Salme 119
1 Salige ere de fuldkomne i Vandel, de, som vandre i Herrens Lov.
[ALEPH.] How happy the men of blameless life, who walk in the law of Yahweh.
2 Salige ere de, som bevare hans Vidnesbyrd, de, som søge ham af ganske Hjerte;
How happy they who observe his testimonies, with a whole heart, they seek him.
3 og de, som ikke øve Uretfærdighed, men vandre paa hans Veje.
Yea, they have not wrought perversity, In his ways, have they walked.
4 Du har givet dine Bud, for at de nøje skulle holdes.
Thou, hast commanded thy precepts, that they should be diligently kept.
5 Gid mine Veje maatte stadfæstes, at jeg kan holde dine Skikke;
Oh would that my ways might be settled! that I might keep thy statutes.
6 da skal jeg ikke beskæmmes, naar jeg ser hen til alle dine Bud.
Then, shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7 Jeg vil prise dig af et oprigtigt Hjerte, naar jeg lærer din Retfærdigheds Domme at kende.
I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I have learned thy righteous regulations.
8 Jeg vil holde dine Skikke, forlad mig ikke aldeles.
Thy statutes, will I keep, Do not thou forsake me utterly.
9 Hvormed skal en ung holde sin Sti ren? Derved at han holder sig efter dit Ord.
[BETH.] Wherewithal can a young man keep pure his way? By taking heed, according to thy word.
10 Jeg søgte dig af mit ganske Hjerte, lad mig ikke fare vild fra dine Bud!
With all my heart, have I sought thee, Suffer me not to be led astray from thy commandments.
11 Jeg gemte dit Ord i mit Hjerte, paa det jeg ikke skulde synde imod dig.
In my heart, have I treasured what thou hast said, to the end I may not sin against thee.
12 Lovet være du, Herre! lær mig dine Skikke.
Blessed art thou, O Yahweh—Teach me thy statutes.
13 Jeg forkyndte med mine Læber alle din Munds retfærdige Domme.
With my lips, have I recounted All the regulations of thy mouth.
14 Jeg glædede mig ved dine Vidnesbyrds Vej som over alle Skatte.
In the way of thy testimonies, have I rejoiced, Like as over all riches.
15 Jeg vil grunde paa dine Befalinger og se til dine Stier.
In thy precepts, will I meditate, that I may discern thy paths.
16 Jeg finder min Lyst i dine Skikke, jeg vir ikke glemme dit Ord.
In thy statutes, will I find my dear delight, I will not forget thy word.
17 Gør vel imod din Tjener, at jeg maa leve, og jeg vil holde dit Ord.
[GIMEL.] Bestow thy bounties upon thy servant—let me live, That I may observe thy word.
18 Aabn mine Øjne, at jeg maa se de underfulde Ting i din Lov.
Unveil thou mine eyes, that I may discern Wondrous things out of thy law.
19 Jeg er fremmed paa Jorden, skjul ikke dine Bud for mig!
A sojourner, am, I, in the earth, Do not hide from me, thy commandments.
20 Min Sjæl er knust, saa at jeg længes efter dine Domme alle Tider.
My soul is crushed with longing for thy just decisions at all times.
21 Du skældte paa de hovmodige, de bleve forbandede, de, som fore vild fra dine Bud.
Thou hast rebuked the proud as accursed, who stray from thy commandments.
22 Vælt Forhaanelse og Foragt fra mig; thi jeg har bevaret dine Vidnesbyrd.
Roll from off me, reproach and contempt, For, thy testimonies, have I observed.
23 Endog Fyrster have sat sig ned og holdt Raad imod mig; men din Tjener grunder paa dine Skikke.
Even rulers have taken their seat, against me, have talked, Thy servant, will still meditate in thy statutes.
24 Jeg finder min Lyst i dine Vidnesbyrd, de ere mit Raads Mænd.
Yea, thy testimonies, are my dear delight, My counsellors.
25 Min Sjæl hænger ved Støvet; hold mig i Live efter dit Ord!
[DALETH.] My soul, cleaveth to the dust, Give me life, according to thy word.
26 Jeg opregnede mine Veje, og du bønhørte mig; lær mig dine Skikke!
My ways, I recounted, and thou didst answer me, Teach me thy statutes.
