନି । ଅଇଲେ ମିସା ଏ ଚିଟିଟାନେ ତମ୍କେ ମୁଇ ତିଆର୍ଲିନି ।
These things I write unto thee, hoping to come to thee shortly.
15 ୧୫ କାଇକେବଇଲେ ଜଦି ମର୍ ଆଇବାଟା ଅଲ୍ସମ୍ ଅଇଲେ ମିସା, ପର୍ମେସରର୍ କୁଟୁମ୍ ଇସାବେ ମଣ୍ଡଲିଟାନେ ତମେ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ ଆରିଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍କେ କେନ୍ତାରି ମିସିକରି ରଇବାର୍ଆଚେ, ସେ ବିସଇ ତମେ ଜାନ୍ସା । ଏ ମଣ୍ଡଲି ପର୍ମେସରର୍, ଜେକି ସତଇସେ ବଁଚିଆଚେ । ସେ କୁନାଦି ଆରି ମୁଲ୍ ଡେଲି ପାରା ଅଇ ସତ୍ ବିସଇକେ ଡାଟ୍ କରାଇଲାନି ।
But if I should be retarded, that thou mayst know how thou oughtest to behave in the house of God, the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.
16 ୧୬ ଆମର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ଟାନେ କେ ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ପାରା ବିସଇ ଲୁଚିକରି ଆଚେ । ସେନ୍ତାରି ନଏଁ ବଲି କେ କଇନାପାରତ୍ । “ଜିସୁକିରିସ୍ଟ ନର୍ ରୁପ୍ ଦାରି ଆଇଲା । ସେ ନିଜେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ପଅ ବଲି ସୁକଲ୍ ଆତ୍ମା କାତାଦେଲା ଆଚେ । ଦୁତ୍ମନ୍ ତାକେ ଦେକ୍ଲାଇ । ତାର୍ ବିସଇର୍ ସତ୍ କବର୍ ଗୁଲାଇ ରାଇଜେ ଜାନାଇଲାଇ । ସବୁ ଜାଗାର୍ କେତେକ୍ କେତକ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ତାକେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କଲାଇ । ପର୍ମେସର୍ ତାକେ ସର୍ଗେ ନେଲା ।”
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into glory.
