3 Mosebog 12
1 Og Herren talede til Mose og sagde:
And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
2 Tal til Israels Børn og sig: Naar en Kvinde undfanger og føder en Dreng, da skal hun være uren syv Dage, lige som de Dage ere, i hvilke hun er uren ved sin Svaghed.
“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, A woman when she gives seed, and has borne a male, then she has been unclean [for] seven days; she is unclean according to the days of separation for her sickness;
3 Og paa den ottende Dag skal hans Forhuds Kød omskæres.
and in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin is circumcised;
4 Og hun skal blive hjemme i tre og tredive Dage, under hendes Blods Renselse; hun skal ikke røre ved noget helligt og ikke komme til Helligdommen, førend hendes Renselses Dage ere fuldendte.
and she abides in the blood of her cleansing [for] thirty-three days; she does not come against any holy thing, and she does not go into the sanctuary, until the fullness of the days of her cleansing.
5 Men føder hun en Pige, da skal hun være uren to Uger, som under hendes Svaghed; og hun skal blive hjemme seks og tresindstyve Dage, under hendes Blods Renselse.
And if she bears a female, then she has been unclean [for] two weeks, as in her separation; and she abides by the blood of her cleansing [for] sixty-six days.
6 Og naar hendes Renselsesdage ere fuldendte efter en Søn eller efter en Datter, skal hun fremføre et aargammelt Lam til Brændoffer, og en Dueunge eller en Turteldue til Syndoffer, til Forsamlingens Pauluns Dør, til Præsten.
And in the fullness of the days of her cleansing for son or for daughter she brings in a lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon or a turtle-dove for a sin-offering, to the opening of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest;
7 Og han skal ofre det for Herrens Ansigt og gøre Forligelse for hende, saa bliver hun ren efter sin Blodgang, Dette er Loven for hende, som føder en Dreng eller Pige.
and he has brought it near before YHWH, and has made atonement for her, and she has been cleansed from the fountain of her blood; this [is] the law of her who is bearing, in regard to a male or to a female.
8 Men formaar hendes Haand ikke et Lam, da skal hun tage to Turtelduer eller to unge Duer, een til Brændoffer og een til Syndoffer; saa skal Præsten gøre Forligelse for hende, og hun er ren.
And if her hand does not find the sufficiency of a sheep, then she has taken two turtle-doves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt-offering and one for a sin-offering, and the priest has made atonement for her, and she has been cleansed.”