27 Lad mig forstaa dine Befalingers Vej, og jeg vil grunde paa dine underfulde Gerninger.
The way of thy precepts, cause thou me to understand, and I will indeed meditate in thy wonders.
28 Min Sjæl svinder hen af Bedrøvelse; oprejs mig efter dit Ord!
My soul weepeth itself away, for grief, Confirm thou me, according to thy word.
29 Vend Løgnens Vej fra mig, og skænk mig Naade i din Lov!
The way of falsehood, take thou from me, and, with thy law, O favour me.
30 Jeg udvalgte Trofastheds Vej; jeg satte dine Domme for mig.
The way of faithfulness, have I chosen, Thy regulations, have I deemed right.
31 Jeg hang ved dine Vidnesbyrd; Herre! lad mig ikke beskæmmes.
I have kept close to thy testimonies, O Yahweh! do not put me to shame.
32 Jeg vil løbe dine Buds Vej; thi du giver mit Hjerte at aande frit.
The way of thy commandments, will I run, for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
33 Lær mig, Herre! dine Skikkes Vej, og jeg vil bevare den indtil Enden.
[HE.] Point out to me, O Yahweh, the way of thy statutes, that I may observe it unto the end.
34 Undervis mig, at jeg maa bevare din Lov og holde den af ganske Hjerte.
Give me understanding, that I may observe thy law, that I may keep it with a whole heart.
35 Led mig frem ad dine Buds Sti; thi til den har jeg Lyst;
Guide me in the path of thy commandments, for, therein, do I find pleasure.
36 Bøj mit Hjerte til dine Vidnesbyrd og ikke til ulovlig Vinding.
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not unto unjust gain.
37 Bortvend mine Øjne, at de ikke se til Forfængelighed; hold mig i Live paa din Vej!
Turn away mine eyes, from beholding vanity, In thy way, give me life.
38 Opfyld for din Tjener dit Ord, som er knyttet til Frygt for dig.
Establish, unto thy servant, thy word, which pertaineth to the reverence of thee.
39 Bortvend min Forsmædelse, som jeg frygtede for; thi dine Domme ere gode.
Cause to pass away my reproach, that I have feared, for, thy regulations, are good.
40 Se, jeg har Længsel efter dine Befalinger; hold mig i Live ved din Retfærdighed!
Lo! I have longed for thy precepts, In thy righteousness, give me life.
41 Lad din Miskundhed, o Herre! komme over mig, din Frelse, efter dit Ord.
[WAW.] And let thy lovingkindness reach me, O Yahweh, thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 Og jeg vil svare den, som forhaaner mig, et Ord; thi jeg har sat min Lid til dit Ord.
So shall I have something to answer him that reproacheth me, That I have trusted in thy word.
43 Og tag ikke Sandheds Ord aldeles fra min Mund; thi jeg har ventet paa dine Domme.
And do not snatch away from my mouth the word of truth in any wise, because, for thy regulation, have I waited.
44 Og jeg vil stedse holde din Lov, evindelig og altid.
That I may keep thy law continually, to times age-abiding and beyond.
45 Og lad mig vandre i det fri; thi jeg har søgt dine Befalinger.
That I may walk to and fro in a large place, because, thy precepts, have I sought.
46 Og jeg vil tale om dine Vidnesbyrd for Konger og skal ikke beskæmmes.
That I may speak of thy testimonies before kings, and not be ashamed.
47 Og jeg vil søge min Lyst i dine Bud, hvilke jeg elsker.
That I may find dear delight in thy commandments, which I have loved.
48 Og jeg vil opløfte mine Hænder til dine Bud, hvilke jeg elsker, og grunde paa dine Skikke.
That I may lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and may meditate in thy statutes.
49 Kom Ordet til din Tjener i Hu, efterdi du lod mig haabe.
[ZAYIN.] Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 Dette er min Trøst i min Elendighed; thi dit Ord har holdt mig i Live.
This, is my comfort in mine affliction, that, thy word, hath given me life.
51 De hovmodige have spottet mig saa saare, jeg bøjede ikke af fra din Lov.
Insolent men, have derided me exceedingly, From thy law, have I not swerved.
