Salme 149

1 Halleluja! Syng HERREN en ny Sang, hans Pris i de frommes Forsamling!

Praise ye Yah, Sing to Yahweh a song that is new, his praise in the convocation of the men of lovingkindness.

2 Israel glæde sig over sin Skaber, over deres Konge fryde sig Zions Børn,

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him, Let the sons of Zion exult in their king;

3 de skal prise hans Navn under Dans, lovsynge ham med Pauke og Citer;

Let them praise his Name in the dance, with timbrel and lyre, Let them make music to him.

4 thi HERREN har Behag i sit Folk, han smykker de ydmyge med Frelse.

For Yahweh is taking pleasure in his people, He will beautify humbled ones with victory.

5 De fromme skal juble med Ære, synge paa deres Lejer med Fryd,

Let the men of lovingkindness exult as they glory, Let them shout aloud upon their beds:

6 med Lovsang til Gud i Mund og tveægget Sværd i Haand

The high songs of GOD be in their throat, and a two-edged sword in their hand:

7 for at tage Hævn over Folkene og revse Folkeslagene,

To execute an avenging among the nations, rebukes among the peoples:

8 for at binde deres Konger med Lænker, deres ædle med Kæder af Jern

To bind their kings with fetters, and their honoured ones with iron bands:

9 og fuldbyrde paa dem den alt skrevne Dom til Ære for alle hans fromme! Halleluja!

To execute upon them the sentence written, An honour, shall it be to all his men of lovingkindness. Praise ye Yah!
