< Salme 62 >

1 (Til sangmesteren. Til Jedutun. En salme af David.) Min Sjæl er Stille for Gud alene, min Frelse kommer fra ham;
My soul waits in silence for God only. From him is my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower. I shall not be greatly moved.
How long will ye set upon a man, that ye may kill, all of you, like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
(Sela)
They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. (Selah)
5 Vær stille hos Gud alene, min Sjæl, thi fra ham kommer mit Håb;
My soul, wait thou in silence for God only, for my expectation is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower. I shall not be moved.
7 Hos Gud er min Hjælp og min Ære, min stærke Klippe, min Tilflugt har jeg i Gud;
With God is my salvation and my glory. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
8 stol på ham, al Folkets Forsamling, udøs for ham eders Hjerte, Gud er vor Tilflugt. (Sela)
Trust in him at all times, ye people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. (Selah)
Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than vanity.
Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery. If riches increase, set not your heart on it.
God has spoken once, twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.
12 Og Miskundhed er hos dig, o Herre. Thi enhver gengælder du efter hans Gerning.
Also to thee, O Lord, belongs loving kindness, for thou render to every man according to his work.
