Esajas 2
1 Dette er det Ord, som Esajas, Amoz's Søn, saa om Juda og Jerusalem.
The word which Ysaie, the sone of Amos, siy on Juda and Jerusalem.
2 Og det skal ske i de sidste Dage, at Herrens Hus's Bjerg skal være grundfæstet oven paa Bjergene og ophøjet over Højene; og alle Hedninger skulle strømme til det.
And in the laste daies the hil of the hous of the Lord schal be maad redi in the cop of hillis, and schal be reisid aboue litle hillis. And alle hethene men schulen flowe to hym;
3 Og mange Folkeslag skulle komme og sige: Kommer, og lader os gaa op til Herrens Bjerg, til Jakobs Guds Hus, at han maa lære os sine Veje, at vi maa vandre paa hans Stier; thi fra Zion skal udgaa Lov og Herrens Ord fra Jerusalem.
and many puplis schulen go, and schulen seie, Come ye, stie we to the hil of the Lord, and to the hous of God of Jacob; and he schal teche vs hise weies, and we schulen go in the pathis of hym. For whi the lawe schal go out of Syon, and the word of the Lord fro Jerusalem.
4 Og han skal dømme imellem Hedningerne og holde Ret for mange Folkeslag, og de skulle omsmede deres Sværd til Hakker og deres Spyd til Haveknive; et Folk skal ikke løfte Sværd imod et andet, og de skulle ikke ydermere øve sig i Krig.
And he schal deme hethene men, and he schal repreue many puplis; and thei schulen welle togidere her swerdes in to scharris, and her speris in to sikelis, ether sithes; folk schal no more reise swerd ayens folk, and thei schulen no more be exercisid to batel.
5 Jakobs Hus! kommer, og lader os vandre i Herrens Lys! —
Come ye, the hous of Jacob, and go we in the liyt of the Lord.
6 Men du har forskudt dit Folk, Jakobs Hus; thi de have fuldt op af Østens Væsen og ere Tegnsudlæggere som Filisterne, og de have Behag i de fremmedes Børn.
Forsothe thou hast cast awei thi puple, the hous of Jacob, for thei ben fillid as sum tyme bifore; and thei hadden false dyuynouris bi the chiteryng of briddis, as Filisteis, and thei cleuyden to alien children.
7 Og deres Land fyldtes med Sølv og Guld, og der er ingen Ende paa deres Liggendefæ; og deres Land fyldtes med Heste, og der er ingen Ende paa deres Vogne.
The lond is fillid with siluer and gold, and noon ende is of the tresouris therof; and the lond therof is fillid with horsis, and the foure horsid cartis therof ben vnnoumbrable.
8 Og deres Land fyldtes med Afguder; de tilbede deres Hænders Gerning, det, som deres Fingre have gjort.
And the lond therof is fillid with ydols, and thei worschipiden the werk of her hondis, which her fyngris maden;
9 Derfor nedbøjes Mennesket og Manden fornedres, og du tilgive dem det ej!
and a man bowide hymsilf, and a man of ful age was maad low. Therfor foryyue thou not to hem.
10 Gak ind i Klippen og skjul dig i Støvet for Herrens Frygts Skyld og for hans Majestæts Herligheds Skyld.
Entre thou, puple of Juda, in to a stoon, be thou hid in a diche in erthe, fro the face of the drede of the Lord, and fro the glorie of his mageste.
11 Et Menneskes stolte Øjne skulle ydmyges, og Mændenes Højhed skal nedbøjes; men Herren skal alene være høj paa den Dag.
The iyen of an hiy man ben maad low, and the hiynesse of men schal be bowid doun; forsothe the Lord aloone schal be enhaunsid in that dai.
12 Thi den Herre Zebaoths Dag skal komme over hver hovmodig og høj og over hver ophøjet, at han skal fornedres,
For the dai of the Lord of oostis schal be on ech proud man and hiy, and on ech boostere, and he schal be maad low;
13 og over alle de høje og anselige Cedre paa Libanon og over alle Ege i Basan
and on alle the cedres of the Liban hiye and reisid, and on alle the ookis of Baisan,
14 og over alle høje Bjerge og over alle anselige Høje
and on alle hiy munteyns, and on alle litle hillis, `that ben reisid;
15 og over hvert højt Taarn og over hver fast Mur
and on ech hiy tour, and on ech strong wal;
16 og over alle Tharsis's Skibe og over alt, hvad der er lysteligt at skue.
and on alle schippis of Tharsis, and on al thing which is fair in siyt.
17 Og Menneskets Højhed skal nedbøjes, og Mændenes Højhed skal fornedres; og Herren skal alene være høj paa den Dag.
And al the hiynesse of men schal be bowid doun, and the hiynesse of men schal be maad low; and the Lord aloone schal be reisid in that dai,
18 Og med Afguderne skal det være aldeles forbi.
and idols schulen be brokun togidere outirli.
19 Og de skulle gaa ind i Klippers Huler og i Jordens Kuler for Herrens Frygts Skyld og for hans Majestæts Herligheds Skyld, naar han rejser sig for at forfærde Jorden.
And thei schulen entre in to dennes of stoonys, and in to the swolewis of erthe, fro the face of the inward drede of the Lord, and fro the glorie of his maieste, whanne he schal ryse to smyte the lond.
20 Paa den Dag skal Mennesket kaste sine Sølvafguder og sine Guldafguder, som de have gjort sig for at tilbede, bort til Muldvarpene og til Aftenbakkerne,
In that dai a man schal caste awei the idols of his siluer, and the symylacris of his gold, whiche he hadde maad to hym silf, for to worschipe moldewarpis and backis, `ether rere myis.
21 for at ty ind i Klippernes Kløfter, i Fjeldenes Huler for Herrens Frygts Skyld og for hans Majestæts Herligheds Skyld, naar han rejser sig for at forfærde jorden.
And he schal entre in to chynnis, ethir crasyngis, of stoonys, and in to the caues of hard roochis, fro the face of the inward drede of the Lord, and fro the glorie of his mageste, whanne he schal ryse to smyte the lond.
22 Slaar ikke længer eders Lid til Mennesket, som har Aande i sin Næse; thi for hvad er vel han at agte?
Therfor ceesse ye fro a man, whos spirit is in hise nose thirlis, for he is arettid hiy.
