Josua 13

1 Da Josua var blevet gammel og til Aars, sagde HERREN til ham: »Du er blevet gammel og til Aars, og der er endnu saare meget tilbage af Landet at indtage.

Now, Joshua, was old, advanced in days, —so then Yahweh said unto him—Thou, art old, advanced in days, and, much the larger part of the land, remaineth to be possessed.

2 Dette er det Land, som er tilbage: Hele Filisternes Landomraade og alle Gesjuriterne,

This, is the land that remaineth, —all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshuri;

3 Landet fra Sjihor østen for Ægypten indtil Ekrons Landemærke i Nord — det regnes til Kana'anæerne — de fem Filisterfyrster i Gaza, Asdod, Askalon, Gat og Ekron, desuden Avviterne

from the Shihor which faceth Egypt, even as far as the boundary of Ekron, northward, to the Canaanites, is it counted, —five princes of Philistines, the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites, also the Avvim

4 mod Syd, hele Kana'anæerlandet fra Meara, som tilhører Zidonierne, indtil Afek og til Amoriternes Landemærke,

on the south: all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongeth to the Zidonians, as far as Aphek, —as far as the boundary of the Amorites;

5 og det Land, som mod Øst grænser til Libanon fra Ba'al-Gad ved Hermonbjergets Fod til Egnen hen imod Hamat.

and the land of the Gebalites, and all the Lebanon, to the rising of the sun, from Baal-gad, under Mount Hermon, —as far as the entering in of Hamath:

6 Alle Indbyggerne i Bjerglandet fra Libanon til Misrefot Majim, alle Zidonierne, vil jeg drive bort foran Israeliterne. Tildel kun Israel det som Ejendom, saaledes som jeg har paalagt dig.

all the inhabitants of the hill country, from the Lebanon as far as Misrephoth-maim—all the Zidonians, I myself, will dispossess them from before the sons of Israel, —nevertheless, assign thou it by lot unto Israel, for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

7 Udskift derfor dette Land som Ejendom til de halvtiende Stammer.« Manasses halve Stamme

Now, therefore, apportion this land as an inheritance, unto the nine tribes, —and the half tribe of Manasseh.

8 saavel som Rubeniterne og Gaditerne havde nemlig faaet deres Arvelod, som Moses gav dem hinsides Jordan, paa Østsiden, saaledes som HERRENS Tjener Moses gav dem,

With them, the, Reubenites and the Gadites, received their inheritance, —which Moses gave them beyond the Jordan, eastward, as Moses the servant of Yahweh gave unto them:

9 fra Aroer ved Arnonflodens Bred og Byen midt nede i Dalen, hele Højsletten fra Medeba til Dibon,

from Aroer, which is on the edge of the ravine of Arnon, and the city, which is in the midst of the ravine, and all the table-land of Medeba, as far as Dibon;

10 alle de Byer, som havde tilhørt Amoriterkongen Sihon, der herskede i Hesjbon, indtil Ammoniternes Landemærke,

and all the cities of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, —as far as the boundary of the sons of Ammon;

11 fremdeles Gilead og Gesjuriternes og Ma'akatiternes Landemærke, hele Hermonbjerget og hele Basan indtil Salka,

and Gilead, and the boundary of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan, as far as Salecah;

12 hele det Rige, der havde tilhørt Og af Basan, som herskede i Asjtarot og Edre'i, den sidste, der var tilbage af Refaiterne; Moses havde overvundet dem alle og drevet dem bort.

all the kingdom of Og, in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, —he, being left of the remnant of the giants; and Moses smote them and dispossessed them;

13 Men Israeliterne drev ikke Gesjuriterne og Ma'akatiterne bort, saa at Gesjur og Ma'akat bor iblandt Israel den Dag i Dag.

the sons of Israel, however, did not dispossess, the Geshurites or the Maacathites, —but Geshur and Maacath have remained in the midst of Israel until this day.

14 Kun Levis Stamme gav han ingen Arvelod; HERREN, Israels Gud, er hans Arvelod, saaledes som han tilsagde ham.

Howbeit, unto the tribe of Levi, gave he no inheritance, —the altar-flames of Yahweh God of Israel, are his inheritance, as he spake unto him.

