1 Til Sangmesteren. En Salme af David.
To the choirmaster a psalm of David. Rescue me O Yahweh from a man evil from a man of violence you will preserve me.
2 Red mig, HERRE, fra onde Mennesker, vær mig et Værn mod Voldsmænd,
[those] who They plan evil things in [the] heart every day they stir up trouble wars.
3 der pønser paa ondt i Hjertet og daglig ægger til Strid.
They sharpen tongue their like a snake [the] venom of a viper [is] under lips their (Selah)
4 De hvæsser Tungen som Slanger, har Øglegift under deres Læber. (Sela)
Keep me O Yahweh - from [the] hands of [the] wicked from a man of violence you will preserve me [those] who they have planned to trip up footsteps my.
5 Vogt mig, HERRE, for gudløses Haand, vær mig et Værn mod Voldsmænd, som pønser paa at bringe mig til Fald.
They have hidden proud [people] - a trap for me and ropes they have spread a net to [the] side of a track snares they have set for me (Selah)
6 Hovmodige lægger Snarer og Strikker for mig, breder et Net for min Fod, lægger Fælder for mig ved Vejen. (Sela)
I say to Yahweh [are] God my you give ear to! O Yahweh [the] sound of supplications my.
7 Jeg siger til HERREN: Du er min Gud, HERRE, lyt til min tryglende Røst!
O Yahweh O Lord [the] strength of salvation my you cover head my in a day of weaponry.
8 HERRE, Herre, min Frelses Styrke, du skærmer mit Hoved paa Stridens Dag.
May not you grant O Yahweh [the] desires of [the] wicked plot his may not you promote they will arise (Selah)
9 Opfyld ej, HERRE, den gudløses Ønsker, lad ikke hans Raad have Fremgang!

10 Lad dem ikke løfte Hovedet mod mig, lad deres Trusler ramme dem selv!

11 Det regne paa dem med gloende Kul, styrt dem i Dybet, ej staa de op!

12 Lad ikke Bagtaleren holde sig i Landet, ondt ramme Voldsmanden Slag i Slag!