52 Herre! dine Domme af Evighed kom jeg i Hu og blev trøstet.
I have remembered thy regulations, [which have come down] from age-past times, O Yahweh, and have consoled myself.
53 Der betog mig en heftig Harme over de ugudelige, som forlade din Lov.
A raging heat, hath seized me, by reason of the lawless, who forsake thy law.
54 Dine Bud have været mine Sange i min Udlændigheds Hus.
Songs, have thy statutes become to me, in my house of sojourn.
55 Om Natten kom jeg dit Navn i Hu, o Herre! og holdt din Lov.
I have remembered, in the night, thy Name, O Yahweh, and have kept thy law.
56 Dette skete mig; thi dine Befalinger har jeg holdt.
This, have I had, because, thy precepts, have I observed.
57 Jeg sagde: Herren er min Del, jeg vil holde dine Ord.
[HETH.] My portion, is Yahweh, I have promised that I would keep thy words.
58 Jeg bad ydmygt for dit Ansigt af ganske Hjerte: Vær mig naadig efter dit Ord!
I have sought the smile of thy face with all my heart, Show me favour, according to thy word.
59 Jeg betænkte mine Veje, og jeg vil vende mine Fødder tilbage til dine Vidnesbyrd.
I have thought upon my ways, and have turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
60 Jeg hastede og tøvede ikke med at holde dine Bud.
I have hastened, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.
61 De ugudeliges Garn omspændte mig; din Lov glemte jeg ikke.
The meshes of the lawless, have surrounded me, Thy law, have I not forgotten.
62 Midt om Natten staar jeg op, at prise dig for din Retfærdigheds Domme.
At midnight, I arise to give thanks unto thee, For thy righteous regulations.
63 Jeg har Samkvem med alle dem, som frygte dig, og med dem, som holde dine Befalinger.
Companion, am I, to all who revere thee, and to them who keep thy precepts.
64 Jorden er fuld af din Miskundhed, Herre! lær mig dine Skikke.
Of thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, the earth, is full, Thy statutes, teach thou me.
65 Du gjorde vel imod din Tjener, Herre! efter dit Ord.
[TETH.] Well, hast thou dealt with thy servant, O Yahweh, according to thy word.
66 Lær mig at faa god Sans og Forstand; thi jeg tror paa dine Bud.
Good judgment and knowledge, teach thou me, For, in thy commandments, have I trusted.
67 Før jeg blev ydmyget, for jeg vild, men nu holder jeg dit Ord.
Before I was afflicted, I myself was going astray, but, now, thy word, have I kept.
68 Du er god og gør godt; lær mig dine Skikke!
Good, thou art, and doing good, Teach me thy statutes.
69 De hovmodige have opspundet Løgn imod mig; men jeg vil holde dine Befalinger af ganske Hjerte.
Insolent men have plastered falsehood over me, I, with a whole heart, will observe thy precepts.
70 Deres Hjerte er følesløst som Fedt; men jeg forlyster mig ved din Lov.
Gross, like fat, is their heart, I, in thy law, have found dear delight.
71 Det var mig godt, at jeg blev ydmyget, at jeg kunde lære dine Skikke.
It is, well for me, that I was afflicted, That I might learn thy statutes.
72 Din Munds Lov er mig bedre end tusinde Stykker Guld og Sølv.
Better to me, is the law of thy mouth, than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Dine Hænder have skabt mig og beredt mig; giv mig Forstand, at jeg kan lære at kende dine Bud.
[YODH.] Thine own hands, have made me, and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 De, som frygte dig, skulle se mig og glæde sig; thi jeg haaber paa dit Ord.
They who revere thee, shall see me and rejoice, that, for thy word, I waited.
75 Herre! jeg ved, at dine Domme ere Retfærdighed, og at du af Trofasthed ydmygede mig.
I know, O Yahweh, that righteous are thy regulations, and, in faithfulness, didst thou afflict me.
76 Lad dog din Miskundhed være mig til Trøst efter dit Ord til din Tjener.
Let thy lovingkindness, I beseech thee, serve to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 Lad din Barmhjertighed komme over mig, at jeg maa leve; thi din Lov er min Lyst.
Let thy compassions reach me, that I may live, for, thy law, is my dear delight.
