1 Dette er Esaus, det er Edoms, Slægtebog.
And these [are] [the] accounts of Esau that [is] Edom.
2 Esau tog sine Hustruer af Kana'ans Døtre: Ada, en Datter af Hetiten Elon, Oholibama, en Datter af Ana, Hivviten Zib'ons Søn,
Esau he took wives his from [the] daughters of Canaan Adah [the] daughter of Elon the Hittite and Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] daughter of Zibeon the Hivite.
3 og Ismaels Datter Basemat, Søster til Nebajot.
And Basemath [the] daughter of Ishmael [the] sister of Nebaioth.
4 Ada fødte Esau Elifaz, Basemat fødte Re'uel,
And she bore Adah to Esau Eliphaz and Basemath she bore Reuel.

And he took Esau wives his and sons his and daughters his and all [the] people of household his and livestock his and all animal[s] his and all possession[s] his which he had accumulated in [the] land of Canaan and he went to a land [away] from before Jacob brother his.

10 Følgende var Esaus Sønners Navne: Elifaz, en Søn af Esaus Hustru Ada, og Re'uel, en Søn af Esaus Hustru Basemat.
These [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Esau Eliphaz [the] son of Adah [the] wife of Esau Reuel [the] son of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
11 Elifaz's Sønner var Teman, Omar, Zefo, Gatam og Kenaz.
And they were [the] sons of Eliphaz Teman Omar Zepho and Gatam and Kenaz.
12 Timna, som var Esaus Søn Elifaz's Medhustru, fødte ham Amalek. Det var Esaus Hustru Adas Sønner.
And Timna - she was a concubine of Eliphaz [the] son of Esau and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek these [were] [the] sons of Adah [the] wife of Esau.

And these [were] [the] sons of Reuel Nahath and Zerah Shammah and Mizzah these they were [the] sons of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
14 Følgende var Sønner af Esaus Hustru Oholibama, Datter af Zib'ons Søn Ana; hun fødte for Esau: Je'usj, Jalam og Kora.
And these they were [the] sons of Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] daughter of Zibeon [the] wife of Esau and she bore to Esau (Jeush *Q(K)*) and Jalam and Korah.

These [were] [the] chiefs of [the] sons of Esau [the] sons of Eliphaz [the] firstborn of Esau chief Teman chief Omar chief Zepho chief Kenaz.
16 Kora, Gatam og Amalek. Det var de fra Elifaz stammende Høvdinger i Edoms Land; det var Adas Sønner.
Chief Korah chief Gatam chief Amalek these [were] [the] chiefs of Eliphaz in [the] land of Edom these [were] [the] sons of Adah.
17 Følgende var Esaus Søn Re'uels Sønner: Høvdingerne Nahat, Zera, Sjamma og Mizza. Det var de fra Re'uel stammende Høvdinger i Edoms Land; det var Esaus Hustru Basemats Sønner.
And these [were] [the] sons of Reuel [the] son of Esau chief Nahath chief Zerah chief Shammah chief Mizzah these [were] [the] chiefs of Reuel in [the] land of Edom these [were] [the] sons of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
18 Følgende var Esaus Hustru Oholibamas Sønner: Høvdingerne Je'usj, Jalam og Kora. Det var de Høvdinger, der stammede fra Oholibama, Esaus Hustru, Anas Datter.
And these [were] [the] sons of Oholibamah [the] wife of Esau chief Jeush chief Jalam chief Korah these [were] [the] chiefs of Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] wife of Esau.

These [were] [the] sons of Esau and these [were] chiefs their that [is] Edom.

These [were] [the] sons of Seir the Horite [the] inhabitants of the land Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah.

And Dishon and Ezer and Dishan these [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] [the] sons of Seir in [the] land of Edom.

And they were [the] sons of Lotan Hori and Hemam and [the] sister of Lotan [was] Timna.
23 Følgende var Sjobals Sønner: Alvan, Manahat, Ebal, Sjefo og Onam.
And these [were] [the] sons of Shobal Alvan and Manahath and Ebal Shepho and Onam.

These [were] [the] sons of Ezer Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.
28 Følgende var Risjons Sønner: Uz og Aran.
These [were] [the] sons of Dishan Uz and Aran.
29 Følgende var Horiternes Stammehøvdinger: Høvdingerne Lotan, Sjobal, Zib'on, Ana,
These [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] chief Lotan chief Shobal chief Zibeon chief Anah.
30 Disjon, Ezer og Risjon. Det var Horiternes Stammehøvdinger efter deres Stammer i Se'irs Land.
Chief Dishon chief Ezer chief Dishan these [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] to chiefs their in [the] land of Seir.

And he died Husham and he reigned in place of him Hadad [the] son of Bedad who defeated Midian in [the] region of Moab and [the] name of city his [was] Avith.
36 Da Hadad døde, blev Samla fra Masreka Konge i hans Sted.
And he died Hadad and he reigned in place of him Samlah from Masrekah.
37 Da Samla døde, blev Sja'ul fra Rehobot ved Floden Konge i hans Sted.
And he died Samlah and he reigned in place of him Shaul from Rehoboth the River.
38 Da Sja'ul døde, blev Ba'al-Hanan, Akbors Søn, Konge i hans Sted.
And he died Shaul and he reigned in place of him Baal-Hanan [the] son of Achbor.
39 Da Ba'al-Hanan, Akbors Søn, døde, blev Hadar Konge i hans Sted; hans By hed Pa'u, og hans Hustru hed Mehetab'el, en Datter af Matred, en Datter af Mezahab.
And he died Baal-Hanan [the] son of Achbor and he reigned in place of him Hadar and [the] name of city his [was] Pau and [the] name of wife his [was] Mehetabel [the] daughter of Matred [the] daughter of Me-Zahab.
40 Følgende var Navnene paa Esaus Stammehøvdinger efter deres Slægter, Bosteder og Navne: Høvdingerne Timna, Alva, Jetet,
And these [were] [the] names of [the] chiefs of Esau to clans their to places their by names their chief Timna chief Alvah chief Jetheth.
41 Oholibama, Ela, Pinon,
Chief Oholibamah chief Elah chief Pinon.
42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
Chief Kenaz chief Teman chief Mibzar.
43 Magdiel og Iram. Det var Edoms Stammehøvdinger efter deres Boliger i det Land, de fik i Eje. Det var Esau, Edoms Fader.
Chief Magdiel chief Iram these - [were] [the] chiefs of Edom to dwelling places their in [the] land of possession their that [was] Esau [the] ancestor of Edom.
