1 Og han viste mig Livets Vands Flod, skinnende som Krystal, udvældende fra Guds og Lammets Trone.
And he schewide to me a flood of quic watir, schinynge as cristal, comynge forth of the seete of God, and of the lomb,
2 Midt i dens Gade og paa begge Sider af Floden voksede Livets Træ, som bar tolv Gange Frugt og gav hver Maaned sin Frugt; og Bladene af Træet tjente til Lægedom for Folkeslagene.
in the myddil of the street of it. And on ech side of the flood, the tree of lijf, bryngynge forth twelue fruytis, yeldinge his fruit bi ech monethe; and the leeues of the tree ben to heelthe of folkis.
3 Og der skal intet bandlyst være mere; og Guds og Lammets Trone skal være i den, og hans Tjenere skulle tjene ham,
And ech cursid thing schal no more be; but the seetis of God and of the lomb schulen be in it. And the seruauntis of hym schulen serue to hym.
4 og de skulle se hans Ansigt, og hans Navn skal være paa deres Pander.
And thei schulen see his face, and his name in her forheedis.
5 Og Nat skal der ikke være mere, og de trænge ikke til Lys af Lampe eller Lys af Sol, fordi Gud Herren skal lyse over dem; og de skulle være Konger i Evighedernes Evigheder. (aiōn g165)
And niyt schal no more be, and thei schulen not haue nede to the liyt of lanterne, nethir to liyt of sunne; for the Lord God schal lyytne hem, and thei schulen regne in to worldis of worldis. (aiōn g165)
6 Og han sagde til mig: Disse Ord ere troværdige og sande; og Herren, Profeternes Aanders Gud, har udsendt sin Engel for at vise sine Tjenere, hvad der skal ske snart.
And he seide to me, These wordis ben moost feithful and trewe. And the Lord God of spiritis of prophetis sente his aungel, to schewe his seruauntis, what thingis it bihoueth to be don soone.
7 Og se, jeg kommer snart. Salig er den, som bevarer denne Bogs Profetis Ord.
`And lo! Y come swiftli. Blessid is he, that kepith the wordis of prophesie of this book.
8 Og jeg, Johannes, er den, som saa og hørte disse Ting, og da jeg havde hørt og set, faldt jeg ned for at tilbede for den Engels Fødder, som viste mig disse Ting.
And Y am Joon, that herde and say these thingis. And aftirward that Y hadde `herd and seyn, Y felde doun, to worschipe bifor the feet of the aungel, that schewide to me these thingis.
9 Og han siger til mig: Gør det ikke; jeg er din Medtjener og dine Brødres, Profeternes, og deres, som bevare denne Bogs Ord; tilbed Gud!
And he seide to me, Se thou, that thou do not; for Y am seruaunt `with thee, and of thi britheren, prophetis, and of hem that kepen the wordis of prophesie of this book; worschipe thou God.
10 Og han siger til mig: Du skal ikke forsegle denne Bogs Profetis Ord, thi Tiden er nær.
And he seide to me, `Signe, ether seele, thou not the wordis of prophesie of this book; for the tyme is niy.
11 Lad den, som gør Uret, fremdeles gøre Uret, og den urene fremdeles blive uren, og den retfærdige fremdeles øve Retfærdighed, og den hellige fremdeles blive helliggjort.
He that noyeth, noye he yit; and he that is in filthis, wexe foul yit; and a iust man, be iustified yit, and the hooli, be halewid yit.
12 Se, jeg kommer snart, og min Løn er med mig til at betale enhver, efter som hans Gerning er.
Lo! Y come soone, and my mede with me, to yelde to ech man aftir hise werkis.
13 Jeg er Alfa og Omega, den første og den sidste, Begyndelsen og Enden.
Y am alpha and oo, the firste and the laste, bigynnyng and ende.
14 Salige ere de, som tvætte deres Klædebon, for at de kunne faa Adgang til Livets Træ og gaa ind igennem Portene i Staden.
Blessid be thei, that waischen her stoolis, that the power of hem be in the tree of lijf, and entre bi the yatis in to the citee.
15 Udenfor ere Hundene og Troldkarlene og de utugtige og Morderne og Afgudsdyrkerne og enhver, som elsker og øver Løgn.
For with outen forth houndis, and witchis, and unchast men, and manquelleris, and seruynge to idols, and ech that loueth and makith leesyng.
16 Jeg, Jesus, har sendt min Engel til at vidne for eder disse Ting om Menighederne, jeg er Davids Rodskud og Slægt, den straalende Morgenstjerne.
I Jhesus sente myn aungel, to witnesse to you these thingis in chirchis. Y am the roote and kyn of Dauid, and the schynynge morewe sterre.
17 Og Aanden og Bruden sige: Kom! Og den, som hører, sige: Kom! Og den, som tørster, han komme; den, som vil, han modtage Livets Vand uforskyldt!
And the spirit and the spousesse seien, Come thou. And he that herith, seie, Come thou; and he that thirstith, come; and he that wole, take he freli the watir of lijf.
18 Jeg vidner for enhver, som hører denne Bogs Profetis Ord: Dersom nogen lægger noget til disse Ting, da skal Gud lægge paa ham de Plager, som der er skrevet om i denne Bog.
And I witnesse to ech man herynge the wordis of prophesie of this book, if ony man schal putte to these thingis, God schal putte on hym the veniauncis writun in this book.
19 Og dersom nogen tager noget bort fra denne Profetis Bogs Ord, da skal Gud tage hans Lod bort fra Livets Træ og fra den hellige Stad, om hvilke der er skrevet i denne Bog.
And if ony man do awei of the wordis of the book of this prophesie, God schal take awei the part of hym fro the book of lijf, and fro the hooli citee, and fro these thingis that ben writun in this book.
20 Han, som vidner disse Ting, siger: Ja, jeg kommer snart! — Amen. Kom, Herre Jesus!
He seith, that berith witnessyng of these thingis, Yhe, amen. I come soone. Amen. Come thou, Lord Jhesu.
21 Den Herres Jesu Naade være med alle!
The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with you alle. Amen.