78 Lad de hovmodige beskæmmes, thi uden Skel have de forurettet mig; men jeg vil grunde paa dine Befalinger.
Let insolent men, be ashamed, because, by means of falsehood, they have dealt with me perversely, I, will meditate in thy precepts.
79 Lad dem vende tilbage til mig, som frygte dig, og som kende dine Vidnesbyrd.
Let them who revere thee, turn unto me, even they who know thy testimonies.
80 Lad mit Hjerte være fuldkomment efter dine Skikke, at jeg ikke skal beskæmmes.
Let my heart be thorough in thy statutes, that I may not be ashamed.
81 Min Sjæl forsmægter af Længsel efter din Frelse; jeg haaber paa dit Ord.
[KAPH.] My soul, hath languished for thy salvation, For thy word, have I hoped.
82 Mine Øjne forsmægtede af Længsel efter dit Ord, idet jeg sagde: Naar vil du trøste mig?
Mine eyes have failed for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Thi jeg var ligesom en Læderflaske i Røg; dine Skikke glemte jeg ikke.
Though I have been like a wine-skin in the smoke, thy statutes, have I not forgotten.
84 Hvor mange ere vel din Tjeners Dage? naar vil du holde Dom over dem, som forfølge mig?
How few are the days of thy servant! When wilt thou execute sentence on my persecutors?
85 De hovmodige grove Grave for mig, og de skikke sig ikke efter din Lov.
Insolent men digged for me pits, men who are not according to thy law.
86 Alle dine Bud ere Trofasthed; uden Grund forfølger man mig; hjælp mig!
All thy commandments, are faithful, With falsehood, have they persecuted me, O help me!
87 De havde paa et lidet nær ødelagt mig i Landet; men jeg forlod ikke dine Befalinger.
A little more, and they had consumed me in the earth, but, I, forsake not thy precepts.
88 Hold mig i Live efter din Miskundhed, saa vil jeg bevare din Munds Vidnesbyrd.
According to thy lovingkindness, give thou me life, so will I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
89 Herre! dit Ord bestaar evindelig i Himlene.
[LAMED.] Age-abidingly, O Yahweh, hath thy word been set up in the heavens.
90 Din Trofasthed varer fra Slægt til Slægt; du befæstede Jorden, og den stod fast.
To generation after generation, is thy faithfulness, Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.
91 De bestaa endnu denne Dag efter dine Domme; thi de ere alle dine Tjenere.
By thy regulations, do they stand to-day, for, all, are thy servants.
92 Dersom ikke din Lov havde været min Lyst, da var jeg omkommen udi min Elendighed.
Had not thy law been my dear delight, then, had I perished in mine affliction.
93 Jeg skal i Evighed ikke forglemme dine Befalinger; thi ved dem holdt du mig i Live.
Unto times age-abiding, will I not forget thy precepts, For, by them, hast thou given me life.
94 Din er jeg; frels mig; thi jeg søger efter dine Befalinger.
Thine, am I, —oh save me! For, thy precepts, have I sought.
95 De ugudelige biede paa mig for at lægge mig øde; jeg vil give Agt paa dine Vidnesbyrd.
For me, have the lawless waited, to destroy me, Thy testimonies, will I diligently consider.
96 Jeg har set Ende paa al Fuldkommenhed; men dit Bud strækker sig saare vidt.
To all perfection, have I seen an end, Broad is thy commandment, exceedingly.
97 Hvor kær har jeg din Lov! den er min Tanke den ganske Dag.
[MEM.] Oh how I love thy law! All the day, is it my (meditation)
98 Dine Bud gøre mig visere end mine Fjender; thi de ere for mig evindelig.
Beyond mine enemies, will thy commandment make me wise, for, age-abidingly, shall it be mine.
99 Jeg blev klogere end alle mine Lærere; thi dine Vidnesbyrd ere min Tanke.
Beyond all my teachers, have I shown discretion, for, thy testimonies, are my (meditation)
100 Jeg er bleven forstandigere end de gamle; thi jeg har bevaret dine Befalinger.
Beyond the elders, will I show understanding, for, thy precepts, have I observed.
101 Jeg holdt mine Fødder tilbage fra al Ondskabens Sti, at jeg kunde holde dit Ord.
From every way of wickedness, have I withheld my feet, that I might keep thy word.