15 Moses gav Rubeniternes Stamme Land, Slægt for Slægt,

Thus then Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the tribe of the sons of Reuben by their families;

16 og de fik deres Omraade fra Aroer ved Arnonflodens Bred og Byen midt nede i Dalen, hele Højsletten indtil

and their boundary was from Aroer, that is on the edge of the ravine of Arnon and the city which is in the midst of the ravine and all the table-land by Medeba;

17 Hesjbon og alle de Byer, som ligger paa Højsletten, Dibon, Bamot-Ba'al, Bet-Ba'al-Meon,

Heshbon and all her cities which are on the table-land, —Dibon and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon;

18 Jaza, Kedemot, Mefa'at,

and Jahaz and Kedemoth and Maphaath;

19 Kirjatajim, Sibma, Zeret-Sjahar paa Dalbjerget,

and Kiriathaim and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar on the mount of the vale;

20 Bet-Peor ved Pisgas Skrænter. Bet-Jesjimot

and Beth-peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth;

21 og alle de andre Byer paa Højsletten og hele det Rige, der havde tilhørt Amoriterkongen Sihon, som herskede i Hesjbon, hvem Moses havde overvundet tillige med Midjans Fyrster Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur og Reba, der var Sihons Lydkonger og boede i Landet;

and all the cities of the table-land, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, —whom Moses smote—with the princes of Midian, Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, dukes of Sihon dwelling in the land;

22 ogsaa Sandsigeren Bileam, Beors Søn, havde Israeliterne dræbt med Sværdet sammen med de andre af dem, der blev slaaet ihjel.

Balaam also son of Beor, the diviner, did the sons of Israel slay with the sword among their slain.

23 Rubeniternes Grænse blev Jordan; den var Grænseskel. Det var Rubeniternes Arvelod efter deres Slægter, de nævnte Byer med Landsbyer.

And so the boundary of the sons of Reuben was the Jordan and district. This, is the inheritance of the sons of Reuben by their families, the cities and the villages thereof.

24 Og Moses gav Gads Stamme, Gaditerne, Land, Slægt for Slægt,

And Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the tribe of Gad, unto the sons of Gad by their families;

25 og de fik følgende Landomraade: Ja'zer og alle Byerne i Gilead og Halvdelen af Ammoniternes Land indtil Aroer, som ligger østen for Rabba,

and their boundary was—Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the sons of Ammon, —as far as Aroer, which faceth Rabbah;

26 og Landet fra Hesjbon til Ramat-Mizpe og Betonim, og fra Mahanajim til Lodebars Landemærke;

and from Heshbon as far as Ramath-mizpeh, and Botonim, —and from Mahanaim as far as the boundary of Debir;

27 og i Lavningen Bet-Haram, Bet-Nimra, Sukkot og Zafon, Resten af Kong Sihon af Hesjbons Rige, med Jordan til Grænse, indtil Enden af Kinnerets Sø, hinsides Jordan, paa Østsiden.

and in the valley—Beth-haram and Beth-nimrah and Succoth and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and district, —as far as the end of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan eastward.

28 Det var Gaditernes Arvelod efter deres Slægter: de nævnte Byer med Landsbyer.

This, is the inheritance of the sons of Gad, by their families, —the cities and the villages thereof.

29 Og Moses gav Manasses halve Stamme Land, Slægt for Slægt;

And Moses gave [an inheritance] unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —so it belonged to the half tribe of the sons of Manasseh by their families;

30 og deres Landomraade strakte sig fra Mahanajim over hele Basan, hele Kong Og af Basans Rige og alle Ja'irs Teltbyer, som ligger i Basan, tresindstyve Byer,

and their boundary was—from Mahanaim all Bashan all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan and all the Encampments of Jair which are in Bashan three-score cities;

31 Halvdelen af Gilead og Asjtarot og Edre'i, Ogs Kongsbyer i Basan; det gav han Manasses Søn Makirs Sønner, Halvdelen af Makirs Sønner, Slægt for Slægt.

and, half Gilead and Ashtaroth and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, pertained to the sons of Machir son of Manasseh, to half the sons of Machir by their families.

32 Det er alt, hvad Moses udskiftede paa Moabs Sletter hinsides Jordan over for Jeriko, paa Østsiden.

These, are [the portions] which Moses gave for inheritance, in the waste plains of Moab, —over the Jordan by Jericho eastward.

33 Men Levis Stamme gav Moses ingen Arvelod; HERREN, Israels Gud, er deres Arvelod, saaledes som han tilsagde dem.

But, unto the tribe of Levi, Moses gave no inheritance, —Yahweh God of Israel, he, was their inheritance, as he spake unto them.
