2 Hvo redeligt vandrer, frygter HERREN, men den, som gaar Krogveje, agter ham ringe.
[one who] walks In uprightness his [is one] fearing Yahweh and [the] [one who] is crooked of ways his [is] despising him.
3 I Daarens Mund er Ris til hans Ryg, for de vise staar Læberne Vagt.
[is] in [the] mouth of A fool a shoot of pride and [the] lips of wise [people] it preserves them.

When there not [are] cattle [the] feeding trough [is] clean and abundance of produce [is] by [the] strength of an ox.
5 Sanddru Vidne lyver ikke, det falske Vidne farer med Løgn.
A witness of faithfulness not he tells lies and he may breathe out lies a witness of falsehood.

He seeks a mocker wisdom and there [is] not and knowledge to a discerning [person] it is trifling.

[the] wisdom of A sensible [person] [is] to understand own way his and [the] foolishness of fools [is] deceit.
9 Med Daarer driver Skyldofret Spot, men Velvilje raader iblandt retsindige.
Fools he mocks guilt and [is] between upright [people] favor.
10 Hjertet kender sin egen Kvide, fremmede blander sig ej i dets Glæde.
A heart [is] knowing [the] bitterness of own self its and in joy its not he shares a stranger.
11 Gudløses Hus lægges øde, retsindiges Telt staar i Blomst.
[the] house of Wicked [people] it will be destroyed and [the] tent of upright [people] it will flourish.
12 Mangen Vej synes Manden ret, og saa er dens Ende dog Dødens Veje.
There [is] a way right before a person and end its [is the] ways of death.
13 Selv under Latter kan Hjertet lide, og Glædens Ende er Kummer.
Also in laughter it is in pain a heart and end its joy [may be] grief.

A wise [person] [is] fearing and [is] turning aside from evil and a fool [is] arrogant and [is] confident.
17 Den hidsige bærer sig taabeligt ad, man hader rænkefuld Mand.
[a person] short of Anger he does foolishness and a person of evil devices he is hated.
18 De tankeløse giver Daarskab i Arv, de kloge efterlader sig Kundskab.
They inherit naive people foolishness and sensible [people] they surround knowledge.
19 Onde maa bukke for gode, gudløse staa ved retfærdiges Døre.
They bow evil [people] before good [people] and wicked [people] at [the] gates of [the] righteous.
20 Fattigmand hades endog af sin Ven, men Rigmands Venner er mange.
Also by neighbor his he is hated a poor [person] and [those who] love [the] rich [are] many.
21 Den, der foragter sin Næste, synder, lykkelig den, der har Medynk med arme.
[one who] despises Neighbor his [is] sinning and [one who] shows favor to (humble [people] *Q(K)*) how blessed [is] he.
22 De, som virker ondt, farer visselig vild; de, som virker godt, finder Naade og Trofasthed.

26 Den stærkes Tillid er HERRENS Frygt, hans Sønner skal have en Tilflugt.
[is] in [the] fear of Yahweh confidence of strength and to children his it will belong a refuge.
27 HERRENS Frygt er en Livsens Kilde, derved undgaas Dødens Snarer.
[the] fear of Yahweh [is] a fountain of life to turn aside from [the] snares of death.
28 At Folket er stort, er Kongens Hæder, Brist paa Folk er Fyrstens Fald.
[is] in [the] multitude of A people [the] glory of a king and in not a people [the] ruin of a ruler.
29 Den sindige er rig paa Indsigt, den heftige driver det vidt i Daarskab.
A [person] long of anger great of understanding and [a person] short of spirit [is] exalting foolishness.
30 Sagtmodigt Hjerte er Liv for Legemet, Avind er Edder i Benene.
[is] [the] life of Bodies a heart of healing and [is] rottenness of bones jealousy.
31 At kue den ringe er Haan mod hans Skaber, han æres ved Medynk med fattige.
[one who] oppresses [the] poor He reproaches maker his and [is] honoring him [one who] shows favor to [the] needy.
32 Ved sin Ondskab styrtes den gudløse, ved lydefri Færd er retfærdige trygge.
By wickedness his he is pushed down a wicked [person] and [is] seeking refuge in death his a righteous [person].
33 Visdom bor i forstandiges Hjerte, i Taabers Indre kendes den ikke.
In [the] heart of a discerning [person] it rests wisdom and in [the] inward part[s] of fools it is made known.
34 Retfærdighed løfter et Folk, men Synd er Folkenes Skændsel.
Righteousness it exalts a nation and [is] a shame to a people sin.
35 En klog Tjener har Kongens Yndest, en vanartet rammer hans Vrede.
[the] favor of A king [belongs] to a servant [who] acts prudently and fury his it belongs [one who] acts shamefully.
