Ezekiel 25

1 Og Herrens Ord kom til mig saaledes:

The worde of the Lord came againe vnto me, saying,

2 Du Menneskesøn! vend dit Ansigt imod Ammons Børn, og spaa imod dem,

Sonne of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophecie against them,

3 og sig til Ammons Børn: Hører den Herre, Herres Ord: Saa siger den Herre, Herre: Efterdi du sagde: Ha ha! over min Helligdom, fordi den er vanhelliget, og over Israels Land, fordi det er ødelagt, og over Judas Hus, fordi de ere vandrede i Landflygtighed:

And say vnto the Ammonites, Heare the word of the Lord God, Thus saith the Lord God, Because thou saydest, Ha, ha, against my Sanctuarie, when it was polluted, and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate, and against the house of Iudah, when they went into captiuitie,

4 Derfor se, jeg vil give dig til Ejendom for Østens Folk, og de skulle opslaa deres Teltbyer i dig og sætte deres Boliger i dig; de skulle æde din Frugt, og de skulle drikke din Mælk.

Beholde, therefore I will deliuer thee to the men of the East for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eate thy fruite, and they shall drinke thy milke.

5 Og jeg vil gøre Rabba til Græsgang for Kameler og Ammons Børns Land til Faareleje; og I skulle fornemme, at jeg er Herren.

And I will make Rabbah a dwelling place for camels, and the Ammonites a sheepecote, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.

6 Thi saa siger den Herre, Herre: Fordi du klappede i Haanden og stampede med Foden og glædede dig i al din Haan efter din Sjæls Lyst imod Israels Land:

For thus saith the Lord God, Because thou hast clapped the hands, and stamped with the feete, and reioyced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel,

7 Derfor se, jeg ud rækker min Haand imod dig og giver dig hen til Bytte for Folkene og udrydder dig af Folkeslægternes Tal og lader dig forsvinde af Lan dene; jeg vil ødelægge dig, og du skal fornemme, at jeg er Herren.

Beholde, therefore I will stretche out mine hand vpon thee, and will deliuer thee to be spoyled of the heathen, and I will roote thee out from the people, and I will cause thee to be destroyed out of the countreys, and I will destroy thee, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

8 Saa siger den Herre, Herre: Fordi Moab og Sejr sige: Se, Judas Hus er ligesom alle Hedningerne:

Thus saith the Lord God, Because that Moab and Seir doe say, Beholde, the house of Iudah is like vnto all the heathen,

9 Derfor se, jeg vil aabne Moabs Side fra Stæderne af, fra dets Grænsestæder af, Landets Pryd, Beth-Jesimoth, Baal-Meon og Kirjathama,

Therefore, beholde, I will open the side of Moab, euen of the cities of his cities, I say, in his frontiers with the pleasant countrey, Beth-ieshimoth, Baal-meon, and Karia-thaim.

10 for Østens Børn tillige med Ammons Børns Land, og jeg vil give dem det til Ejendom, paa det man ikke skal ihukomme Ammons Børn iblandt Folkene;

I will call the men of the East against the Ammonites, and will giue them in possession, so that the Ammonites shall no more be remembred among the nations,

11 og jeg vil holde Ret over Moab, at de skulle fornemme, at jeg er Herren.

And I will execute iudgements vpon Moab, and they shall knowe that I am the Lord.

12 Saa siger den Herre, Herre: Fordi Edom tog en svar Hævn over Judas Hus og gjorde sig saare skyldig, da de hævnede sig paa dem:

Thus sayth the Lord God, Because that Edom hath done euill by taking vengeance vpon the house of Iudah, and hath committed great offence, and reuenged himselfe vpon them,

13 Derfor, saa siger den Herre, Herre: Jeg vil udrække min Haand over Edom og udrydde Mennesker og Kvæg deraf: Og jeg vil gøre det øde fra Theman af, og indtil Dedan skulle de falde ved Sværdet;

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, I will also stretch out mine hand vpon Edom, and destroy man and beast out of it, and I will make it desolate from Teman, and they of Dedan shall fall by the sworde.

14 og jeg vil føre min Hævn over Edom ved mit Folk Israels Haand, og de skulle gøre ved Edom efter min Vrede og efter min Fortørnelse, og de skulle kende min Hævn, siger den Herre, Herre.

And I will execute my vengeance vpon Edom by the hand of my people Israel, and they shall doe in Edom according to mine anger, and according to mine indignation, and they shall know my vengeance, sayth the Lord God.

15 Saa siger den Herre, Herre: Fordi Filisterne have taget Hævn og have hævnet sig svarlig i Haan efter deres Sjæls Lyst for at ødelægge med et evigt Fjendskab:

Thus sayth the Lord God, Because the Philistims haue executed vengeance, and reuenged themselues with a despitefull heart, to destroy it for the olde hatred,

16 Derfor, saa siger den Herre, Herre: Se, jeg vil udrække min Haand over Filisterne og udrydde Kreterne; og jeg vil tilintetgøre de overblevne ved Havets Strand;

Therefore thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, I will stretche out mine hand vpon the Philistims, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

17 og jeg vil tage en stor Hævn over dem med grumme Straffe, og de skulle fornemme, at jeg er Herren, naar jeg fører min Hævn over dem.

And I will execute great vengeance vpon them with rebukes of mine indignation, and they shall knowe that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance vpon them.
