Esajas 12

1 Og du skal sige paa den Dag: Jeg vil takke dig, Herre! thi du har været vred paa mig, men din Vrede er afvendt, og du trøster mig.

And in that day thou shalt say: 'I will give thanks unto Thee, O LORD; for though Thou was angry with me, Thine anger is turned away, and Thou comfortest me.

2 Se, Gud er min Frelse, jeg vil være tryg og ikke frygte; thi den Herre, Herre er min Styrke og Lovsang, og han er bleven mig til Frelse.

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for GOD the LORD is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation.'

3 Og I skulle drage Vand med Glæde af Frelsens Kilder.

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

4 Og I skulle sige paa den Dag: Takker Herren, paakalder hans Navn, kundgører hans Gerninger iblandt Folkene, forkynder, at hans Navn er højt.

And in that day shall ye say: 'Give thanks unto the LORD, proclaim His name, declare His doings among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted.

5 Lovsynger Herren, thi han har gjort herlige Ting; dette er kundgjort paa den ganske Jord.

Sing unto the LORD; for He hath done gloriously; this is made known in all the earth.

6 Raab højt og syng med Fryd, du Indbyggerske i Zion! thi den Hellige i Israel er stor midt udi dig.

Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.'
