Hoseas 9
1 Israel, glæd dig ikke med Folkets jubel, ved Hor veg du bort fra din Gud, på hver en Tærskeplads elsker du Skøgens Løn.
May not you rejoice O Israel - to rejoicing like the peoples for you have prostituted yourself from with God your you have loved [the] hire of a prostitute on all threshing floors of grain.
2 Tærskeplads og Perse skal ej kendes ved dem, og Mosten slår fejl for dem.
Threshing floor and wine-press not it will feed them and new wine it will fail it.
3 Ej skal de blive i HERRENs Land; til Ægypten skal Efraim tilbage, spise uren Føde i Assur.
Not they will remain in [the] land of Yahweh and he will return Ephraim Egypt and in Assyria unclean [food] they will eat.
4 Ej skal de udgyde Vin for HERREN, ej heller gøre Slagtoffer rede. Som Sørgebrød er deres Brød, det gør hver, som spiser det uren: thi Hungeren kræver alt Brødet, i HERRENs Hus kommer intet.
Not they will pour out to Yahweh - wine and not they will be pleasing to him sacrifices their [will be] like bread of mourning to them all [those who] eat it they will make themselves unclean for bread their [will be] for self their not it will go [the] house of Yahweh.
5 Hvad gør I på Højtidsdagen, på HERRENs Festdag?
What? will you do to [the] day of an appointed feast and to [the] day of [the] festival of Yahweh.
6 Slipper de bort fra Vold, skal Ægypten sanke dem op og Memfis jorde dem; deres kostbare Sølvtøj skal Tidsler arve, Nælder skal bo i deres Telte.

7 Hjemsøgelsens Dage kommer, Gengældelsens Dage, det skal Israel mærke. "Afsindig er Profeten, forrykt den af Ånden grebne" fordi din Brøde er stor og Fjendskabet stort!
They have come - [the] days of punishment they have come [the] days of retribution let them know Israel [is] a fool the prophet [is] mad [the] person of the spirit on [the] greatness of iniquity your and great animosity.
8 I sin Guds Hus lurer Efraim på Profeten; der er Snarer på alle hans Veje, man gør Faldgruben dyb.

11 Deres Herlighed flyver som Fugle, Fødsel, Svangerskab, Undfangelse forbi!

14 Giv dem, HERRE ja hvad skal du give? Du give dem barnløst Skød og golde Bryster!

16 Efraim er ramt, dets Rod er vissen, de bærer slet ingen Frugt; og får de end Børn, jeg dræber den dyre Livsfrugt.

17 Deres Gud vil forkaste dem, fordi de ej adlød ham; hjemløse bliver de blandt Folkene.
