1 Synger for Herren en ny Sang, synger for Herren al Jorden!
Sing to Yahweh, a song that is new, Sing to Yahweh, all the earth;
2 Synger for Herren, lover hans Navn, bebuder hans Frelse fra Dag til Dag!
Sing to Yahweh, bless ye his Name, —Tell the tidings, from day to day, of his salvation:
3 Forkynder hans Ære iblandt Hedningerne, hans underfulde Gerninger iblandt alle Folkeslag.
Recount, Among the nations, his glory, Among all the peoples, his wonders.
4 Thi Herren er stor og saare priselig, han er forfærdelig fremfor alle Guder.
For great is Yahweh, and worthy to be mightily praised, To be revered is he above all gods;
5 Thi alle Folkenes Guder ere Afguder; men Herren har skabt Himmelen.
For, all the gods of the peoples, are things of nought—But, Yahweh, made, the heavens.
6 Majestæt og Herlighed ere for hans Ansigt, Magt og Prydelse ere i hans Helligdom.
Praise and majesty, are before him, Strength and beauty, are in his sanctuary.
7 Giver Herren, I Folkeslægter! giver Herren Ære og Magt!
Give to Yahweh, ye families of the peoples, Give to Yahweh, glory and strength;
8 Giver Herren hans Navns Ære, frembærer Skænk og kommer til hans Forgaarde!
Give to Yahweh, the glory of his Name, Bring a present, and enter his courts;
9 Tilbeder Herren i hellig Prydelse, bæv for hans Ansigt al Jorden!
Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness, Be in anguish at his presence, all the earth!
10 Siger iblandt Hedningerne: Herren regerer, og Jorderige staar fast, det rokkes ej; han skal dømme Folkene med Retvished.
Say among the nations, Yahweh, hath become King, Surely he hath fixed the world, it shall not be shaken, He will judge the peoples with equity.
11 Himlene glæde sig, og Jorden fryde sig; Havet bruse og dets Fylde!
Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth exult, Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
12 Marken fryde sig og alt, hvad der er paa; da skulle alle Træer i Skoven synge med Fryd
Let the field, leap for joy, and all that is therein, Then, shall all the trees of the forest, shout in triumph,
13 for Herrens Ansigt; thi han kommer, thi han kommer til at dømme Jorden; han skal dømme Jorderige med Retfærdighed og Folkene med sin Sandhed.
Before Yahweh, for he is coming, For he is coming to judge the earth, —He will judge the world, in righteousness, And the peoples, in his faithfulness.
