1 De førte så Guds Pagts Ark ind og stillede den midt i det Telt, David havde rejst den; og de ofrede Brændofre og Takofre for Guds Åsyn.
So they brought in the Arke of God, and set it in the middes of the Tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it, and they offred burnt offrings and peace offrings before God.
2 Og da David var færdig med Brændofrene og Takofrene, velsignede han Folket i HERRENs Navn
And when Dauid had made an ende of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, hee blessed the people in the Name of the Lord.
3 og uddelte til hver enkelt Israelit, både Mand og Kvinde, en Brødskive, et Stykke Kød og en Rosinkage.
And he dealt to euery one of Israel both man and woman, to euery one a cake of breade, and a piece of flesh, and a bottel of wine.
4 Foran HERRENs Ark stillede han nogle af Leviterne til at gøre Tjeneste og til at takke, love og prise HERREN, Israels Gud;
And he appointed certaine of the Leuites to minister before the Arke of the Lord, and to rehearse and to thanke and prayse the Lord God of Israel:
5 Asaf var Leder, og næst efter ham kom Zekarja, så Uzziel, Sjemiramot, Jehiel, Mattitja, Eliab, Benaja, Obed-Edom og Je'iel med Harper og Citre, medens Asaf lod Cymblerne klinge,
Asaph the chiefe, and next to him Zechariah, Ieiel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed Edom, euen Ieiel with instruments, violes and harpes, and Asaph to make a sound with cymbales,
6 og Præsterne Benaja og Jahaziel stadig blæste i Trompeterne foran Guds Pagts Ark.
And Benaiah and Iahaziel Priestes, with trumpets continually before the Arke of the couenant of God.
7 Den Dag, ved den Lejlighed, overdrog David for første Gang Asaf og hans Brødre at lovsynge HERREN.
Then at that time Dauid did appoint at the beginning to giue thankes to the Lord by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
8 Pris HERREN, påkald hans Navn, gør hans Gerninger kendte blandt Folkeslag!
Praise the Lord and call vpon his Name: declare his workes among the people.
9 Syng og spil til hans Pris, tal om alle hans Undere,
Sing vnto him, sing praise vnto him, and talke of all his wonderfull workes.
10 ros jer af hans hellige Navn, eders Hjerte glæde sig, I, som søger HERREN,
Reioyce in his holy Name: let the hearts of them that seeke the Lord reioyce.
11 spørg efter HERREN og hans Magt, søg bestandig hans Åsyn;
Seeke the Lord and his strength: seeke his face continually.
12 kom i Hu de Undere, han øved, hans Tegn og hans Munds Domme,
Remember his marueilous workes that he hath done, his wonders, and the iudgements of his mouth,
13 I, hans Tjener, Israels Sæd. hans udvalgte, Jakobs Sønner!
O seede of Israel his seruant, O the children of Iaakob his chosen.
14 Han, HERREN, er vor Gud, hans Domme når ud over Jorden;
He is the Lord our God: his iudgements are throughout all the earth.
15 han ihukommer for evigt sin Pagt, i tusind Slægter sit Tilsagn,
Remember his couenant for euer, and the worde, which hee commanded to a thousand generations:
16 Pagten. han slutted med Abraham, Eden, han tilsvor Isak:
Which he made with Abraham, and his othe to Izhak:
17 han holdt dem i Hævd som Ret for Jakob, en evig Pagt for Israel,
And hath confirmed it to Iaakob for a Law, and to Israel for an euerlasting couenant,
18 idet han sagde: "Dig giver jeg Kana'ans Land som eders Arvelod."
Saying, To thee will I giue the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.
19 Da de kun var en liden Hob, kun få og fremmede der,
When ye were fewe in number, yea, a very fewe, and strangers therein,
20 og vandred fra Folk til Folk, fra et Rige til et andet,
And walked about from nation to nation, and from one kingdome to another people,
21 tillod han ingen at volde dem Men, men tugted for deres Skyld Konger:
He suffered no man to do them wrong, but rebuked Kings for their sakes, saying,
22 "Rør ikke mine Salvede, gør ikke mine Profeter ondt!"
Touch not mine anoynted, and doe my Prophets no harme.
23 Syng for HERREN, al Jorden, fortæl om hans Frelse Dag efter dag;
Sing vnto the Lord all the earth: declare his saluation from day to day.
