Salme 99

1 HERREN har vist, han er Konge, Folkene bæver, han troner på Keruber, Jorden skælver!

Adonai reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim. Let the earth be moved.

2 Stor er HERREN på Zion, ophøjet over alle Folkeslag;

Adonai is great in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]. He is high above all the peoples.

3 de priser dit Navn, det store og frygtelige; hellig er han!

Let them yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to your great and awesome name. He is Holy!

4 Du er en Konge, der elsker Retfærd, Retten har du grundfæstet, i Jakob, øved du Ret og Retfærd.

The King’s strength also 'ahav ·affectionately loves· mishpat ·justice·. You do establish equity. You execute mishpat ·justice· and righteousness in Jacob [Supplanter].

5 Ophøj HERREN vor Gud, bøj eder for hans Fødders Skammel; hellig er han!

Exalt Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship at his footstool. He is Holy!

6 Moses og Aron er blandt hans Præster og Samuel blandt dem, der påkalder hans Navn; de råber til HERREN, han svarer;

Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on Adonai, and he answered them.

7 i Skystøtten taler han til dem, de holder hans Vidnesbyrd, Loven, han gav dem;

He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies, the statute that he gave them.

8 HERRE vor Gud, du svarer dem. Du var dem en Gud, som tilgav og frikendte dem, for hvad de gjorde.

You answered them, Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. You are a God who forgave them, although you took vengeance for their doings.

9 Ophøj HERREN vor Gud, bøj eder for hans hellige Bjerg, thi hellig er HERREN vor Gud!

Exalt Adonai, our God. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship at his holy hill, for Adonai, our God, is holy!
