The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Meshech, and Thirass.

7 Javans Sønner: Elisja, Tarsis, Kittæerne og Rodosboerne.

8 Kams Sønner: Kusj, Mizrajim, Put og Kana'an.

10 Og Kusj avlede Nimrod, som var den første Storhersker paa Jorden.

19 Eber fødtes der to Sønner; den ene hed Peleg, thi paa hans Tid adsplittedes Jordens Befolkning, og hans Broder hed Joktan.
And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

21 Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,

22 Ebal, Abimael, Saba,

23 Ofir, Havila og Jobab. Alle disse var Joktans Sønner.

41 Anas Sønner: Disjon. Disjons Sønner: Hemdan. Esjban, Jitran og Keran.
The sons of 'Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
42 Ezers Sønner: Bilhan, Za'avan og Akan. Disjans Sønner: Uz og Aran.
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za'avan, and Ja'akan. The sons of Dishan: 'Uz, and Aran.

46 Da Husjam døde, blev Hadad, Bedads Søn, Konge i hans Sted; det var ham, der slog Midjaniterne paa Moabs Slette; hans By hed Avit.
And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.
47 Da Hadad døde, blev Samla fra Masreka Konge i hans Sted.
And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.
48 Da Samla døde, blev Sja'ul fra Rehobot ved Floden Konge i hans Sted.
And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.
49 Da Sja'ul døde, blev Ba'al-Hanan, Akbors Søn, Konge i hans Sted.
And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba'al-chanan the son of 'Achbor.
50 Da Ba'al-Hanan døde, blev Hadad Konge i hans Sted; hans By hed Pa'i, og hans Hustru hed Mehetab'el, en Datter af Matred, en Datter af Mezahab.
And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
51 Da Hadad døde, fremtraadte Edoms Stammehøvdinger: Høvdingerne Timna, Alja, Jetet,
Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,
52 Oholibama, Ela, Pinon,
Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,
54 Magdiel og Iram. Det var Edoms Stammehøvdinger.
