< Salme 105 >
1 Pris HERREN, paakald hans Navn, gør hans Gerninger kendte blandt Folkeslag!
Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his Name, Make known, among the peoples, his doings;
2 Syng og spil til hans Pris, tal om alle hans Undere;
Sing ye to him, Make ye music to him, Speak ye of all his wonders.
3 ros jer af hans hellige Navn, eders Hjerte glæde sig, I, som søger HERREN;
Make your boast in his holy Name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.
4 spørg efter HERREN og hans magt, søg bestandig hans Aasyn;
Search out Yahweh and his strength, Seek diligently his face at all times.
Remember his wonders which he hath done, His portents, and the just decisions of his mouth.
6 I, hans Tjener Abrahams Sæd, hans udvalgte, Jakobs Sønner!
O ye Seed of Abraham—his servants, Sons of Jacob—his chosen ones:
7 Han, HERREN, er vor Gud, hans Domme naar ud over Jorden;
Yahweh himself, is our God, Through all the land, are his just decision.
8 han ihukommer for evigt sin Pagt, i tusind Slægter sit Tilsagn,
He hath remembered, unto times age-abiding, his covenant, The word he commanded, to a thousand generations;
9 Pagten, han slutted med Abraham, Eden, han tilsvor Isak;
Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;
10 han holdt den i Hævd som Ret for Jakob, en evig Pagt for Israel,
And confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel, as a covenant age-abiding;
Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, As your inherited portion;
While as yet they were men easily counted, —A very few, and sojourners therein;
And they wandered from nation to nation, From a kingdom, to another people.
14 tillod han ingen at volde dem Men, men tugted for deres Skyld Konger:
He suffered no son of earth to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—[even] kings!
15 »Rør ikke mine Salvede, gør ikke mine Profeter ondt!«
Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.
16 Hungersnød kaldte han frem over Landet, hver Brødets Støttestav brød han;
Then called he a famine over the land, All the staff of bread, he brake;
17 han sendte forud for dem en Mand, Josef solgtes som Træl;
He sent before them a man, For a slave, was he sold—[even] Joseph;
They forced, into a fetter, his foot, Into the iron, entered his soul;
Until the time when his word came to pass, Speech of Yahweh, proved him;
20 Paa Kongens Bud blev han fri, Folkenes Hersker lod ham løs;
The king sent, and set him free, One having dominion over peoples, yet loosed he his bonds;
21 han tog ham til Herre for sit Hus, til Hersker over alt sit Gods;
He appointed him lord to his household, And one having dominion over all he possessed;
That he might bind his rulers as he pleased, And, his elders, he might embue with wisdom.
23 Og Israel kom til Ægypten, Jakob boede som Gæst i Kamiternes Land.
So Israel came into Egypt, And, Jacob, sojourned in the land of Ham;
24 Han lod sit Folk blive saare frugtbart og stærkere end dets Fjender;
And he made his people exceeding fruitful, —And caused them to become stronger than their adversaries.
He let them turn their heart—To hate his people, To deal treacherously with his servants;
26 Da sendte han Moses, sin Tjener, og Aron, sin udvalgte Mand;
He sent Moses his servant, Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 han gjorde sine Tegn i Ægypten og Undere i Kamiternes Land;
He set among them his threatening signs, And his wonders, in the land of Ham;
28 han sendte Mørke, saa blev det mørkt, men de ænsede ikke hans Ord;
He sent darkness, and made it dark, But they rebelled against his words;
29 han gjorde deres Vande til Blod og slog deres Fisk ihjel;
He turned their waters into blood, And so caused their fish to die;
30 af Frøer vrimlede Landet, selv i Kongens Sale var de;
Their land swarmed with frogs, In the chambers of their kings!
31 han talede, saa kom der Bremser og Myg i alt deres Land;
He spake, and there came in the gad-fly, Gnats, in all their bounds;
32 han sendte dem Hagl for Regn og luende Ild i Landet;
He made their showers—hail, A fire flaming throughout their land;
33 han slog baade Vinstok og Figen og splintrede Træerne i deres Land;
And he smote their vines, and their fig-trees, And brake in pieces the trees of their bounds;
He spake—then came the swarming locust, —The devouring locust, and that without number;
35 de aad alt Græs i Landet, de aad deres Jords Afgrøde;
And devoured all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 alt førstefødt i Landet slog han, Førstegrøden af al deres Kraft;
Then smote he every firstborn in their land, The beginning of all their strength;
37 han førte dem ud med Sølv og Guld, ikke een i hans Stammer snubled;
Thus brought he them forth, with silver and gold, Nor was there, throughout his tribes, one that faltered;
Egypt rejoiced when they went out, For the dread of them had fallen upon them.
39 Han bredte en Sky som Skjul og Ild til at lyse i Natten;
He spread out a cloud as a covering, And fire, to give light by night,
40 de krævede, han bragte Vagtler, med Himmelbrød mættede han dem;
They asked, and he brought in the quail, —And, with the bread of the heavens, he satisfied them;
He opened the rock, and there gushed forth waters, They flowed along, through parched places, as a river;
42 Thi han kom sit hellige Ord i Hu til Abraham, sin Tjener;
For he remembered his holy word, With Abraham his servant.
43 han lod sit Folk drage ud med Fryd, sine udvalgte under Jubel;
Thus brought he forth his people with gladness, —With shouts of triumph, his chosen ones;
44 han gav dem Folkenes Lande, de fik Folkeslags Gods i Eje.
And gave them, the lands of the nations, And, of the toil of the peoples, took they possession:
45 Derfor skulde de holde hans Bud og efterkomme hans Love. Halleluja!
In order that they might observe his statutes, And, over his laws, might keep watch, Praise ye Yah.
