1 Og Herrens Ord kom til mig saaledes:
The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
2 Og du Menneskesøn! opløft et Klagemaal over Tyrus,
Now, you son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;
3 og sig til Tyrus, som bor ved Havets Havne, og som handler med Folkene paa mange Øer: Saa siger den Herre, Herre: O Tyrus! du sagde: Jeg er fuldkommen i Skønhed.
And say to Tyrus, O you that are situate at the entry of the sea, which are a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus says the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, you have said, I am of perfect beauty.
4 Dine Landemærker ere midt i Havet, dine Bygningsmænd have gjort din Skønhed fuldendt.
Your borders are in the middle of the seas, your builders have perfected your beauty.
5 De byggede dig hele Opklædningen af Fyrretræ fra Senir; de hentede Geder fra Libanon til at gøre en Mast paa dig.
They have made all your ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for you.
6 De gjorde dine Aarer af Eg fra Basan; dit Dæk gjorde de af Elfenben, indlagt i Buksbom fra Kithims Øer.
Of the oaks of Bashan have they made your oars; the company of the Ashurites have made your benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.
7 Dit Sejl var af hvidt Linned med stukket Arbejde fra Ægypten, for at det skulde være dig til Mærke; af blaat Purpur og rødt Purpur fra Elisas Øer var dit Solsejl.
Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which you spread forth to be your sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered you.
8 Indbyggerne i Zidon og Arvad vare dine Rorkarle; dine vise, o Tyrus! som vare i dig, de vare dine Styrmænd.
The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were your mariners: your wise men, O Tyrus, that were in you, were your pilots.
9 Gebals Ældste og dens vise vare hos dig for at stoppe din Læk; alle Skibe i Havet og deres Skibsfolk vare hos dig for at drive Handel med dig.
The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in you your caulkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in you to occupy your merchandise.
10 Folk fra Persien og Lydien og fra Put vare i din Hær som dine Krigsfolk, de ophængte Skjold og Hjelm i dig, de gave dig Glans.
They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in your army, your men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in you; they set forth your comeliness.
11 Arvads Børn og din Hær vare paa dine Mure trindt omkring, og tapre Mænd vare paa dine Taarne; de hængte deres Skjolde paa dine Mure trindt omkring, de gjorde din Skønhed fuldendt.
The men of Arvad with your army were on your walls round about, and the Gammadims were in your towers: they hanged their shields on your walls round about; they have made your beauty perfect.
12 Tharsis handlede med dig, fordi du havde Mangfoldighed af alle Haande Gods; med Sølv, Jern, Tin og, Bly betalte de dine Varer.
Tarshish was your merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in your fairs.
13 Javan, Tubal og Mesek, de vare dine Kræmmere; Menneskesjæle og Kobberkar gave de dig i Tusk.
Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were your merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in your market.
14 De af Thogarmas Hus betalte dine Varer med Køreheste og Rideheste og Mulæsler.
They of the house of Togarmah traded in your fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.
15 Dedans Børn vare dine Kræmmere; mange Kyster stode i Handelsforhold med dig; de gave dig Elfenben og Ebentræ til Betaling.
The men of Dedan were your merchants; many isles were the merchandise of your hand: they brought you for a present horns of ivory and ebony.
16 Syrien handlede med dig, fordi du havde en Mangfoldighed af Arbejder; med Karbunkel, Purpur og stukket Arbejde jog hvidt Linned og Koraller og Rubiner betalte de dine Varer.
Syria was your merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of your making: they occupied in your fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.
17 Judas og Israels Lande, de vare dine Kræmmere; Hvede fra Minnit og søde Sager og Honning og Olie og Balsam gave de dig i Tusk.
Judah, and the land of Israel, they were your merchants: they traded in your market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.
18 Damaskus handlede med dig, fordi du havde en Mangfoldighed af Arbejder, for Mangfoldigheden af alle Haande Gods, med Vin af Helbon og hvid Uld.