24 kundgør hans Ære blandt Folkene, hans Undere blandt alle Folkeslag!
Declare his glory among the nations, and his wonderful workes among all people.
25 Thi stor og højlovet er HERREN, forfærdelig over alle Guder;
For the Lord is great and much to be praised, and hee is to bee feared aboue all gods.
26 thi alle Folkeslagenes Guder er Afguder, HERREN er Himlens Skaber.
For all the gods of the people are idoles, but the Lord made the heauens.
27 For hans Åsyn er Højhed og Hæder, Pris og Fryd i hans Helligdom.
Prayse and glory are before him: power and beautie are in his place.
28 Giv HERREN, I Folkeslags Slægter, giv HERREN Ære og Pris,
Giue vnto the Lord, ye families of the people: giue vnto the Lord glory and power.
29 giv HERREN hans Navns Ære, bring Gaver og kom for hans Åsyn, tilbed HERREN i helligt Skrud,
Giue vnto the Lord ye glory of his Name: bring an offring and come before him, and worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuarie.
30 bæv for hans Åsyn, al Jorden! Han grundfæsted Jorden, den rokkes ikke.
Tremble ye before him, al the earth: surely the world shalbe stable and not moue.
31 Himlen glæde sig Jorden juble, det lyde blandt Folkene: "HERREN har vist, han er Konge!"
Let the heauens reioyce, and let the earth be glad, and let them say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
32 Havet med dets Fylde bruse, Marken juble og alt, hvad den bærer.
Let the sea roare, and all that therein is: Let the field be ioyfull and all that is in it.
33 Da fryder sig Skovens Træer for HERRENs Åsyn, thi han kommer, han kommer at dømme Jorden.
Let the trees of the wood then reioyce at the presence of the Lord: for he commeth to iudge the earth.
34 Lov HERREN, thi han er god, og hans Miskundhed varer evindelig!
Prayse the Lord, for hee is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
35 Og sig: "Frels os, vor Frelses Gud, saml os og fri os fra Folkene, at vi må love dit hellige Navn; med Stolthed synge din Pris!"
And say ye, Saue vs, O God, our saluation, and gather vs, and deliuer vs from the heathen, that we may prayse thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.
36 Lovet være HERREN, Israels Gud, fra Evighed og til Evighed! Da sagde hele Folket: "Amen!" og: "Lov HERREN!"
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer: and let all people say, So be it, and praise the Lord.
37 Så lod han Asaf og hans Brødre blive der foran HERRENs Pagts Ark for altid at gøre Tjeneste foran Arken efter hver Dags Behov;
Then he left there before the Arke of the Lordes couenant Asaph and his brethren to minister continually before the Arke, that which was to be done euery day:
38 og Obed-Edom, Jedituns Søn, og Hosa med deres Brødre, i alt otte og tresindstyve, lod han blive som Dørvogtere.
And Obed Edom and his brethren, three score and eight: and Obed Edom the sonne of Ieduthun, and Hosah were porters.
39 Men Præsten Zadok og hans Brødre Præsterne lod han blive foran HERRENs Bolig på Oerhøjen i Gibeon
And Zadok the Priest and his brethren the Priestes were before the Tabernacle of ye Lord, in the hie place that was at Gibeon,
40 for daglig, både Aften og Morgen, at ofre HERREN Brændofre på Brændofferalteret ganske som det er foreskrevet i den Lov, HERREN havde pålagt Israel;
To offer burnt offrings vnto the Lord, vpon the burnt offring altar continually, in the morning and in the euening, euen according vnto all that is written in the law of the Lord, which hee commanded Israel.
41 og sammen med dem Heman og Jedutun og de øvrige før nævnte udvalgte Mænd til at love HERREN med Ordene "thi hans Miskundhed varer evindelig!"
And with them were Heman, and Ieduthun, and the rest that were chosen (which were appointed by names) to praise the Lord, because his mercie endureth for euer.
42 Og de havde hos sig Trompeter og Cymbler til dem, der spillede, og instrumenter til Guds Sange; men Jedutuns Sønner var Dørvogtere.
Euen with them were Heman and Ioduthun, to make a sound with the cornets and with the cymbales, with excellent instruments of musicke: and the sonnes of Ieduthun were at the gate.
43 Derpå gik alt Folket hver til sit, og David vendte hjem for at velsigne sit Hus.
And all the people departed, euerie man to his house: and Dauid returned to blesse his house.
