< Salme 6 >

1 (Til sangmesteren. Med strengespil. Efter den ottende. En salme af David.) HERRE, revs mig ej i din Vrede, tugt mig ej i din Harme,
In parts according to verses. A Psalm of David. For the octave. O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your anger.
2 vær mig nådig Herre, jeg sygner hen, mine Ledmod skælver, læg mig, Herre!
Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones have become disturbed,
3 Såre skælver min Sjæl; o HERRE, hvor længe endnu?
and my soul has been very troubled. But as for you, Lord, when?
4 Vend tilbage, HERRE, og frels min Sjæl, hjælp mig dog for din Miskundheds Skyld!
Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.
5 Thi i Døden kommes du ikke i Hu, i Dødsriget hvo vil takke dig der? (Sheol h7585)
For there is no one in death who would be mindful of you. And who will confess to you in Hell? (Sheol h7585)
6 Jeg er så træt af at sukke; jeg væder hver Nat mit Leje, bader med Tårer min Seng;
I have labored in my groaning. Every night, with my tears, I will wash my bed and drench my blanket.
7 mit Øje hentæres af Sorg, sløves for alle mine Fjenders Skyld.
My eye has been troubled by rage. I have grown old among all my enemies.
8 Vig fra mig, alle I Udådsmænd, thi HERREN har hørt min Gråd,
Scatter before me, all you who work iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
9 HERREN har hørt min Tryglen, min Bøn tager HERREN imod.
The Lord has heard my supplication. The Lord has accepted my prayer.
10 Beskæmmes skal alle mine Fjender og såre forfærdes, brat skal de vige med Skam.
Let all my enemies be ashamed and together be greatly troubled. May they be converted and become ashamed very quickly.