Damascus was your merchant in the multitude of the wares of your making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
19 Vedan og Javan gave Sager fra Uzzal for dine Varer; skinnende Jern, Kasia og Kalmus gaves dig i Tusk.
Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in your fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in your market.
20 Dedan handlede med dig med Dækkener til at ride paa.
Dedan was your merchant in precious clothes for chariots.
21 Arabien og alle Kedars Fyrster, de stode i Handelsforhold med dig; med Lam og Vædre og Bukke, med dem handlede de med dig.
Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with you in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they your merchants.
22 Kræmmere fra Seba og Raema, de vare dine Kræmmere; med det ypperste af alle Haande Urter og med alje Haande kostbare Stene og Guld betalte de dine Varer.
The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were your merchants: they occupied in your fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
23 Haran og Karma og Eden, Kræmmere fra Seba, Assur og Kilmad handlede med dig.
Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad, were your merchants.
24 De vare dine Kræmmere med Kostbarheder, bestaaende i Kapper af blaat Purpur og stukket Arbejde, og med værdifuldt Garn, i tvundne og faste Snore, paa dit Marked.
These were your merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among your merchandise.
25 Tharsis's Skibe droge omkring for dig, de dreve din Handel, og du blev fyldt og saare rig midt i Havet.
The ships of Tarshish did sing of you in your market: and you were replenished, and made very glorious in the middle of the seas.
26 Dine Rorkarle førte dig paa de store Vande, Østenvejret sønderslog dig midt i Havet.
Your rowers have brought you into great waters: the east wind has broken you in the middle of the seas.
27 Dit Gods og dine Varer, hvad du handlede med, dine Skibsfolk og dine Styrmænd, de, som stoppede din Læk, og de, som dreve din Handel, og alle dine Krigsmænd, som vare i dig, med hele din Skare, som var i din Midte, faldt midt i Havet paa dit Falds Dag.
Your riches, and your fairs, your merchandise, your mariners, and your pilots, your caulkers, and the occupiers of your merchandise, and all your men of war, that are in you, and in all your company which is in the middle of you, shall fall into the middle of the seas in the day of your ruin.
28 Ved Lyden af dine Styrmænds Skrig bæve Strandmarkerne.
The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of your pilots.
29 Og alle de, som føre Aarer, stige ud af deres Skibe; Skibsfolk, alle Styrmænd paa Havet, de træde i Land.
And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand on the land;
30 Og de lade deres Røst høre over dig og raabe bitterlig; og de kaste Støv paa deres Hoved, de vælte sig i Asken.
And shall cause their voice to be heard against you, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust on their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:
31 Og de rage sig helt skaldede for din Skyld og iføre sig Sæk; og de græde over dig i Sjælens Bitterhed med en bitter Sorg.
And they shall make themselves utterly bald for you, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for you with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
32 Og de opløfte et Klagemaal over dig i deres Jamren og beklage dig: „Hvo er som Tyrus, som den, der er bleven tavs midt paa Havet?‟
And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for you, and lament over you, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the middle of the sea?
33 Der dine Varer kom frem af Havene, mættede du mange Folk; med Mangfoldigheden af dit Gods, og hvad du handlede med, gjorde du Konger rige paa Jorden.
When your wares went forth out of the seas, you filled many people; you did enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.
34 Nu, da du knust er forsvunden af Havene i de dybe Vandeler din Handel og hele din Skare midt i dig falden.
In the time when you shall be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters your merchandise and all your company in the middle of you shall fall.
35 Alle Øernes Indbyggere gyse over dig, og deres Konger forfærdes saare, de se bedrøvelige ud i Ansigtet.
All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at you, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
36 Købmændene iblandt Folkene pibe ad dig; du er bleven til Gru og er til evig Tid ikke mere.
The merchants among the people shall hiss at you; you shall be a terror, and never shall be any more.