102 Jeg afveg ikke fra dine Domme; thi du har lært mig det.
From thy regulations, have I not turned aside, for, thou, hast directed me.
103 Hvor vare dine Ord søde for min Gane, mere end Honning for min Mund.
How smooth to my palate is thy speech, More than honey, to my mouth.
104 Jeg er bleven forstandig af dine Befalinger; derfor hader jeg al Løgnens Sti.
Out of thy precepts, will I get understanding, For this cause, do I hate every false way.
105 Dit Ord er en Lygte for min Fod og et Lys paa min Sti.
[NUN.] A lamp to my feet, is thy word, and a light to my path.
106 Jeg har svoret og holdt det, at jeg vilde bevare din Retfærdigheds Domme.
I sware, and have fulfilled, To keep thy righteous regulations.
107 Jeg er saare plaget; Herre! hold mig i Live efter dit Ord.
I have been afflicted exceedingly, —O Yahweh, give me life according to thy word.
108 Lad min Munds frivillige Ofre behage dig, Herre! og lær mig dine Domme.
The freewill offerings of my mouth, accept, I pray thee, O Yahweh, And, thy regulations, teach thou me.
109 Jeg gaar altid med Livet i Hænderne; dog har jeg ikke glemt din Lov.
My life, is in my hand continually, Yet, thy law, have I not forgotten.
110 De ugudelige lagde Snarer for mig; dog for jeg ikke vild fra dine Befalinger.
The lawless have set a snare for me, Yet, from thy precepts, have I not strayed.
111 Jeg fik dine Vidnesbyrd til Arv evindelig; thi de ere mit Hjertes Glæde.
As an inheritance have I taken thy testimonies unto times age-abiding, for, the joy of my heart, they are.
112 Jeg bøjede mit Hjerte til at gøre efter dine Skikke evindelig indtil Enden.
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes, Age-abidingly, to the end.
113 De tvesindede hader jeg; men din Lov elsker jeg.
[SAMECH.] Half-hearted ones, do I hate, but, thy law, do I love.
114 Du er mit Skjul og mit Skjold; jeg haaber paa dit Ord.
My hiding-place and my buckler, thou art, For thy word, have I waited.
115 Viger fra mig, I onde! og jeg vil bevare min Guds Bud.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers, —that I may observe the commandments of my God.
116 Ophold mig efter dit Ord, at jeg maa leve, og lad mig ikke blive til Skamme med mit Haab!
Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live, and do not shame me out of my hope!
117 Styrk mig, at jeg maa blive frelst, og jeg vil altid se hen til dine Skikke.
Sustain me, that I may be saved, and may find dear delight in thy statutes continually.
118 Du forkaster alle dem, som fare vild fra dine Skikke; thi deres Svig er Løgn.
Thou hast made light of all who stray from thy statutes, for their fraud is, falsehood.
119 Du lod alle de ugudelige paa Jorden svinde bort som Skum; derfor elsker jeg dine Vidnesbyrd.
Dross, have I accounted all the lawless of the earth, therefore do I love thy testimonies.
120 Af Frygt for dig gyste min Krop, og jeg frygtede for dine Domme.
My flesh, bristled up from dread of thee, and, of thy regulations, stand I in fear.
121 Jeg gjorde Ret og Retfærdighed; du vil ikke overgive mig til dem, som gøre mig Vold!
[AYIN.] I have done justice and righteousness, —Do not leave me to mine oppressors.
122 Vær Borgen for din Tjener, ham til Bedste; lad de hovmodige ikke gøre mig Vold.
Be thou surety for thy servant for good, Let not insolent men oppress me.
123 Mine Øjne forsmægte af Længsel efter din Frelse og efter din Retfærdigheds Ord.
Mine eyes, have become dim for thy salvation, and for thy righteous word.
124 Gør med din Tjener efter din Miskundhed, og lær mig dine Skikke!
Deal with thy servant according to thy lovingkindness, and, thy statutes, teach thou me.
125 Jeg er din Tjener; undervis mig, at jeg maa kende dine Vidnesbyrd.
Thy servant, I am—give me understanding, so shall I get to know thy testimonies.
126 Det er Tid, at Herren gør noget; de have brudt din Lov.
It is time that Yahweh should work, They have frustrated thy law!
