Josua 18
1 Hele Israeliternes Menighed kom sammen i Silo, og de rejste Åbenbaringsteltet der, da de nu havde underlagt sig Landet.
And alle the sones of Israel weren gaderid in Silo, and there thei `settiden faste the tabernacle of witnessing; and the lond was suget to hem.
2 Men der var endnu syv Stammer tilbage af Israeliterne, som ikke havde fået deres Arvelod tildelt.

3 Josua sagde derfor til Israeliterne: "Hvor længe vil I endnu nøle med at drage hen og tage det Land i Besiddelse, som HERREN, eders Fædres Gud, har givet eder?
To whiche Josue seide, Hou longe faden ye `bi cowardise, `ethir slouthe, and entren not to welde the lond, which the Lord God of youre fadris yaf to you?
4 Udse eder tre Mænd af hver Stamme, som jeg kan udsende; de skal gøre sig rede og drage Landet rundt og affatte en Beskrivelse derover til Brug ved Fastsættelsen af deres Arvelod og så komme tilbage til mig.
Chese ye of ech lynage thre men, that Y sende hem, and thei go, and cumpasse the lond; and that thei discryue `the lond bi the noumbre of ech multitude, and brynge to me that, that ye han discriued.
5 De skal dele det i syv Dele; Juda skal beholde sit Område mod Syd og Josefs Slægt sit mod Nord.
Departe ye the lond to you in to seuene partis; Judas be in hise termes at the south coost, and `the hows of Joseph at the north;
6 Og I skal så affatte en Beskrivelse over Landet, delt i syv Dele, og bringe mig den; så vil jeg kaste Lod for eder her for HERREN vor Guds Åsyn.
discryue ye `the myddil lond bitwixe hem in to seuene partis; and thanne ye schulen come to me, that Y sende lot to you here bifor youre Lord God;
7 Thi Leviterne får ingen Del iblandt eder, da HERRENs Præstedømme er deres Arvelod; og Gad, Ruben og Manasses halve Stamme har på Jordans Østside fået deres Arvelod, som HERRENs Tjener Moses gav dem!"
for the part of Leuytis is not among you, but the preesthod of the Lord, this is the eritage `of hem. Forsothe Gad, and Ruben, and the half lynage of Manasses hadden take now her possessiouns ouer Jordan, at the eest coost, whiche possessiouns Moises, the `seruaunt of the Lord, yaf to hem.
8 Da begav Mændene sig på Vej; og Josua bød de bortdragende affatte en Beskrivelse over Landet, idet han sagde: "Drag Landet rundt, affat en Beskrivelse over det og kom så tilbage til mig; så vil jeg kaste Lod for eder her for HERRENs Åsyn i Silo!"
And whanne the men hadden rise to go, to discryue the lond, Josue comaundide to hem, and seide, Cumpasse ye the lond, and discryue it, and turne ayen to me, that Y sende lot to you here in Silo, bifore youre Lord God.
9 Så begav, Mændene sig på Vej og drog igennem Landet og affattede en Beskrivelse derover, By for By, i syv Dele; og derpå kom de tilbage til Josua i Lejren ved Silo.
And so thei yeden, and cumpassiden that lond, and departiden `in to seuene partis, writynge in a book; and thei turneden ayen to Josue, in to the castels in Silo.
10 Men Josua kastede Lod for dem i Silo for HERRENs Åsyn og udskiftede der Landet til Israeliterne, Afdeling, for Afdeling.
Which Josue sente lottis bifor the Lord God in Silo, and departide the lond to the sones of Israel, in to seuene partis.
11 Da faldt Loddet for Benjaminiternes Stamme efter deres Slægter; og det Område, der blev deres Lod, kom til at ligge mellem Judas og Josefs Sønner.
And the firste lot of the sones of Beniamyn, bi her meynees, stiede, that thei schulden welde the lond bitwixe the sones of Juda and the sones of Joseph.
