1 Johannes 1
1 Det, som var fra Begyndelsen, det, vi have hørt, det, vi have set med vore Øjne, det, vi skuede og vore Hænder følte paa, nemlig om Livets Ord; —
That which was from [the] beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with the eyes of us, that which we have gazed upon and the hands of us handled concerning the Word of life —
2 og Livet blev aabenbaret, og vi have set og vidne og forkynde eder det evige Liv, som jo var hos Faderen og blev aabenbaret for os; — (aiōnios g166)
and the life was made manifest, and we have seen and bear witness and we proclaim to you the life eternal which was with the Father and was revealed to us — (aiōnios g166)
3 hvad vi have set og hørt, forkynde vi ogsaa eder, for at ogsaa I maa have Samfund med os; men vort Samfund er med Faderen og med hans Søn Jesus Kristus.
that which we have seen and have heard, we proclaim (also *no*) to you so that also you yourselves fellowship may have with us; Indeed the fellowship now our own [is] with the Father and with the Son of Him Jesus Christ.
4 Og dette skrive vi til eder, for at eders Glæde maa være fuldkommen.
And these things write (we ourselves *N(K)O*) so that the joy of us may be completed.
5 Og dette er det Budskab, som vi have hørt af ham og forkynde eder, at Gud er Lys, og der er slet intet Mørke i ham.
And is this the (message *NK(O)*) that we have heard from Him and we preach to you that God light is and darkness in Him not is none.
6 Dersom vi sige, at vi have Samfund med ham, og vandre i Mørket, da lyve vi og gøre ikke Sandheden.
If we shall say that fellowship we have with Him and yet in the darkness may walk, we lie and not we do practice the truth;
7 Men dersom vi vandre i Lyset, ligesom han er i Lyset, have vi Samfund med hverandre, og Jesu, hans Søns, Blod renser os fra al Synd.
If now in the light we shall walk as He himself is in the light, fellowship we have with one another and the blood of Jesus (Christ *K*) the Son of Him cleanses us from all sin.
8 Dersom vi sige, at vi ikke have Synd, bedrage vi os selv, og Sandheden er ikke i os.
If we shall say that sin not we have, ourselves we deceive and the truth not is in us.
9 Dersom vi bekende vore Synder, er han trofast og retfærdig, saa at han forlader os Synderne og renser os fra al Uretfærdighed.
If we shall confess the sins of us, faithful He is and just that He may forgive us [our] sins and may cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 Dersom vi sige, at vi ikke have syndet, gøre vi ham til en Løgner, og hans Ord er ikke i os.
If we shall say that not we have sinned, a liar we make Him and the word of Him not is in us.