127 Derfor elsker jeg dine Bud mere end Guld og mere end fint Guld.
For this cause, do I love thy commandments, More than gold, yea than fine gold!
128 Derfor holder jeg alle dine Befalinger om alle Ting for at være rette; jeg hader al Løgnens Vej.
For this cause, all thy precepts concerning all things, I deem right, Every way of falsehood, I hate.
129 Dine Vidnesbyrd ere underfulde; derfor bevarer min Sjæl dem.
[PE.] Wonderful are thy testimonies, For this cause, hath my soul observed them.
130 Dine Ords Aabenbaring spreder Lys og gør de enfoldige forstandige.
The opening of thy words, sheddeth light, Giving understanding to the simple.
131 Jeg oplod min Mund og higede; thi jeg havde Længsel efter dine Bud.
My mouth, have I opened wide, and panted, because, for thy commandments, have I longed.
132 Vend dig til mig, og vær mig naadig efter din Vis imod dem, der elske dit Navn.
Turn thyself unto me, and show me favour, —As is befitting, to the lovers of thy Name.
133 Befæst mine Trin ved dit Ord, og lad ingen Uret herske over mig!
My steps, direct thou by thy word, and let no iniquity, have dominion over me.
134 Udløs mig af Menneskers Vold, saa vil jeg holde dine Befalinger.
Set me free from the oppression of man, so will I keep thy precepts.
135 Lad dit Ansigt lyse over din Tjener, og lær mig dine Skikke!
Thy face, light thou up on thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
136 Der nedflød Vandstrømme af mine Øjne, fordi man ikke holdt din Lov.
Streams of water, have run down mine eyes, because men have not kept thy law.
137 Du er retfærdig, Herre! og dine Domme ere retvise.
[ZADHE.] Righteous art thou, O Yahweh, —and, equitable, are thy regulations.
138 Du har sat dine Vidnesbyrd som Retfærdighed og Trofasthed overmaade.
Thou hast righteously commanded thy testimonies, yea in great faithfulness.
139 Min Nidkærhed har lagt mig øde; thi mine Modstandere have glemt dine Ord.
My zeal, hath put an end to me, for mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.
140 Dit Ord er saare lutret, og din Tjener elsker det.
Refined is thy word, to the uttermost, and, thy servant loveth it.
141 Jeg er liden og foragtet; men jeg glemmer ikke dine Befalinger.
Small, am I, and despised, Thy precepts, have I not forgotten.
142 Din Retfærdighed er Ret evindelig, og din Lov er Sandhed.
Thy righteousness, is righteous to times age-abiding, and, thy law, is truth.
143 Angest og Trængsel ramte mig; dine Bud ere min Lyst.
Straitness and distress, have befallen me, Thy commandments, are my dear delights.
144 Dine Vidnesbyrd ere Ret evindelig; undervis mig, saa lever jeg.
Righteous are thy testimonies, unto times age-abiding, Give me understanding, that I may live.
145 Jeg har raabt af ganske Hjerte; bønhør mig, Herre! jeg vil bevare dine Skikke.
[KOPH.] I have cried out with all my heart, answer me, O Yahweh; Thy statutes, will I observe.
146 Jeg har raabt til dig; frels mig, og jeg vil holde fast ved dine Vidnesbyrd.
I have cried out unto thee, oh save me, That I may keep thy testimonies.
147 Jeg kom aarle i Daggry og raabte; jeg har haabet paa dit Ord.
I forestalled the twilight, and cried for help, For thy word, I waited.
148 Mine Øjne vare vaagne før Nattevagterne for at grunde paa dit Ord.
Mine eyes forestalled the night-watches, To meditate in thy word.
149 Hør min Røst efter din Miskundhed; Herre! hold mig i Live efter dine Domme;
My voice, O hear, according to thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh! according to thy wont, give me life.
150 De nærmede sig, som jage efter Skændselsgerninger; de vare langt borte fra din Lov.
They have drawn near, who pursue villainy, From thy law, have they gone far away.
151 Nær er du, o Herre! og alle dine Bud ere Sandhed.
Near art thou, O Yahweh, and, all thy commandments, are truth.
152 Jeg har forlængst hentet Kundskab af dine Vidnesbyrd; thi du har grundfæstet dem evindelig.
Long, have I known, from thy testimonies, That, to times age-abiding, thou didst establish them.
