5 Mosebog 2
1 Så vendte vi om og brød op til Ørkenen i Retning af det røde Hav, således som HERREN havde pålagt mig, og i lang Tid vandrede vi rundt om Seirs Bjerge.
And we turned and we set out the wilderness towards [the] way of [the] sea of reed[s] just as he had spoken Yahweh to me and we went around [the] hill country of Seir days many.
2 Da sagde HERREN til mig:
And he said Yahweh to me saying.
3 "Nu har I længe nok vandret rundt om Bjergene her; vend eder nu mod Nord!
[is] enough For you going round the hill country this turn yourselves north-ward.
4 Men byd Folket og sig: Når I nu drager igennem eders Brødres, Esaus Sønners, Landemærker, de, som bor i Seir, og de bliver bange for eder, så skal I tage eder vel i Vare
And the people command saying you [are] about to pass in [the] territory of relatives your [the] descendants of Esau who dwell in Seir so they may be afraid from you and you will take heed exceedingly.
5 for at indlade eder i Krig med dem; thi jeg vil ikke give eder så meget som en Fodsbred af deres Land; thi Esau har jeg givet Seirs Bjerge i Arv og Eje.
May not you engage in strife with them for not I will give to you any of land their up to a treading place of [the] sole of a foot for a possession to Esau I have given [the] hill country of Seir.
6 Fødevarer at spise skal I købe af dem for Penge, også Vand at drikke skal I købe af dem for Penge;
Food you will buy from with them for silver and you will eat and also water you will buy from with them for silver and you will drink.
7 thi HERREN din Gud har velsignet dig i alt, hvad du har taget dig for, han har sørget for dig på din Vandring gennem denne store Ørken; i fyrretyve År har, HERREN din Gud nu været med dig, du har ikke manglet noget."
For Yahweh God your he has blessed you in all [the] work of hand your he has known walking you the wilderness great this this - forty year[s] Yahweh God your [has been] with you not you have lacked anything.
8 Derpå drog vi fra Elat og Ezjongeber ad Arabavejen gennem vore Brødres, Esaus Sønners Land, de, som bor i Se'ir; så drejede vi af og drog videre ad Vejen til Moabs Ørken.
And we passed away from with relatives our [the] descendants of Esau who were dwelling in Seir from [the] way of the desert plain from Elath and from Ezion Geber. And we turned and we passed along [the] way of [the] wilderness of Moab.
9 Og HERREN sagde til mig: "Du må ikke angribe Moab eller indlade dig i Krig med dem, thi jeg vil ikke give dig noget af deres Land i Eje; thi Lots Sønner har jeg givet Ar i Eje.
And he said Yahweh to me to you may provoke Moab and may not you engage in strife with them battle for not I will give to you any of land his a possession for to [the] descendants of Lot I have given Ar a possession.
10 Fordum beboedes det af Emiterne, et stort og talrigt Folk, kæmpestore som Anakiterne;
The Emites before they dwelt in it a people great and numerous and lofty like the Anakites.
11 også de henregnes ligesom Anakiterne til Refaiterne, men Moabiterne kalder dem Emiter.
Rephaites they were regarded also they like the Anakites and the Moabites they called them Emites.
12 I Se'ir boede derimod fordum Horiterne, som Esaus Sønner drev bort og udryddede foran sig, hvorefter de bosatte sig der i deres Sted, ligesom Israel gjorde ved sit Ejendomsland, som HERREN gav dem.
And in Seir they dwelt the Horites before and [the] descendants of Esau they dispossessed them and they destroyed them from before them and they dwelt in place of them just as it did Israel to [the] land of possession its which he gave Yahweh to them.
13 Bryd nu op og gå over Zeredbækken! Så gik vi over Zeredbækken.
Now arise and pass over yourselves [the] wadi of Zered and we passed over [the] wadi of Zered.
14 Der var gået otte og tredive År fra vort Opbrud fra Kadesj Barnea, til vi gik over Zeredbækken, til hele din Slægt af våbenføre Mænd var uddød af Lejren, således som HERREN havde svoret dem;
And the days which we walked - from Kadesh Barnea until that we passed over [the] wadi of Zered [were] thirty and eight year[s] until was finished all the generation [the] men of war from [the] midst of the camp just as he had sworn Yahweh to them.
15 også HERRENs Hånd havde været imod dem, så de blev udryddet af Lejren til sidste Mand.
And also [the] hand of Yahweh it was on them to disturb them from [the] midst of the camp until were finished they.
16 Men da alle våbenføre Mænd var uddøde af Folket,
And it was just when they had finished all [the] men of war to die from [the] midst of the people.
17 talede HERREN til mig og sagde:
And he spoke Yahweh to me saying.
18 Når du nu drager gennem Moabs Landemærker, gennem Ar,
You [are] about to pass over this day [the] border of Moab Ar.
19 og således når hen til Ammoniterne, så må du ikke angribe dem eller indlade dig i Krig med dem, thi jeg vil ikke give dig noget af Ammoniternes Land i Eje; thi det har jeg givet Lots Børn i Eje.
And you will draw near in front of [the] people of Ammon may not you provoke them and may not you engage in strife with them for not I will give any of [the] land of [the] people of Ammon to you a possession for to [the] descendants of Lot I have given it a possession.
