God, please save me! Yahweh, come quickly to help me!

2 Gud! kom at fri mig; Herre! skynd dig at hjælpe mig!

Humble those who are happy about my troubles/difficulties, and cause them to be disgraced/ashamed. Chase away those who are trying to kill me.

3 Lad dem blues og blive beskæmmede, som søge efter mit Liv; lad dem vige tilbage og blive til Skamme, som have Lyst til min Ulykke.

I hope/desire that you will cause them to become dismayed and ashamed [because you have defeated them].

4 Lad dem vende tilbage for deres Skændsels Skyld, de, som sige: Ha, ha!

[But] I hope/desire that all those who go to [worship] you will be very joyful [DOU]. I want those who love you because you saved them to shout repeatedly [HYP], “God is great!”

5 Lad dem frydes og glædes i dig, alle de, som søge dig; lad dem, som elske din Frelse, altid sige: Gud være storlig lovet! Men jeg er elendig og fattig; Gud! skynd dig til mig; du er min Hjælp, og den, som udfrier mig; Herre! tøv ikke!

As for me, I am poor and needy [DOU]; [so] God, come quickly to help me! Yahweh, you are the one who saves and helps me, [so please] come quickly!
