< Romerne 1 >

1 Paulus, Jesu Kristi Tjener, Apostel ifølge Kald, udtagen til at forkynde Guds Evangelium,
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called Apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,
(which he formerly announced by his prophets, in the Sacred Writings, )
concerning his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; descended from David, as to his flesh,
and constituted the Son of God, with power, as to his holy spiritual nature, after his resurrection from the dead:
by whom we have received favor, even the apostolic office, for the obedience of faith among all nations, for his name's sake:
6 iblandt hvilke ogsaa I ere Jesu Kristi kaldede:
among whom are you, also, called of Jesus Christ:
To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints; favor be to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
First of all, I thank my God, through the Lord Jesus Christ, for you all, that your faith is published in all the world.
For God is my witness, whom I serve sincerely in the gospel of his Son, that continually I make mention of you;
always in my prayers, requesting that, by some means, now at length, I may have a prosperous journey, (God willing, ) to come to you.
11 Thi jeg længes efter at se eder, for at jeg kunde meddele eder nogen aandelig Naadegave, for at I maatte styrkes,
For I greatly desire to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established;
and that I may be comforted, together with you, through the mutual faith both of you and me.
Now, brethren, I would not have you ignorant, that I often purposed to come to you, thought I have, as yet been hindered; that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other Gentiles.
I am a debtor, both to the Greeks and to the barbarians; both to the wise and to the unwise.
Therefore, I am willing, according to my ability, to declare the glad tidings, even to you who are in Rome.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel; because it is the power of God for salvation, to every one who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For in it the justification of God by faith is revealed, in order to faith; as it is written, "Now the just by faith, shall live."
18 Thi Guds Vrede aabenbares fra Himmelen over al Ugudelighed og Uretfærdighed hos Mennesker, som holde Sandheden nede ved Uretfærdighed;
Besides the wrath of God is revealed from heaven, against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth by unrighteousness.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest among them, for God has manifested it to them:
(for his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, since the creation of the world, are very evident; being known by his works: ) so that they are inexcusable.
Because, though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, neither gave him thanks; but became foolish by their own reasonings, and their inconsiderate heart was darkened.
Professing to be wise men, they became fools:
for they changed the glory of the immortal God into the likeness of an image of mortal man, of fowls, or four-footed beasts, and of reptiles.
24 Derfor gav Gud dem hen i deres Hjerters Begæringer til Urenhed, til at vanære deres Legemer indbyrdes,
Therefore, also, God, through the lusts of their own hearts, delivered them over to uncleanness, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves.
Amen. (aiōn g165)
Who changed the truth concerning God, into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature, rather than the Creator, who is forever blessed. Amen.
For this, God delivered them over to shameful passions; for even their females changed the natural use unto what is contrary to nature.
In like manner, also, the males, leaving the natural use of the female, burned in their lust toward one another, males with males, working out that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.
And as they did not like to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to an undiscerning mind, to work those things which are not suitable;
29 opfyldte med al Uretfærdighed, Ondskab, Havesyge, Slethed; fulde af Avind, Mord, Kiv, Svig, Ondsindethed;
being filled with all injustice, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, bad habits, whisperers,
30 Øretudere, Bagvadskere, Gudshadere, Voldsmænd, hovmodige, Pralere, opfindsomme paa ondt, ulydige mod Forældre,
revilers, haters of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil pleasure, disobedient to parents,
31 uforstandige, troløse, ukærlige, ubarmhjertige;
impudent, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.
Some, who clearly understand the law of God, (that they who practice such things are worthy of death, ) not only do these things, but even commend those who practice them.
