Josua 18
1 Og al Israels Børns Menighed samledes i Silo og satte der Forsamlingens Paulun, og Landet var dem underlagt.
And all the company of the sons of Israel are assembled [at] Shiloh, and they cause the tent of meeting to tabernacle there, and the land hath been subdued before them.
2 Og der var endnu syv Stammer tilovers af Israels Børn, som ikke havde delt deres Arv.
And there are left among the sons of Israel who have not shared their inheritance, seven tribes,
3 Og Josva sagde til Israels Børn: Hvor længe ere I saa efterladne med at komme til at eje Landet, som Herren, eders Fædres Gud, har givet eder?
and Joshua saith unto the sons of Israel, 'Till when are ye remiss to go in to possess the land which He hath given to you, Jehovah, God of your fathers?
4 Vælger eder tre Mænd for hver Stamme, saa vil jeg udsende dem, at de kunne gøre sig rede og gaa igennem Landet og beskrive det for at kunne bestemme deres Arv, og de skulle komme til mig igen.
Give for you three men for a tribe, and I send them, and they rise and go up and down through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and come in unto me,
5 Og de skulle dele det i syv Dele; Juda skal blive i sit Landemærke mod Sønden; og Josefs Hus, de skulle blive i deres Landemærke mod Norden.
and they have divided it into seven portions — Judah doth stay by its border on the south, and the house of Joseph do stay by their border on the north —
6 Men I skulle beskrive Landet og dele det i syv Dele og føre Beskrivelsen herhid til mig; saa vil jeg her kaste Lod for eder, for Herrens vor Guds Ansigt.
and ye describe the land [in] seven portions, and have brought [it] in unto me hither, and I have cast for you a lot here before Jehovah our God;
7 Thi Leviterne have ingen Del midt iblandt eder, men Herrens Præstedømme er deres Arv; og Gad og Ruben og den halve Manasse Stamme have taget deres Arv paa hin Side Jordanen mod Østen, som Mose, Herrens Tjener, gav dem.
for there is no portion to the Levites in your midst, for the priesthood of Jehovah [is] their inheritance, and Gad, and Reuben, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses servant of Jehovah gave to them.'
8 Da gjorde Mændene sig rede og gik; og Josva befalede dem, som gik hen at beskrive Landet, og sagde: Gaar og vandrer om i Landet og beskriver det og kommer tilbage til mig, saa vil jeg her kaste Lod for eder, for Herrens Ansigt, i Silo.
And the men rise and go; and Joshua commandeth those who are going to describe the land, saying, 'Go, and walk up and down through the land, and describe it, and turn back unto me, and here I cast for you a lot before Jehovah in Shiloh.'
9 Saa gik Mændene hen og gik igennem Landet og beskreve det i en Bog efter Stæderne og delte det i syv Dele; og de kom tilbage til Josva til Lejren i Silo.
And the men go, and pass over through the land, and describe it by cities, in seven portions, on a book, and they come in unto Joshua, unto the camp, [at] Shiloh.
10 Saa kastede Josva Lod for dem i Silo, for Herrens Ansigt; og Josva delte der Landet for Israels Børn, efter deres Afdelinger.
And Joshua casteth for them a lot in Shiloh before Jehovah, and there Joshua apportioneth the land to the sons of Israel, according to their divisions.
11 Og Benjamins Børns Stammes Lod kom ud efter deres Slægter, og Landemærket for deres Lod gik ud imellem Judas Børn og imellem Josefs Børn.
And a lot goeth up [for] the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families; and the border of their lot goeth out between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph.
12 Og deres Landemærke paa den nordre Side var fra Jordanen; Landemærket gaar op til Nordsiden af Jeriko og gaar op til Bjerget imod Vesten, og Udgangene derpaa vare mod Ørken ved Beth-Aven.
