Josua 6
1 Og Jeriko havde lukket for sig og var tillukket for Israels Børns Ansigt; der kunde ingen gaa ud, ej heller komme ind.
And Jericho [was] shutting and shut up because of [the] people of Israel there not [was one] going out and there not [was one] coming.
2 Og Herren sagde til Josva: Se, i din Haand har jeg givet Jeriko og dens Konge, som ere vældige til Strid.
And he said Yahweh to Joshua see I have given in hand your Jericho and king its [the] mighty [men] of strength.
3 Og I skulle gaa omkring Staden, alle Krigsmændene, saa at de gaa rundt om Staden een Gang; saaledes skal du gøre seks Dage.
And you will go around the city all [the] men of war you will encircle the city a time one thus you will do six days.
4 Og syv Præster skulle bære syv fuldtonende Basuner foran Arken, og paa den syvende Dag skulle I gaa om Staden syv Gange, og Præsterne skulle blæse i Basunerne.
And seven priests they will carry seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark and on the day seventh you will go round the city seven times and the priests they will give a blast on the trumpets.
5 Og det skal ske, naar man blæser langsomt i Hornet, naar I høre Basunens Lyd, da skal alt Folket skrige med et stort Skrig; saa skal Stadens Mur falde lige ned, og Folket skal stige op, hver lige frem for sig.
And it will be when blow - on [the] horn of ram's horn (just as hear you *Q(K)*) [the] sound of the trumpet they will shout all the people a shout loud and it will fall [the] wall of the city in place its and they will go up the people everyone before himself.
6 Saa kaldte Josva, Nuns Søn, ad Præsterne og sagde til dem: Bærer Pagtens Ark, og lader syv Præster bære de syv fuldtonende Basuner foran Herrens Ark.
And he called Joshua [the] son of Nun to the priests and he said to them lift up [the] ark of the covenant and seven priests they will carry seven trumpets of rams' horns before [the] ark of Yahweh.
7 Og han sagde til Folket: Gaar frem og gaar omkring Staden; og hvo som er bevæbnet, gaa frem foran Herrens Ark.
(And he said *Q(K)*) to the people pass on and go round the city and the armed [man] he will pass on before [the] ark of Yahweh.
8 Og det skete, der Josva havde sagt dette til Folket, da gik syv Præster frem, som bare de syv fuldtonende Basuner for Herrens Ansigt, og blæste i Basunerne; og Herrens Pagts Ark fulgte efter dem.
And it was when had said Joshua to the people and seven the priests [who] were carrying seven [the] trumpets of rams' horns before Yahweh they passed on and they gave a blast on the trumpets and [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh [was] going after them.
9 Og hver, som var bevæbnet, gik foran Præsterne, som blæste i Basunerne; og Troppen, som sluttede, gik efter Arken, medens man vedblev at blæse i Basunerne.
And the armed [man] [was] walking before the priests ([who] give a blast on *Q(K)*) the trumpets and the rearguard [was] walking behind the ark walking and giving blasts on the trumpets.
10 Og Josva bød Folket og sagde: I skulle ikke skrige og ej lade eders Røst høre, og der skal ikke et Ord udgaa af eders Mund, indtil den Dag jeg siger til eder: Skriger! da skulle I skrige.
And the people he commanded Joshua saying not you must shout and not you must make heard voice your and not it will go out from mouth your a word until [the] day say I to you shout and you will shout.
11 Saa gik Herrens Ark omkring, saa at den gik rundt om Staden een Gang; og de kom i Lejren og bleve om Natten i Lejren.
And he caused to go around [the] ark of Yahweh the city it encircled [it] a time one and they went the camp and they stayed in the camp.
12 Og Josva stod tidlig op om Morgenen, og Præsterne bare Herrens Ark.
And he rose early Joshua in the morning and they lifted the priests [the] ark of Yahweh.
13 Og de syv Præster, som bare de syv fuldtonende Basuner foran Herrens Ark, gik stedse og blæste i Basunerne; og hver bevæbnet gik for deres Ansigt, og Troppen, som sluttede, gik efter Herrens Ark, medens man vedblev at blæse i Basunerne.
And seven the priests [who] were carrying seven [the] trumpets of rams' horns before [the] ark of Yahweh [were] walking continuously and they gave blasts on the trumpets and the armed [man] [was] walking before them and the rearguard [was] walking behind [the] ark of Yahweh (walking *Q(K)*) and giving blasts on the trumpets.
14 Og de gik omkring Staden paa den anden Dag een Gang, og de vendte tilbage til Lejren; saaledes gjorde de seks Dage.
And they went around the city on the day second a time one and they returned the camp thus they did six days.
