5 Mosebog 3
1 Og vi vendte os og droge op ad Vejen til Basan. Saa drog Og, Kongen af Basan, ud imod os, han og alt hans Folk til Strid ved Edrei.
And so we turneden, and stieden bi the weie of Basan; and Og, the kyng of Basan, yede out ayens vs with his puple, to fiyte in Edrai.
2 Og Herren sagde til mig: Frygt ikke for ham, thi jeg har givet ham og alt hans Folk og hans Land i din Haand; og du skal gøre ved ham, ligesom du gjorde ved Sihon, Amoriternes Konge, som boede i Hesbon.
And the Lord seide to me, Drede thou not hym, for he is bitakun in thin hond, with al his puple, and his lond; and thou schalt do to hym, as thou didist to Seon, kyng of Ammoreis, that dwellide in Esebon.
3 Saa gav Herren vor Gud ogsaa Kong Og af Basan og alt hans Folk i vor Haand, og vi sloge ham, indtil at ingen undkommen blev tilovers for ham.
Therfor oure Lord God bitook in oure hondis also Og, kyng of Basan, and al his puple; and we han smyte hym `til to deeth,
4 Og vi indtoge alle hans Stæder paa samme Tid; der var ikke en Stad, som vi jo toge fra dem: Tresindstyve Stæder, hele Egnen Argob, som var Ogs Rige i Basan.
and wastiden alle the citees `of him in o tyme; no town was that ascapide vs; `we destrieden sixti citees, al the cuntrei of Argob, of the rewme of Og in Basan.
5 Alle disse Stæder vare faste med høje Mure, dobbelte Porte og Stænger; desuden saare mange Stæder, som vare ubefæstede Byer.
Alle the citees weren strengthid with hiyest wallis, and with yatis and barris; with out townes vnnoumbrable, that hadden not wallis.
6 Og vi bandlyste dem, ligesom vi gjorde ved Sihon, Kongen af Hesbon; vi bandlyste alle Stæderne, Mænd, Kvinder og smaa Børn.
And we diden awey thilke men, as we diden to Seon, kyng of Esebon; and we losten ech citee, and men, and wymmen, and litle children;
7 Men alt Kvæget og Byttet, som var i Stæderne, røvede vi for os selv.
forsothe we token bi prey beestis, and the spuylis of citees.
8 Saa toge vi paa den samme Tid Landet af de to amoritiske Kongers Haand, det som var paa denne Side Jordanen, fra Bækken Arnon indtil Bjerget Hermon,
And we token in that tyme the lond fro the hond of twey kyngis of Ammorreis, that weren biyonde Jordan, fro the stronde of Arnon `til to the hil of Hermon,
9 — Sidonierne kalde Hermon Sirjon; men Amoriterne kalde det Senir, —
`which hil Sidonyes clepen Sarion, and Ammorreis clepen Sanyr.
10 alle Stæderne paa det jævne Land og hele Gilead og hele Basan, indtil Salka og Edrei, som vare Stæder i Ogs Rige i Basan.
We tooken alle the citees that weren set in the pleyn, and al the lond of Galaad, and of Basan, `til to Selcha and Edray, citees of the rewme of Og, in Basan.
11 Thi Kong Og af Basan var ene tilbage af de overblevne Kæmper; se, hans Seng, en Jernseng, er den ikke i Ammons Børns Rabba? ni Alen er dens Længde, og fire Alen er dens Bredde, efter en Mands Arm.
For Og aloone, kyng of Basan, was left of the generacioun of giauntis; and his yrun bed is schewid, which is in Rabath, of the sones of Amon, and hath nyne cubitis of lengthe, and foure cubitis of breede, at the mesure of a cubit of mannus hond.
12 Og vi indtoge dette Land paa den samme Tid; fra Aroer, som ligger ved Arnons Bæk, og Halvdelen af Gileads Bjerg med dets Stæder gav jeg Rubeniterne og Gaditerne.
And we weldiden in that tyme the lond, fro Aroer, which is on the `brynke of the stronde of Arnon, `til to the myddil paart of the hil of Galaad; and Y yaf the citees `of hym to Ruben and Gad.
13 Og det øvrige af Gilead og hele Basan, Ogs Rige, gav jeg Manasse halve Stamme; hele Egnen Argob, hele Basan, dette er kaldet Kæmpelandet.
Forsothe Y yaf the tother part of Galaad, and al Basan, of the rewme of Og, to the half lynage of Manasses, and al the cuntrei of Argob. Al Basan was clepid the lond of giauntis.
14 Jair, Manasse Søn, indtog hele Egnen Argob, indtil Gesuriternes og Maakathiternes Landemærke; og han kaldte det, nemlig Basan, efter sit Navn Havoth-Jair indtil denne Dag.
