Anden Kongebog 10

1 Der var i Samaria halvfjerdsindstyve Sønner af Akab. Jehu skrev nu Breve og sendte dem til Samaria til Byens Øverster, deÆldste og Akabs Sønners Fosterfædre. Deri stod:

And [belonged] to Ahab seventy sons in Samaria and he wrote Jehu letters and he sent [them] Samaria to [the] officials of Jezreel the elders and to the guardians Ahab saying.

2 "I har jo eders Herres Sønner hos eder og råder over Stridsvognene og Hestene, Fæstningerne og Våbenforrådene. Når nu dette Brev kommer eder i Hænde,

And now (when comes *LB(ah)*) the letter this to you and [are] with you [the] sons of master your and [are] with you chariotry and horses and a city of fortification and weaponry.

3 udvælg så den bedste og dygtigste af eders Herres Sønner, sæt ham på hans Faders Trone og kæmp for eders Herres Hus!"

And you will see the good and the right of [the] sons of master your and you will set [him] on [the] throne of father his and fight on [the] house of master your.

4 Men de grebes af stor Forfærdelse og sagde: "Se, de to Konger kunde ikke stå sig imod ham, hvor skal vi så kunne det?"

And they were afraid very very and they said there! [the] two the kings not they stood before him and how? will we stand we.

5 Derfor sendte Paladsets og Byens øverste Befalingsmænd, de Ældste og Fosterfædrene det Bud til Jehu: "Vi er dine Trælle, og alt, hvad du kræver af os, vil vi gøre. Vi vil ikke gøre nogen til Konge; gør, hvad du finder for godt!"

And he sent [the one] who [was] over the house and [the one] who [was] over the city and the elders and the guardians to Jehu - saying [are] servants your we and all that you will say to us we will do not we will make king anyone the good in view your do.

6 Da skrev han et nyt Brev til dem, og der stod: "Dersom I holder med mig og vil høre mig, tag så eders Herres Sønners Hoveder og kom i Morgen ved denne Tid til mig i Jizre'el!" Kongesønnerne, halvfjerdsindstyve Mænd, var nemlig hos Byens Stormænd, som var deres Fosterfædre.

And he wrote to them a letter - second saying if [belong] to me you and to voice my - you [are] listening take [the] heads of [the] men of [the] sons of master your and come to me about this time tomorrow Jezreel towards and [the] sons of the king seventy man [were] with [the] great [people] of the city [who] were bringing up them.

7 Da Brevet kom til dem, tog de Kongesønnerne og dræbte dem, halvfjerdsindstyve Mænd, lagde deres Hoveder i Kurve og sendte dem til Jehu i Jizre'el.

And it was when came the letter to them and they took [the] sons of the king and they slaughtered seventy man and they put heads their in baskets and they sent [them] to him Jezreel towards.

8 Da Budet kom og meldte: "Kongesønnernes Hoveder er bragt hid!" sagde han: "Læg dem i to Bunker foran Porten til i Morgen!"

And he came the messenger and he told to him saying they have brought [the] heads of [the] sons of the king and he said make them two heaps [the] entrance of the gate until the morning.

9 Næste Morgen gik han ud, trådte frem og sagde til alt Folket: "I er uden Skyld; det er mig, der har stiftet en Sammensværgelse mod min Herre og dræbt ham - men hvem har dræbt alle disse?

And it was in the morning and he went out and he stood and he said to all the people [are] righteous you here! I I conspired on master my and I killed him and who? did he strike down all these.

10 Kend nu, at intet af det Ord, HERREN talede mod Akabs Hus, var faldet til Jorden, men HERREN har gjort, hvad han talede ved sin Tjener Elias!"

Know then that not it will fall any of [the] word of Yahweh [the] ground towards which he has spoken Yahweh on [the] house of Ahab and Yahweh he has done [that] which he spoke by [the] hand of servant his Elijah.

11 Derpå lod Jehu alle dem, der var tilbage af Akabs Hus i Jizre'el, dræbe, alle hans Stormænd, Venner og Præster, så at ikke en eneste blev tilbage og slap bort.

And he struck down Jehu all those [who] remained of [the] house of Ahab in Jezreel and all great [men] his and acquaintances his and priests his until not he had left to him a survivor.

