1 Halleluja! Pris, I HERRENS Tjenere, pris HERRENS Navn!

Praise ye Jehovah. Praise, O ye servants of Jehovah. Praise the name of Jehovah.

2 HERRENS Navn være lovet fra nu og til evig Tid;

Blessed be the name of Jehovah from this time forth and for evermore.

3 fra Sol i Opgang til Sol i Bjærge være HERRENS Navn lovpriset!

From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same Jehovah's name is to be praised.

4 Over alle Folk er HERREN ophøjet, hans Herlighed højt over Himlene.

Jehovah is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5 Hvo er som HERREN vor Gud, som rejste sin Trone i det høje

Who is like Jehovah our God who has his seat on high,

6 og skuer ned i det dybe — i Himlene og paa Jorden —

and yet looks upon the low things in heaven and in the earth.

7 som rejser den ringe af Støvet, løfter den fattige op af Skarnet

He raises up a poor man out of the dust, and lifts up a needy man from the dunghill,

8 og sætter ham mellem Fyrster, imellem sit Folks Fyrster,

that he may set him with rulers, even with the rulers of his people.

9 han, som lader barnløs Hustru sidde som lykkelig Barnemoder!

He makes the barren woman to keep house, a joyful mother of sons. Praise ye Jehovah.