Jair, `sone of Manasses, weldide al the cuntrey of Argob, `til to the lond of Gesuri and of Machati; and he clepide bi his name Basan Anothiair, that is, the townes of Jair, til in to present dai.
15 Saa gav jeg Makir Gilead.
Also Y yaf Galaad to Machir; and to the lynagis of Ruben and of Gad Y yaf the lond of Galaad, `til to the strond of Arnon, the myddil of the stronde,
16 Og jeg gav Rubeniterne og Gaditerne fra Gilead og indtil Arnons Bæk, midt i Dalen, som blev Landemærke, og indtil Jaboks Bæk, som er Ammons Børns Landemærke,
and of the endis `til to the stronde of Jeboth, which is the terme of `the sones of Amon.
17 og den slette Mark og Jordanen, som blev Landemærke, fra Kinnereth og indtil Havet ved den slette Mark, nemlig Salthavet, neden for Foden af Pisga, imod Østen.
And Y yaf the pleyn of the wildernesse `til to Jordan, and the termes of Cenereth `til to the see of deseert, which see is moost salt, at the rotis of the hil of Phasga, ayens the eest.
18 Og jeg bød eder paa samme Tid og sagde: Herren eders Gud har givet eder dette Land at eje det; I skulle drage bevæbnede over for eders Brødres, Israels Børns Ansigt, alle I, som ere kampdygtige.
And Y comaundide to you in that tyme, and seide, Youre Lord God yyueth to you this lond in to erytage;
19 Ikkun eders Hustruer og eders smaa Børn og eders Kvæg, (jeg ved, at I have meget Kvæg), de maa blive i eders Stæder, som jeg har givet eder,
alle ye stronge men, without wyues and litle children and beestis, be maad redi, and `go ye bifor youre brithren, the sones of Israel. For Y knowe that ye han many beestis, and tho schulen dwelle in citees whiche Y yaf to you,
20 indtil Herren skaffer eders Brødre Rolighed ligesom eder, og de ogsaa have indtaget det Land, som Herren eders Gud giver dem paa hin Side Jordanen; saa skulle I vende tilbage hver til sin Ejendom, som jeg har givet eder.
til the Lord yyue reste to youre brithren, as he yaf to you, and til thei also welden the lond `which the Lord schal yyue to hem biyonde Jordan; thanne ech man schal turne ayen in to his possessioun which Y yaf to you.
21 Og jeg befalede Josva paa den samme Tid og sagde: Dine Øjne have set alt det, som Herren eders Gud har gjort ved disse to Konger; saaledes skal Herren gøre ved alle de Riger, som du drager over til.
Also Y comaundid to Josue in that tyme, and seide, Thin iyen sien what thingis youre Lord God dide to these twei kyngis; so he schal do to alle rewmes, to whiche thou schalt go; drede thou not hem.
22 Frygter ikke for dem; thi Herren eders Gud, han er den, som strider for eder.
And Y preiede the Lord in that tyme,
23 Og jeg bad Herren om Naade paa den samme Tid og sagde:
and seide, Lord God, thou hast bigunne to schewe to thi seruaunt thi greetnesse, and strongeste hond,
24 Herre, Herre! du har begyndt at lade din Tjener se din Storhed og din stærke Haand; thi hvo er Gud i Himmelen og paa Jorden, som kan gøre efter dine Gerninger og efter dit Storværk?
for noon other God is ether in heuene, ether in erthe, that mai do thi werkis, and may be comparisound to thi strengthe.
25 Kære, lad mig fare over og lad mig se det gode Land, som er paa hin Side Jordanen, dette gode Bjerg og Libanon.
Therfor Y schal passe, and schal se this beeste lond biyende Jordan, and this noble hil and Liban.
26 Men Herren var bleven fortørnet paa mig for eders Skyld og vilde ikke høre mig; men Herren sagde til mig: Lad det være dig nok, bliv ikke ved at tale til mig ydermere om denne Sag.
And the Lord was wrooth to me for you, nethir he herde me, but seide to me, It suffisith to thee; speke thou no more of this thing to me.
27 Gak op paa Pisgas Top, og opløft dine Øjne mod Vesten og mod Norden og mod Sønden og mod Østen, og se det med dine Øjne; thi du skal ikke gaa over denne Jordan.
`Stye thou in to the hiynesse of Phasga, and caste aboute thin iyen to the west, and north, and south, and eest, and biholde, for thou schalt not passe this Jordan.
28 Og byd Josva, og gør ham frimodig og styrk ham; thi han skal gaa over for dette Folks Ansigt, og han skal dele dem Landet, hvilket du skal se, til Arv.
Comaunde thou to Josue, and strengthe thou and coumforte hym; for he schal go bifore this puple, and he schal departe to hem the lond, which thou schalt se.
29 Og vi bleve i Dalen over for Beth-Peor.
And we dwelliden in the valey ayens the temple of Phegor.