12 Så brød han op og drog ad Samaria til. Da han kom til Bet Eked-Haro'im ved Vejen,

And he arose and he went and he went Samaria he [was at] Beth Eked of [the] Shepherds on [the] way.

13 mødte han Kong Ahazja af Judas Brødre. Han spurgte dem: "Hvem er I?" De svarede: "Vi er Ahazjas Brødre, og vi drager herned for at hilse på Kongens og Kongemoderens Sønner."

And Jehu he found [the] brothers of Ahaziah [the] king of Judah and he said who? [are] you and they said [are] [the] brothers of Ahaziah we and we have come down for [the] peace of [the] sons of the king and [the] sons of the queen-mother.

14 Da sagde han: "Grib dem levende!" Så greb de dem levende, og han lod dem dræbe ved Bet Ekeds Brønd, to og fyrretyve Mænd; ikke een lod han blive tilbage.

And he said seize them alive and they seized them alive and they slaughtered them to [the] pit of Beth Eked forty and two man and not he spared anyone from them.

15 Da han drog videre, traf han Jonadab, Rekabs Søn, der kom ham i Møde, og han hilste på ham og spurgte: "Er du af Hjertet oprigtig mod mig som jeg mod dig?" Jonadab svarede: "Ja, jeg er!" Da sagde Jehu: "Så giv mig din Hånd!" Han gav ham da Hånden, og Jehu tog ham op til sig i Vognen

And he went from there and he found Jonadab [the] son of Rechab to meet him and he blessed him and he said to him ¿ [is] there with heart your right just as heart my [is] with heart your and he said Jonadab there is and there is give! hand your and he gave hand his and he took up him to himself into the chariot.

16 og sagde: "Følg mig og se min Nidkærhed for HERREN!" Og han tog ham med i Vognen,

And he said come! with me and look on zeal my for Yahweh and they made ride him in chariot his.

17 Så drog han til Samaria og lod alle, der var tilbage af Akabs Slægt i Samaria, dræbe, så at den blev fuldstændig udryddet efter det Ord, HERREN havde talet til Elias.

And he came Samaria and he struck down all those [who] remained of Ahab in Samaria until he had destroyed him according to [the] word of Yahweh which he had spoken to Elijah.

18 Derefter kaldte Jebu hele Folket sammen og sagde til dem: "Akab dyrkede Ba'al lidt, Jehu vil dyrke ham mere!

And he gathered Jehu all the people and he said to them Ahab he served Baal a little Jehu he will serve him much.

19 Kald derfor alle Ba'als Profeter, alle, der dyrker ham, og alle hans Præster hid til mig, ikke een må udeblive, thi jeg har et stort Slagtoffer for til Ære for Ba'al; enhver, der udebliver, skal bøde med Livet!" Men det var en Fælde, Jehu stillede, for at udrydde Ba'alsdyrkerne.

And therefore all [the] prophets of Baal all [those who] serve him and all priests his summon to me anyone may not he be missing for a sacrifice great [belongs] to me to Baal any [one] who he will be missing not he will live and Jehu he acted with guile so as to destroy [those who] serve Baal.

20 Derpå sagde Jehu: "Helliger en festlig Samling til Ære for Ba'al!" Og de udråbte en festlig Samling.

And he said Jehu consecrate an assembly to Baal and they proclaimed [it].

21 Og Jehu sendte Bud rundt i hele Israel, og alle Ba'alsdyrkerne uden Undtagelse indfandt sig; de begav sig til Ba'als Hus, og det blev fuldt fra Ende til anden.

And he sent Jehu in all Israel and they came all [those who] serve Baal and not he was left anyone who not he came and they went [the] house of Baal and it was filled [the] house of Baal mouth to mouth.

22 Så sagde han til Opsynsman den over Klædekammeret: "Tag en Klædning frem til hver af Ba'als dyrkerne!" Og han tog Klædningerne frem til dem.

And he said to [the one] who [was] over the wardrobe bring out clothing for all [those who] serve Baal and he brought out for them the clothing.

23 Så gik Jehu og Jonadab, Rekabs Søn, ind i Ba'als Hus; og han sagde til Ba'alsdyrkeme: "Se nu godt efter; at der ikke her iblandt eder findes nogen, som dyrker HERREN, men kun Ba'alsdyrkere!"

