1 Den ottende Dag kaldte Moses Aron og hans Sønner og Israels Ældste til sig

And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called for Aaron, and for his sons, —and for the elders of Israel;

2 og sagde til Aron: »Tag dig en Kalv til Syndoffer og en Væder til Brændoffer, begge uden Lyde, og før dem frem for HERRENS Aasyn.

and said unto Aaron—Take for thyself a choice calf, as a sin-bearer, and a ram for an ascending-sacrifice, each without defect, —and bring them near before Yahweh;

3 Og tal saaledes til Israeliterne: Tag eder en Gedebuk til Syndoffer, en Kalv og et Lam, begge aargamle og uden Lyde, til Brændoffer

and unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak, saying, —Take ye a he-goat, as a sin-bearer, and a calf and a young sheep, each a year old, without defect for an ascending-sacrifice;

4 og en Okse og en Væder til Takoffer for at ofre dem for HERRENS Aasyn og desuden et Afgrødeoffer, rørt i Olie; thi i Dag vil HERREN vise sig for eder!«

and an ox and a ram for peace-offerings, to sacrifice before Yahweh, and a meal-offering overflowed with oil, —for, to-day, doth, Yahweh, appear unto you.

5 Da tog de, hvad Moses havde paalagt dem, og bragte det hen foran Aabenbaringsteltet; og hele Menigheden traadte frem og stillede sig for HERRENS Aasyn.

So they brought that which Moses commanded before the tent of meeting, —and all the assembly drew near, and stood before Yahweh.

6 Og Moses sagde: »Det er dette, HERREN har paalagt eder at gøre, for at HERRENS Herlighed kan vise sig for eder.«

And Moses said—This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded that ye shall do, —that the glory of Yahweh may appear unto you.

7 Saa sagde Moses til Aron: »Træd hen til Alteret og bring dit Syndoffer og dit Brændoffer for at skaffe dig og dit Hus Soning og bring saa Folkets Offergave for at skaffe det Soning, saaledes som HERREN har paabudt!«

and Moses said unto Aaron—Draw near unto the altar, and offer thy sin-bearer and thine ascending-sacrifice, and put a propitiatory-covering about thyself and about the people, —and offer the oblation of the people and put a propitiatory-covering about them, As Yahweh hath commanded.

8 Da traadte Aron hen til Alteret og slagtede sin Syndofferkalv;

So Aaron drew near unto the altar, —and slew the sin-bearing calf which was for himself;

9 og Arons Sønner bragte ham Blodet, og han dyppede sin Finger i Blodet og strøg det paa Alterets Horn; men Resten af Blodet hældte han ud ved Alterets Fod.

and the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him, and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put [thereof] upon the horns of the altar, —and the [remainder of the] blood, poured he out at the base of the altar;

10 Derpaa bragte han Syndofferets Fedt, Nyrer og Leverlap som Røgoffer paa Alteret, saaledes som HERREN havde paalagt Moses;

and with the fat and the kidneys and the caul a from the liver, of the sin-bearer, made he a perfume at the altar, —As Yahweh commanded Moses.

11 men Kødet og Huden opbrændte han uden for Lejren.

But, the flesh and the skin, consumed he with fire, outside the camp.

12 Derefter slagtede han Brændofferet, og Arons Sønner rakte ham Blodet, og han sprængte det rundt om paa Alteret.

Then slew he the ascending-sacrifice, —and the sons of Aaron presented unto him the blood, and he dashed it against the altar round about.

13 Saa rakte de ham Brændofferet, Stykke for Stykke, tillige med Hovedet, og han bragte det som Røgoffer paa Alteret.

And the ascending-sacrifice, presented they unto him piece by piece thereof also the head, —and he made a perfume upon the altar:

14 Men Indvoldene og Skinnebenene tvættede han med Vand og bragte det derpaa som Røgoffer oven paa Brændofferet paa Alteret.

and he bathed the inwards and the legs, —and made a perfume upon the ascending-sacrifice at the altar.

15 Derefter frembar han Folkets Offergave. Først tog han Folkets Syndofferbuk, slagtede den og ofrede den som Syndoffer paa samme Maade som den før nævnte;

Then brought he near the oblation of the people, —and took the sin-bearing goat which pertained to the people, and slew it and made therewith a sin-bearer, like the first.

16 saa frembar han Brændofferet og ofrede det paa den foreskrevne Maade;

Then brought he near the ascending-sacrifice, —and offered it, according to the regulation,

17 derefter frembar han Afgrødeofferet, tog en Haandfuld deraf og bragte det som Røgoffer paa Alteret foruden det daglige Morgenbrændoffer;

Then brought he near the meal-offering, and filled his hand therefrom, and made a perfume upon the altar, —in addition to the ascending-sacrifice of the morning.

18 saa slagtede han Oksen og Væderen som Takoffer fra Folket. Og Arons Sønner rakte ham Blodet, og han sprængte det rundt om paa Alteret.

Then slew he the ox, and the ram, as a peace-offering, which pertained unto the people, —and the sons of Aaron presented the blood unto him, and he dashed it against the altar, round about;

19 Men Fedtstykkerne af Oksen og Væderen, Fedthalen, Fedtet paa Indvoldene, Nyrerne og Leverlappen,

and the portions of fat from the ox, —and from the ram, the fat-tail, and the covering, and the kidneys, and the caul of the liver;

20 disse Fedtdele lagde de oven paa Bryststykkerne, og Fedtstykkerne bragte han som Røgoffer paa Alteret,

and they put the portions of fat upon the breasts, —and he made a perfume with the fat at the altar;

21 men med Bryststykkerne og højre Kølle udførte Aron Svingningen for HERRENS Aasyn, som Moses havde paabudt.

but the breasts and the right shoulder, did Aaron wave as a wave-offering, before Yahweh, —as Moses commanded,

22 Derefter løftede Aron sine Hænder over Folket og velsignede dem og steg saa ned efter at have bragt Syndofferet, Brændofferet og Takofferet.

Then Aaron lifted up his hands towards the people, and blessed them, —and he came down from offering the sin-bearer, and the ascending-sacrifice and the peace-offering.

23 Moses og Aron gik derpaa ind i Aabenbaringsteltet, og da de kom ud derfra, velsignede de Folket. Da viste HERRENS Herlighed sig for alt Folket;

And when Moses and Aaron had entered into the tent of meeting, —and had come forth, and blessed the people, then appeared the glory of Yahweh, unto all the people;

24 og Ild for ud fra HERRENS Aasyn og fortærede Brændofferet og Fedtstykkerne paa Alteret. Og alt Folket saa det, og de jublede og faldt ned paa deres Ansigt.

yea, there came forth fire from before Yahweh, and consumed upon the altar, the ascending-sacrifice and the portions of fat, —and all the people beheld and shouted, and fell down upon their faces.
