< Salme 129 >
A song of ascents. “Often since my youth they have attacked me,” let Israel say.
2 De trængte mig haardt fra min Ungdom — saa sige Israel — de trængte mig haardt fra min Ungdom, men kued mig ikke.
“Often since my youth they have attacked me, yet they have not defeated me.
3 Plovmænd pløjed min Ryg, trak lange Furer;
The plowers plowed on my back; they made their furrows long.
4 retfærdig er HERREN, han overskar de gudløses Reb.
Yahweh is righteous; he has cut the ropes of the wicked.”
5 Alle, som hader Zion, skal vige med Skam,
May they all be put to shame and turned back, those who hate Zion.
6 blive som Græs paa Tage, der visner, førend det skyder Straa,
May they be like the grass on the housetops that withers before it grows up,
7 og ikke fylder Høstkarlens Haand og Opbinderens Favn;
that cannot fill the reaper's hand or the chest of the one who binds bundles of grain together.
8 Folk, som gaar forbi, siger ikke: »HERRENS Velsignelse over eder! Vi velsigner eder i HERRENS Navn!«
May those who pass by not say, “May the blessing of Yahweh be on you; we bless you in the name of Yahweh.”