And he went Jehu and Jonadab [the] son of Rechab [the] house of Baal and he said to [those who] serve Baal search and see lest there here with you [be] any of [the] servants of Yahweh that except [those who] serve Baal to alone them.

24 Derpå gik han ind for at ofre Slagtofre og Brændofre. Men Jehu havde opstillet firsindstyve Mand udenfor og sagt: "Den, der lader nogen af de Mænd undslippe, som jeg overgiver i eders Hænder, skal bøde Liv for Liv!"

And they went to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings and Jehu he had stationed himself on the outside eighty man and he had said the man who he will escape from the men whom I [am] bringing on hands your life his in place of life his.

25 Da han så var færdig med at ofre Brændofferet, sagde han til Livvagten og Høvedsmændene: "Gå nu ind og hug dem ned! Ikke een må slippe bort!" Og de huggede dem ned med Sværdet, og Livvagten og Høvedsmændene slængte dem bort; så gik de ind i Ba'alshusets inderste Rum,

And it was when finished he - to offer the burnt offering and he said Jehu to the runners and to the officers go strike down them anyone may not he come out and they struck down them to [the] mouth of [the] sword and they threw [them] out the runners and the officers and they went to [the] city of [the] house of Baal.

26 bragte Ba'alshusets Asjerastøtte ud og opbrændte den;

And they brought out [the] sacred pillars of [the] house of Baal and they burned it.

27 og de nedbrød Ba'als Stenstøtte, rev Ba'als Hus ned og gjorde det til Nødtørftssteder, og, de er der den Dag i Dag.

And they pulled down [the] sacred pillar of Baal and they pulled down [the] house of Baal and they made it (outhouses *Q(K)*) until this day.

28 Således udryddede Jehu Ba'al af Israel.

And he destroyed Jehu Baal from Israel.

29 Men fra de Synder, Jeroboam, Nebats Søn, havde forledt Israel til, Guldkalvene i Betel og Dan, veg Jehu ikke.

Only [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel not he turned aside Jehu from after them [the] calves of gold which [were] Beth-el and which [were] in Dan.

30 Og HERREN sagde til Jehu: "Fordi du har handlet vel og gjort, hvad der er ret i mine Øjne, og handlet med Akabs Hus ganske efter mit Sind, skal dine Sønner sidde på IsraelsTrone indtil fjerde Led!"

And he said Yahweh to Jehu because that you have done well by doing the right in view my according to all that [was] in heart my you have done to [the] house of Ahab descendants of [the] fourth [generation] they will sit of you on [the] throne of Israel.

31 Men Jehu tog ikke Vare på at følge HERRENs, Israels Guds, Lov af bele sit Hjerte; han veg ikke fra de Synder, Jeroboam havde forledt Israel til.

And Jehu not he took care to walk in [the] law of Yahweh [the] God of Israel with all heart his not he turned aside from on [the] sins of Jeroboam which he caused to sin Israel.

32 På den Tid begyndte HERREN at rive Stykker fra Israel, og Hazael slog Israel i alle dets Grænseegne,

In the days those he began Yahweh to cut off in Israel and he struck down them Hazael in all [the] territory of Israel.

33 Øst for Jordan, hele Gilead, Gaditernes, Rubeniternes og Manassiternes Land fra Aroer ved Amonflodens Bred, både Gilead og Basan.

From the Jordan [the] rising of the sun all [the] land of Gilead the Gadite[s] and the Reubenite[s] and the Manassite[s] from Aroer which [is] at [the] wadi of Arnon and Gilead and Bashan.

34 Hvad der ellers er at fortælle om Jehu, alt, hvad han gjorde, og alle hans Heltegerninger, står jo optegnet i Israels Kongers Krønike.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jehu and all that he did and all might his ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.

35 Så lagde Jehu sig til Hvile hos sine Fædre, og man jordede ham i Samaria; og hans Søn Joahaz blev Konge i hans Sted.

And he lay down Jehu with ancestors his and people buried him in Samaria and he became king Jehoahaz son his in place of him.

36 Den Tid, Jehu herskede over Israel, udgjorde otte og tyve År.

And the days which he reigned Jehu over Israel [were] twenty and eight year[s] in Samaria.