153 Se min Elendighed, og udfri mig; thi din Lov har jeg ikke glemt.
[RESH.] Behold mine affliction, and rescue me, For, thy law, have I not forgotten.
154 Udfør min Sag, og genløs mig; hold mig i Live efter dit Ord.
Plead my cause, and redeem me, By thy word, give me life
155 Frelsen er fjern fra de ugudelige; thi de søge ikke dine Skikke.
Far from the lawless, is salvation, For, thy statutes, have they not sought.
156 Stor er din Barmhjertighed, o Herre! hold mig i Live efter dine Domme!
Thy compassions, are great, O Yahweh, According to thy regulations, give me life.
157 Mine Forfølgere og Modstandere ere mange; jeg har ikke bøjet mig fra dine Vidnesbyrd.
Many, are my persecutors and mine adversaries, From thy testimonies, have I not swerved.
158 Jeg har set de troløse og væmmedes ved dem; thi de holde ikke dit Ord.
I have seen traitors, and felt loathing, Because, thy word, they kept not.
159 Se, hvor jeg har elsket dine Befalinger; Herre! hold mig i Live efter din Miskundhed.
See thou that, thy precepts, I have loved, O Yahweh, according to thy lovingkindness, give me life.
160 Summen af dit Ord er Sandhed, og evig er al din Retfærdigheds Dom.
The sum of thy word, is truth, and, age-abiding, is every one of thy righteous regulations.
161 Fyrster forfulgte mig uden Aarsag, men mit Hjerte frygtede for dit Ord.
[SHIN.] Rulers, have persecuted me, without cause, But, of thy word, hath my heart stood in awe.
162 Jeg glæder mig over dit Ord som den, der finder et stort Bytte.
Joyful am I over thy word, Like the finder of spoil in abundance.
163 Jeg hader Løgn og har Vederstyggelighed dertil; din Lov elsker jeg.
Falsehood, I hate and abhor, Thy law, do I love.
164 Jeg lovede dig syv Gange om Dagen for din Retfærdigheds Dommes Skyld.
Seven times in the day, have I praised thee, For thy righteous regulations.
165 Der er stor Fred for dem, som elske din Lov, og der er ikke Anstød for dem.
Blessing in abundance, have the lovers of thy law, and nothing to make them stumble.
166 Jeg ventede paa din Frelse, Herre! og jeg udførte dine Bud.
I have looked for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy commandments, have I done.
167 Min Sjæl holdt dine Vidnesbyrd, og jeg elskede dem saare.
My soul hath kept thy testimonies, yea I have loved them greatly.
168 Jeg holdt dine Befalinger og dine Vidnesbyrd; thi alle mine Veje ere aabenbare for dig.
I have kept thy precepts, and thy testimonies, For, all my ways, are before thee.
169 Lad mit Raab komme nær for dit Ansigt, Herre! og undervis mig efter dit Ord!
[TAU] Let my shouting come near before thee, O Yahweh, According to thy word, give me understanding.
170 Lad min ydmyge Begæring komme for dit Ansigt; fri mig efter dit Ord!
Let my supplication come in before thee, According to thy word, deliver me.
171 Mine Læber skulle udgyde Lovsang; thi du lærer mig dine Skikke.
My lips, shall pour out, praise, When thou shalt teach me thy statutes.
172 Min Tunge skal genlyde af dit Ord; thi alle dine Bud ere Retfærdighed.
My tongue, shall respond, with thy word, For, all thy commandments, are righteous.
173 Lad din Haand være mig til Hjælp; thi jeg har udvalgt dine Befalinger.
Be thy hand ready to help me, For, thy statutes, have I chosen.
174 Jeg har Længsel efter din Frelse, Herre! og din Lov er min Lyst.
I have longed for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy law, is my dear delight.
175 Maatte min Sjæl dog leve og love dig, og dine Domme hjælpe mig!
Let my soul live, that it may praise thee, So shall thy regulation help me.
176 Jeg har faret vild; opsøg din Tjener som det fortabte Faar; thi dine Bud har jeg ikke glemt.
I have strayed like a wandering sheep, O seek thy servant, For, thy commandments, have I not forgotten.
