Josua 21

1 Derpaa traadte Overhovederne for Leviternes Fædrenehuse frem for Præsten Eleazar og Josua, Nuns Søn, og Overhovederne for de israelitiske Stammers Fædrenehuse

And they approached [the] leaders of [the] fathers of the Levites to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua [the] son of Nun and to [the] leaders of [the] fathers of the tribes of [the] people of Israel.

2 og talte saaledes til dem i Silo i Kana'ans Land: »HERREN bød ved Moses, at der skulde gives os nogle Byer at bo i med tilhørende Græsmarker til vort Kvæg.«

And [belonged] to [the] descendants of Kohath which remained from [the] clans of [the] tribe of Ephraim and from [the] tribe of Dan and from [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh by the lot cities ten.

6 Gersoniterne fik ved Lodkastningen efter deres Slægter tretten Byer af Issakars, Asers og Naftalis Stammer og Manasses halve Stamme i Basan.

And [belonged] to [the] descendants of Gershon from [the] clans of [the] tribe of Issachar and from [the] tribe of Asher and from [the] tribe of Naphtali and from [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh in Bashan by the lot cities thir-teen.

7 Merariterne fik efter deres Slægter tolv Byer af Rubens, Gads og Zebulons Stammer.

[and belonged] to [the] descendants of Merari to clans their from [the] tribe of Reuben and from [the] tribe of Gad and from [the] tribe of Zebulun cities two [plus] ten.

8 Og Israeliterne afgav ved Lodkastning følgende Byer med Græsmarker til Leviterne, saaledes som HERREN havde paabudt ved Moses.

And they gave [the] people of Israel to the Levites the cities these and pasture lands their just as he had commanded Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses by the lot.

9 Af Judæernes og Simeoniternes Stammer afgav de følgende ved Navn, nævnte Byer.

And they gave from [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Judah and from [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Simeon the cities these which he called them by name.

19 Præsternes, Arons Sønners, Byer udgjorde i alt tretten Byer med omliggende Græsmarker.

20 Kehatiternes Slægter af Leviterne, de øvrige Kehatiter, fik de Byer af Efraims Stamme, som tildeltes dem ved Lodkastning.

And to [the] clans of [the] descendants of Kohath the Levites who remained of [the] descendants of Kohath and it was [the] cities of lot their from [the] tribe of Ephraim.

All [the] cities ten and pasture lands their [belonged] to [the] clans of [the] descendants of Kohath which remained.

27 Blandt Leviternes Slægter fik fremdeles Gersoniterne af Manasses halve Stamme Golan i Basan, en af Tilflugtsbyerne for Manddrabere, med omliggende Græsmarker og Asjtarot med omliggende Græsmarker; tilsammen to Byer;

And from [the] tribe of Naphtali [the] city of - refuge of the killer Kedesh in Galilee and pasture lands its and Hammoth Dor and pasture lands its and Kartan and pasture lands its cities three.

35 Rimmona med omliggende Græsmarker og Nahalal med omliggende Græsmarker; tilsammen fire Byer;

Dimnah and pasture lands its Nahalal and pasture lands its cities four.

36 og hinsides Jordan over for Jeriko af Rubens Stamme Bezer i Ørkenen paa Højsletten, en af Tilflugtsbyerne for Manddrabere, med omliggende Græsmarker, Jaza med omliggende Græsmarker.

38 og af Gads Stamme Ramot i Gilead, en af Tilflugtsbyerne for Manddrabere, med omliggende Græsmarker, Mahanajim med omliggende Græsmarker,

And from [the] tribe of Gad [the] city of refuge of the killer Ramoth in Gilead and pasture lands its and Mahanaim and pasture lands its.

39 Hesjbon med omliggende Græsmarker og Ja'zer med omliggende Græsmarker; tilsammen fire Byer;

Heshbon and pasture lands its Jazer and pasture lands its all [the] cities [were] four.