20 Også det henregnes til Refaiternes Land; det beboedes fordum af Refaiter, men Ammoniterne kalder dem Zamzummiter.
[the] land of [the] Rephaites It was regarded also it [the] Rephaites they dwelt in it before and the Ammonites they called them Zamzummites.
21 Det var et stort og talrigt Folk, kæmpestore som Anakiterne. Men HERREN udryddede dem foran dem, så de drev dem bort og bosatte sig der i deres Sted,
A people great and numerous and lofty like the Anakites and he destroyed them Yahweh from before them and they dispossessed them and they dwelt in place of them.
22 ligesom han gjorde for Esaus Sønner, der bor i Se'ir, for hvem han udryddede Horiterne, så de drev dem bort og bosatte sig der i deres Sted, og de bor der den Dag i dag.
Just as he had done for [the] descendants of Esau who were dwelling in Seir whom he destroyed the Horite[s] from before them and they dispossessed them and they have dwelt in place of them until the day this.
23 Men Avvijiterne, der boede i Landsbyer i Egnene henimod Gaza, dem drev Kaftorerne, der var udvandret fra Kaftor, bort og bosatte sig der i deres Sted.
And the Avvites who were dwelling in villages to Gaza [the] Caphtorites who came forth from Caphtor they destroyed them and they dwelt in place of them.
24 Bryd nu op og gå over Arnonfloden! Se, jeg har givet Hesjbons Konge, Amoriten Sihon, og hans Land i din Hånd; giv dig kun til at drive ham bort og føre Krig med ham!
Arise set out and pass over [the] wadi of Arnon see I give in hand your Sihon [the] king of Heshbon the Amorite and land his begin take possession of [it] and engage in strife with him battle.
25 Fra i Dag af begynder jeg at vække Frygt og Rædsel for dig hos alle Folkeslag under Himmelen; blot de hører om dig, skal de ryste og bæve for dig!
The day this I will begin to put dread your and fear your on [the] face of the peoples under all the heavens who they will hear! report your and they will tremble and they will be in anguish because of you.
26 Da udsendte jeg Sendebud fra Kedemots Ørken til Kong Sihon af Hesjbon med følgende fredelige Tilbud:
And I sent messengers from [the] wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon [the] king of Heshbon words of peace saying.
27 "Lad mig drage gennem dit Land; jeg skal holde mig til Vejen uden at bøje af til højre eller venstre.
Let me pass in land your on the road on the road I will go not I will turn aside right [hand] and left [hand].
28 Fødevarer at spise skal du sælge mig for Penge, og Vand at drikke skal du give mig for Penge, jeg beder kun om at måtte drage igennem til Fods,
Food for silver you will sell me and I will eat and water for silver you will give to me and I will drink only let me pass through on feet my.
29 således som Esaus Sønner, der bor i Se'ir, og Moabiterne, der bor i Ar, tillod mig, indtil jeg kommer over Jordan ind i det Land, HERREN vor Gud vil give os!"
Just as they did for me [the] descendants of Esau who dwell in Seir and the Moabites who dwell in Ar until that I will pass over the Jordan into the land which Yahweh God our [is] about to give to us.
30 Men Kong Sihon i Hesjbon vilde ikke tillade os at drage igennem; thi HERREN din Gud forhærdede hans Ånd og gjorde hans Hjerte hårdt for at give ham i din Hånd, som det nu er sket.
And not he was willing Sihon [the] king of Heshbon to let pass us in him for he had made stubborn Yahweh God your spirit his and he had made obstinate heart his so as to give him in hand your as the day this.
31 Derpå sagde HERREN til mig: "Se, jeg har allerede begyndt at give Sihon og hans Land i din Magt; giv dig kun til at drive ham bort for at tage hans Land i Besiddelse!"
And he said Yahweh to me see I have begun to deliver up before you Sihon and land his begin take possession to take possession of land his.
32 Så rykkede Sihon med alle sine Krigere ud imod os til Kamp ved Jaza;
And he came forth Sihon to meet us he and all people his for battle Jahaz towards.
33 og HERREN vor Gud gav ham i vor Magt, og vi slog ham og hans Sønner og alle hans Krigere.
And he delivered up him Yahweh God our before us and we struck down him and (sons his *Q(K)*) and all people his.
34 Og vi indtog dengang alle hans Byer og lagde i enhver By Band på Mænd, Kvinder og Børn uden at lade en eneste undslippe;
And we captured all cities his at the time that and we totally destroyed every city of men and the women and the little one[s] not we spared a survivor.
35 kun Kvæget tog vi selv som Bytte, tillige med hvad vi røvede i de erobrede Byer.
Only the livestock we plundered for ourselves and [the] booty of the cities which we had captured.
36 Fra Aroer ved Arnonflodens Bred og Byen, der ligger i Dalen, og til Gilead var der ikke en By, som var os uindtagelig; HERREN vor Gud gav dem alle i vor Magt.
From Aroer which [is] on [the] edge of [the] wadi of Arnon and the city which [is] in the wadi and to Gilead not it was a town which it was [too] high for us every one he delivered up Yahweh God our before us.
37 Men på Ammoniternes Land forgreb du dig ikke, hverken det, der ligger langs Jabbokfloden, eller Byerne i Bjergene, således som HERREN vor Gud havde påbudt.
Only to [the] land of [the] people of Ammon not you drew near all [the] side of [the] wadi of Jabbok and [the] cities of the hill country and all that he had commanded Yahweh God our.