15 Og det skete paa den syvende Dag, da stode de tidlig op, der Morgenrøden brød frem, og de gik omkring Staden syv Gange, efter den samme Vis, kun at de den samme Dag kom syv Gange omkring Staden.
And it was - on the day seventh and they rose early when came up the dawn and they went around the city according to the custom this seven times only on the day that they went round the city seven times.
16 Og det skete den syvende Gang, da blæste Præsterne i Basunerne, og Josva sagde til Folket: Skriger! thi Herren har givet eder Staden.
And it was at the time seventh they gave a blast the priests on the trumpets and he said Joshua to the people shout for he has given Yahweh to you the city.
17 Og Staden, den og alt det, som er i den, skal være sat i Band for Herren; kun den Skøge Rahab skal leve, hun og alle de, som ere i Huset med hende; thi hun skjulte Budene, som vi udsendte.
And it will be the city a devoted thing it and all that [is] in it to Yahweh only Rahab the prostitute she will live she and every [one] who [is] with her in the house for she hid the messengers whom we sent.
18 Kun maa I forvare eder for det bandlyste, at I ikke komme under Band og tage af det bandlyste og sætte Israels Lejr i Band og forstyrre den.
And only you keep from the devoted thing[s] lest you should totally destroy and you will take any of the devoted thing[s] and you will make [the] camp of Israel into a devoted thing and you will trouble it.
19 Men alt Sølv og Guld og Kobberkar og Jern, det skal være helligt for Herren; det skal komme til Herrens Liggendefæ.
And all - silver and gold and articles of bronze and iron [is] a holy thing it to Yahweh [the] treasury of Yahweh it will go.
20 Og Folket skreg, da de blæste i Basunerne; ja det skete, der Folket hørte Basunernes Lyd, da skreg Folket med et stort Skrig, og Muren faldt lige ned, og Folket steg op i Staden, hver lige frem for sig, og de indtoge Staden.
And it shouted the people and they gave a blast on the trumpets and it was when heard the people [the] sound of the trumpet and they shouted the people a shout loud and it fell the city wall in place its and it went up the people the city towards everyone before himself and they captured the city.
21 Og de ødelagde alt det, som var i Staden, baade Mand og Kvinde, baade ung og gammel, og Øksne og Faar og Asener, med skarpe Sværd.
And they totally destroyed all that [was] in the city from man and unto woman from young man and unto old [man] and unto ox[en] and sheep and donkey[s] to [the] mouth of [the] sword.
22 Men Josva sagde til de to Mænd, som havde spejdet Landet: Gaar i den Kvindes, den Skøges Hus, og udfører Kvinden derfra og alt det, som hører hende til, som I have svoret hende.
And to two the men who had spied out the land he said Joshua go [the] house of the woman the prostitute and bring out from there the woman and every [one] who [belongs] to her just as you swore to her.
23 Da gik de unge Karle, Spejderne, ind og udførte Rahab og hendes Fader og hendes Moder og hendes Brødre, og alt det, som hørte hende til, og al hendes Slægt udførte de; og de lode dem blive uden for Israels Lejr.
And they went the young men who had spied out and they brought out Rahab and father her and mother her and brothers her and every [one] who [belonged] to her and all famili her they brought out and they put them from [the] outside of [the] camp of Israel.
24 Men Staden opbrændte de med Ild og alt det, som var i den; alene Sølvet og Guldet og Kobberkarrene og Jernet, det gave de til Herrens Huses Liggendefæ.
And the city they burned with fire and all that [was] in it only - the silver and the gold and [the] articles of bronze and iron they put [the] treasury of [the] house of Yahweh.
25 Men Josva lod Rahab, den Skøge, og hendes Faders Hus og alt det, som hørte hende til, leve, og hun boede midt iblandt Israel indtil denne Dag; thi hun skjulte Budene, som Josva havde udsendt til at spejde Jeriko.
And Rahab the prostitute and [the] household of father her and every [one] who [belonged] to her he let live Joshua and she has dwelt in [the] midst of Israel until the day this for she hid the messengers whom he had sent Joshua to spy out Jericho.
26 Og paa den samme Tid tog Josva en Ed af dem og sagde: Forbandet være den Mand for Herrens Ansigt, som opstaar og bygger denne Stad Jeriko; naar han lægger dens Grundvold, koste det ham hans førstefødte, og naar han sætter dens Porte, koste det ham hans yngste Søn.
And he administered an oath Joshua at the time that saying [is] cursed the person before Yahweh who he will arise and he will rebuild the city this Jericho with firstborn his he will found it and with young [son] his he will set up gates its.
27 Saa var Herren med Josva, og hans Rygte var over det ganske Land.
And he was Yahweh with Joshua and it was [the] report of him in all the land.
