Salme 98

1 En Salme. Syng HERREN en ny Sang, thi vidunderlige Ting har han gjort; Sejren vandt ham hans højre, hans hellige Arm.

A Psalm. Sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath wrought salvation for him.

2 Sin Frelse har HERREN gjort kendt, aabenbaret sin Retfærd for Folkenes Øjne;

The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the nations.

3 han kom sin Naade mod Jakob i Hu, sin Trofasthed mod Israels Hus. Den vide Jord har skuet vor Guds Frelse.

He hath remembered his mercy and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Raab af Fryd for HERREN, al Jorden, bryd ud i Jubel og Lovsang;

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: break forth and sing for joy, yea, sing praises.

5 lovsyng HERREN til Citer, lad Lovsang tone til Citer,

Sing praises unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp and the voice of melody:

6 raab af Fryd for Kongen, HERREN, til Trompeter og Hornets Klang!

With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the King, the LORD.

7 Havet med dets Fylde skal bruse, Jorderig og de, som bor der,

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein;

8 Strømmene klappe i Hænder, Bjergene juble til Hobe

Let the floods clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together;

9 for HERRENS Aasyn, thi han kommer, han kommer at dømme Jorden; han dømmer Jorden med Retfærd og Folkeslag med Ret!

Before the LORD, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.
