< Salme 85 >
1 Til Sangmesteren. Af Koras Sønner. En Salme.
For the chief musician. A psalm of the sons of Korah. Yahweh, you have showed favor to your land; you have restored the well-being of Jacob.
2 Du var naadig, HERRE, imod dit Land, du vendte Jakobs Skæbne,
You have forgiven the sin of your people; you have covered all their sin. (Selah)
(Sela)
You have withdrawn all your wrath; you have turned back from your hot anger.
Restore us, God of our salvation, and let go of your displeasure with us.
Will you be angry with us forever? Will you remain angry throughout future generations?
Will you not revive us again? Then your people will rejoice in you.
Show us your covenant faithfulness, Yahweh, grant us your salvation.
8 Lad os skue din Miskundhed, HERRE, din Frelse give du os!
I will listen to what Yahweh God says, for he will make peace with his people, his faithful followers. Yet they must not turn again to foolish ways.
9 Jeg vil høre, hvad Gud HERREN taler! Visselig taler han Fred til sit Folk og til sine fromme og til dem, der vender deres Hjerte til ham;
Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him; then glory will remain in our land.
10 ja, nær er hans Frelse for dem, som frygter ham, snart skal Herlighed bo i vort Land;
Covenant faithfulness and trustworthiness have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
11 Miskundhed og Sandhed mødes, Retfærd og Fred skal kysse hinanden;
Trustworthiness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky.
Yes, Yahweh will give his good blessings, and our land will yield its crops.
13 Derhos giver HERREN Lykke, sin Afgrøde giver vort Land; Retfærd vandrer foran ham og følger ogsaa hans Fjed.
Righteousness will go before him and make a way for his footsteps.
