< Salme 15 >

1 (En salme af David.) HERRE, hvo kan gæste dit Telt, hvo kan bo på dit hellige Bjerg?
A Melody of David. O Yahweh! Who shall be a guest in thy tent? Who shall abide in thy holy mountain?
2 Den, som vandrer fuldkomment og øver Ret, taler Sandhed af sit Hjerte;
He that walketh without blame, and doeth what is right, and speaketh truth with his heart;
3 ikke bagtaler med sin Tunge, ikke volder sin Næste ondt og ej bringer Skam over Ven,
Hath not carried slander on his tongue, hath not done his friend a wrong, nor, a reproach, taken up against his neighbour;
4 som agter den forkastede ringe, men ærer dem, der frygter HERREN, ej bryder Ed, han svor til egen Skade,
Despised in his sight, is the reprobate, but, them who revere Yahweh, he doth honour, he hath sworn to his neighbour, and will not change;
5 ej låner Penge ud mod Åger og ej tager Gave mod skyldfri. Hvo således gør, skal aldrig rokkes.
His silver, hath he not put out on interest, nor, a bribe against the innocent, hath he taken. He that doeth these things, shall not be shaken unto times age-abiding.
