1 Følgende to Konger i Landet blev overvundet af Israeliterne og deres Land taget i Besiddelse af dem, Landet østen for Jordan fra Arnonfloden til Hermonbjerget og hele Arabalavningens østre Del:

And these are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel smote, and whose land they took possession of on the other side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Chermon, and all the plain on the east:

2 Amoriterkongen Sihon, som boede i Hesjbon og herskede fra Aroer ved Arnonflodens Bred og fra Midten af Floddalen over Halvdelen af Gilead indtil Jabbokfloden, der er Ammoniternes Grænse,

Sichon the king of the Emorites, who dwelt in Cheshbon, and ruled from 'Aro'er, which is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and over the land in the middle of the brook, and from half Gil'ad, even unto the brook Yabbok, the boundary of the children of 'Ammon;

And over the plain up to the sea of Kinneroth on the east, and up to the sea of the plain, the salt sea on the east, on the way to Beth-hayeshimoth; and at the south, under the declivities of Pisgah;

And the territory of 'Og the king of Bashan, who was of the remnant of the Rephaim, that dwelt at 'Ashtaroth and at Edre'i,

And reigned over mount Chermon, and over Salchah, and over all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites, and half Gil'ad, [to] the boundary of Sichon the king of Cheshbon.

6 HERRENS Tjener Moses og Israeliterne havde overvundet dem, og HERRENS Tjener Moses havde givet Rubeniterne, Gaditerne og Manasses halve Stamme Landet i Eje.

These did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

7 Følgende Konger i Landet blev overvundet af Josua og Israeliterne hinsides Jordan, paa Vestsiden, fra Ba'al-Gad i Dalen ved Libanon til det nøgne Bjergdrag, som højner sig mod Se'ir, og deres Land givet Israels Stammer i Eje af Josua efter deres Afdelinger,

And these are the kings of the country whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side of the Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon as far as the bald mountain, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their divisions;

8 i Bjerglandet, i Lavlandet, i Arabalavningen, paa Skraaningerne, i Ørkenen og i Sydlandet, Hetiterne, Amoriterne, Kana'anæerne, Perizziterne, Hivviterne og Jebusiterne:

In the mountains, and in the lowlands, and in the plain, and in the declivities, and in the wilderness, and in the south country: the Hittites, the Emorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

9 Kongen i Jeriko een; Kongen i Aj ved Betel een;

The king of Jericho, one; the king of 'Ai, which was beside Bethel one;

10 Kongen i Jerusalem een; Kongen i Hebron een;

The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

11 Kongen i Jarmut een; Kongen i Lakisj een;

The king of Yarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

12 Kongen i Eglon een; Kongen i Gezer een;

The king of 'Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

13 Kongen i Debir een; Kongen i Geder een;

The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;

14 Kongen i Horma een; Kongen i Arad een;

The king of Chormah, one; the king of 'Arad, one;