And the border is to them at the north side from the Jordan, and the border hath gone up unto the side of Jericho on the north, and gone up through the hill-country westward, and its outgoings have been at the wilderness of Beth-Aven;
13 Og Landemærket gaar derfra over til Lus, til den søndre Side af Lus, det er Bethel; og Landemærket gaar ned til Atharoth-Addar over Bjerget, som ligger Sønden for det nedre Beth-Horon.
and the border hath gone over thence to Luz, unto the side of Luz (it [is] Beth-El) southward, and the border hath gone down [to] Atroth-Addar, by the hill that [is] on the south of the lower Beth-Horon;
14 Og Landemærket gaar videre og bøjer sig om den venstre Side mod Sønden, fra Bjerget, som ligger tværs over for Beth-Horon mod Sønden, og Udgangen derpaa er til Kirjath-Baal, det er Kirjath-Jearim, Judas Børns Stad; dette er den vestre Side.
and the border hath been marked out, and hath gone round to the corner of the sea southward, from the hill which [is] at the front of Beth-Horon southward, and its outgoings have been unto Kirjath-Baal (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim), a city of the sons of Judah: this [is] the west quarter.
15 Men Sydsiden er fra det yderste af Kirjath-Jearim; og Landemærket gaar ud fra Vesten, og det gaar ud til Nefthoas Vandkilde.
And the south quarter [is] from the end of Kirjath-Jearim, and the border hath gone out westward, and gone out unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;
16 Og Landemærket gaar ned til Enden af Bjerget, som ligger tværs over for Hinnoms Søns Dal, og som er i Refaims Dal mod Norden; og det gaar ned til Hinnoms Dal, mod den søndre Side af Jebus, og gaar ned til En-Rogel.
and the border hath come down unto the extremity of the hill which [is] on the front of the valley of the son of Hinnom, which [is] in the valley of the Rephaim northward, and hath gone down the valley of Hinnom unto the side of Jebusi southward, and gone down [to] En-Rogel,
17 Og det bøjer sig fra Norden og gaar ud til En-Semes og gaar ud til Geliloth, som ligger tværs over for Opgangen til Adummim, og gaar ned til Bohans, Rubens Søns, Sten.
and hath been marked out on the north, and gone out to En-Shemesh, and gone out unto Geliloth, which [is] over-against the ascent of Adummim, and gone down [to] the stone of Bohan son of Reuben,
18 Og det gaar om til Siden tværs over for Araba, mod Norden; og det gaar ned til Araba.
and passed over unto the side over-against Arabah northward, and gone down to Arabah;
19 Og Landemærket gaar om til Nordsiden af Beth-Hogla, og Landemærkets Udgang er ved den nordlige Odde af Salthavet, ved Jordanens Udløb mod Sønden; dette er det søndre Landemærke.
and the border hath passed over unto the side of Beth-Hoglah northward, and the outgoings of the border have been unto the north bay of the salt sea, unto the south extremity of the Jordan; this [is] the south border;
20 Men Jordanen sætter Grænse derfor mod den østre Side; dette er Benjamins Børns Arv i deres Landemærker rundt omkring efter deres Slægter.
and the Jordan doth border it at the east quarter; this [is] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by its borders round about, for their families.
21 Og Benjamins Børns Stammes Stæder efter deres Slægter, vare: Jeriko og Beth-Hogla og Emek-Keziz
And the cities for the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families, have been Jericho, and Beth-Hoglah, and the valley of Keziz,
22 og Beth-Araba og Zemarajim og Bethel
and Beth-Arabah, Zemaraim, and Beth-El,
23 og Avim og Para og Ofra
and Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah,
24 og Kefar-Ammonai og Ofnai og Geba; tolv Stæder og deres Landsbyer.
and Chephar-Haammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities and their villages.
25 Gibeon og Rama og Beeroth
Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,
26 og Mizpe og Kefira og Moza
and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,
27 og Rekem og Jirpeel og Tharala
and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,
28 og Zela, Elef og Jebusi, det er Jerusalem, Gibeath, Kirjath; fjorten Stæder og deres Landsbyer; dette er Benjamins Børns Arv, efter deres Slægter.
and Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi (it [is] Jerusalem), Gibeath, Kirjath: fourteen cities and their villages. This [is] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, for their families.
