1 Lover Herren fra Himlene, lover ham i det høje!
Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights.
2 Lover ham, alle hans Engle! lover ham, alle hans Hærskarer!
Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts.
3 Lover ham, Sol og Maane! lover ham, alle Lysets Stjerner!
Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all stars of light.
4 Lover ham, Himlenes Himle! og I Vande, som ere over Himlene!
Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens.
5 De skulle love Herrens Navn; thi han bød, og de bleve skabte.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were made.
6 Og han har stillet dem hen for bestandig, evindelig; han satte dem en Lov, og den skal ikke overskrides.
And he fixed them for ever and ever by a law which they dare not transgress.
7 Lover Herren fra Jorden, I Søuhyrer og alle Dyb!
Praise the Lord from the earth: you depths, with your monsters, all.
8 Ild og Hagel, Sne og Røg og Stormvejr, som udretter hans Ord!
Fire, hail, snow and ice, and stormy wind doing his word.
9 I Bjerge og alle Høje, Frugttræer og alle Cedre!
All you mountains and hills, all you fruit trees and cedars,
10 I vilde Dyr og alt Kvæg, Kryb og vingede Fugle!
all you wild beasts and tame, creeping things, birds on the wing.
11 I Konger paa Jorden og alle Folk, Fyrster og alle Dommere paa Jorden!
All you kings and nations of earth; all you princes and judges of earth:
12 Unge Karle og Jomfruer tillige, de gamle med de unge!
young men and maidens together, old men and children together.
13 De skulle love Herrens Navn; thi hans Navn alene er ophøjet, hans Majestæt er over Jorden og Himmelen.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted. Over heaven and earth is his glory.
14 Og han har ophøjet et Horn for sit Folk, han, der er en Lovsang for alle sine hellige, for Israels Børn, det Folk, der er ham nær. Halleluja!
He has lifted his people to honor. Wherefore this chorus of praise from his saints, from Israel, the people who stand in his fellowship. Hallelujah.