12 Deres Nordgrænse begynder ved Jordan, og Grænsen strækker sig op til Bjergryggen norden for Jeriko og mod Vest op i Bjerglandet, så den ender i Bet-Avens Ørken;

13 derfra går Grænsen videre til Luz, til Bjergryggen sønden for Luz, det er Betel, og strækker sig ned til Atarot-Addar over Bjerget sønden for Nedre-Bet-Horon.
and it passide bisidis Luza to the south; thilke is Bethel; and it goith doun in to Astoroth Adar, in to the hil which is at the south of lowere Betheron; and is bowid,
14 Derpå bøjer Grænsen om og løber som Vestgrænse sydpå fra Bjerget lige sønden for Bet-Horon og ender ved Kirjat-Ba'al, det er den judæiske By Kirjat-Jearim; det er Vestgrænsen.
and cumpassith ayens the see, at the south of the hil that biholdith Betheron ayens the north; and the outgoyngis therof ben in to Cariathbaal, which is clepid also Cariathiarym, the citee of the sones of Juda; this is the greet coost ayens the see, at the west.
15 Sydgrænsen begynder ved Udkanten af Kirjat-Ba'al, og Grænsen går til Neftoas Vandkilde;
Sotheli fro the south, bi the part of Cariathiarym, the terme goith out ayens the see, and cometh til to the wel of watris of Nepthoa;
16 derpå strækker den sig ned til Randen af Bjerget lige over for Hinnoms Søns dal norden for Refaimdalen og videre til Hinnoms Dal sønden om Jebusiternes Bjergryg og til Rogelkilden;
and it goith doun in to the part of the hil that biholdith the valei of the sones of Ennon, and is ayens the north coost, in the laste part of the valey of Raphaym; and Jehennon, that is, the valei of Ennon, goith doun bi the side of Jebusei, at the south, and cometh to the welle of Rogel,
17 så drejer den nordpå og fortsætter til Sjemesjkilden og videre til Gelilot lige over for Adummimpasset, derpå ned til Rubens Søn Bohans Sten
and passith to the north, and goith out to Emsemes, that is, the welle of the sunne,
18 og går så videre til Bjergryggen norden for Bet-Araba og ned i Arabalavningen;
and passith to the litle hillis that ben ayens the stiyng of Adomyn; and it goith doun to Taben Boen, that is, the stoon of Boen, sone of Ruben, and passide bi the side of the north to the feeldi places; and it goith doun in to the pleyn,
19 så går den videre til bjergryggen norden for Bet-Hogla og ender norden for Salthavets Bugt ved Jordans Udløb; det er Sydgrænsen.
and passith forth ayens the north to Bethagala; and the outgoyngis therof ben ayens the arm of the salteste see, fro the north, in the ende of Jordan at the south coost,
20 Mod Øst danner Jordan Grænse. Det er Benjaminiternes Arvelod med dens Grænser efter deres Slægter.
which is the terme therof fro the eest. This is the possessioun of the sones of Beniamyn, bi her termes in cumpas, and bi her meynees;
21 Og Benjaminiternes Stammes Byer efter deres Slægter er følgende: Jeriko, Bet-Hogla, Emek-Keziz,
and the citees therof weren Jerico, and Bethagla, and the valei of Casis,
22 Bet-Araba, Zemarajim, Betel,
Betharacha, and Samaraym,
23 Avvim, Para, ofra,
and Bethel, and Anym, and Affara,
24 Kefar-Ammoni, Ofni og Geba; tilsammen tolv Byer med Landsbyer.
and Offira, the toun of Hesmona, and Offym, and Gabee, twelue citees, and `the townes of tho;
25 Gibeon, Rama, Be'erot,
Gabaon, and Rama,
26 Mizpe, Kefira, Moza,
and Beroth, and Mesphe, and Caphera, and Ammosa,
27 Rekem, Jirpe'el, Tar'ala,
and Recem, Jarephel, and Tharela,
28 Zela, Elef, Jebus, det er Jerusalem, Gibeat og Kirjat-Jearim; tilsammen fjorten Byer med Landsbyer. Det er Benjaminiternes Arvelod efter deres Slægter.
and Sela, Heleph, and Jebus, which is Jerusalem, Gabaath, and Cariath, fouretene citees and `the townes of tho; this is the possessioun of the sones of Beniamyn, bi her meynees.
