Esajas 13
1 En Profeti imod Babel, som Esajas, Amoz's Søn, saa.
[the] oracle of Babylon which he saw Isaiah [the] son of Amoz.
2 Oprejser Banner paa et nøgent Bjerg, opløfter Røsten til dem, vinker med Haanden, at de gaa ind ad Fyrsternes Døre.
On a mountain swept bare lift up a standard lift up a voice to them wave a hand so they may go [the] doors of noble [people].
3 Jeg har givet Befaling til dem, jeg har helliget og kaldet til min Vredes Tjeneste, mine vældige, mine stoltelig jublende.
I I have commanded to consecrated [ones] my also I have summoned warriors my to anger my [the] exultant [ones] of pride my.
4 Der høres en Tummel paa Bjergene som af et stort Folk, et Bulder af samlede Hedningeriger; den Herre Zebaoth mønstrer Krigshær.
[the] sound of A tumult [is] on the mountains [the] likeness of a people numerous [the] sound of an uproar of kingdoms of nations gathering Yahweh of hosts [is] mustering an army of battle.
5 De komme fra et langt fraliggende Land, fra Himmelens Ende, Herren og hans Vredes Vaaben til at ødelægge den hele Jord.
[they are] coming From a land of distance from [the] end of the heavens Yahweh and [the] weapons of indignation his to destroy all the land.
6 Hyler, thi Herrens Dag er nær, den skal komme som en Ødelæggelse fra den Almægtige.
Wail for [is] near [the] day of Yahweh like devastation from [the] Almighty it will come.
7 Derfor skulle alle Hænder slappes og hvert Menneskehjerte blive modfaldent.
There-fore all hands they will drop and every heart of a person it will melt.
8 Og de skulle forfærdes, Veer og Smerter skulle betage dem, de skulle vride sig som den, der føder, de skulle forfærdede se, den ene paa den anden, deres Ansigter skulle blusse som Lue.
And they will be terrified - pangs and pains they will seize [them]! like [woman] giving birth they will be in anguish! each to neighbor his they will look in astonishment [will be] faces of flames faces their.
9 Se, Herrens Dag kommer grum og fuld af Harme og brændende Vrede for at gøre Jorden til en Ørk og udslette dens Synder derfra.
There! [the] day of Yahweh [is] coming a cruel [day] and wrath and burning of anger to make the land a waste and sinners its he will destroy from it.
10 Thi Stjernerne paa Himmelen og deres Stjernebilleder skulle ikke lade deres Lys skinne, Solen skal formørkes, naar den gaar op, og Maanen skal ikke lade sit Lys skinne.
For [the] stars of the heavens and constellations their not they will flash forth light their it will be dark the sun when goes forth it and [the] moon not it will make shine light its.
11 Og jeg vil hjemsøge Jorderige for det onde og de ugudelige for deres Misgerning; og jeg vil bringe de hovmodiges Stolthed til at høre op og bøje Voldsmænds Overmod.
And I will visit on [the] world evil and on wicked [people] iniquity their and I will put an end to [the] pride of arrogant [people] and [the] haughtiness of ruthless [people] I will bring low.
12 Jeg vil gøre Folk sjældnere end Guld og Mennesker sjældnere end Guld fra Ofir.
I will make precious humankind more than pure gold and humankind more than [the] gold of Ophir.
13 Derfor vil jeg ryste Himmelen, og Jorden skal skælvende vige fra sit Sted, i den Herre Zebaoths Fortørnelse og paa hans brændende Vredes Dag.
There-fore heaven I will make tremble and it may shake the earth from place its in [the] wrath of Yahweh of hosts and in [the] day of [the] burning of anger his.
14 Og det skal gaa som med en jaget Raa og som med Faar, hvilke ingen samler: De skulle vende sig hver til sit Folk og fly hver til sit Land.
And it will be like a gazelle hunted and like sheep and there not [will be one who] gathers everyone to own people his they will turn and everyone to own land his they will flee.
15 Hver den, som bliver naaet, skal gennemstikkes, og hver den, som gribes, skal falde ved Sværdet.
Every [one who] is found he will be pierced through and every [one who] is captured he will fall by the sword.
16 Og deres spæde Børn skulle knuses for deres Øjne, deres Huse plyndres og deres Hustruer skændes.
And children their they will be dashed in pieces to eyes their they will be plundered houses their and wives their (they will be lain with. *Q(K)*)
17 Se, imod dem vil jeg opvække Mederne, dem, som ikke agte Sølv, ej heller have Lyst til Guld;
Here I [am] about to rouse on them Media who silver not they value and gold not they delight in it.
18 men deres Buer skulle sønderknuse Drenge, og de skulle ikke forbarme sig over Livs Frugt, deres Øje skal ikke skaane Børnene.
And bows youths they will dash in pieces and [the] fruit of [the] womb not they will have compassion on on children not it will look with pity eye their.
19 Og Babel, Rigernes Krone, Kaldæernes herlige Prydelse, skal blive, som da Gud omkastede Sodoma og Gomorra.
And it will be Babylon [the] beauty of kingdoms [the] splendor of [the] pride of [the] Chaldeans like [the] overthrow of God Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 Den skal i Evighed ikke rejse sig, og den skal ikke bebos fra Slægt til Slægt, og ingen Araber skal opslaa Telt der, ej heller Hyrder lade Kvæg ligge der.
Not it will remain to perpetuity and not it will settle until a generation and a generation and not he will pitch a tent there an Arab and shepherds not they will make lie down there.
21 Men Ørkens Vildt skal ligge der, og deres Huse skulle være fulde af hylende Dyr, og Strudser skulle bo der og Skovtrolde springe der.
And they will lie down there desert-dwellers and they will be full houses their jackals and they will dwell there daughters of an ostrich and goats they will leap about there.
22 Og Ulve skulle tude imod hverandre i de forladte Huse og Drager i de lystige Paladser; og det er nær for Haanden, at dens Tid kommer, og dens Dage skulle ikke forhales.
And it will sing hyenas in palaces its and jackals in [the] palaces of delight and [is] near to go time its and days its not they will be prolonged.
