Anden Kongebog 9
1 Da kaldte Profeten Elisa ad en af Profeternes Børn, og han sagde til ham: Bind om dine Lænder og tag denne Oliekrukke i din Haand og gak til Ramoth i Gilead!
Then Elisha the Prophet called one of ye children of the Prophets, and sayde vnto him, Gird thy loynes and take this boxe of oyle in thine hand and get thee to Ramoth Gilead.
2 Og naar du kommer derhen, da se dig om efter Jehu, en Søn af Josafat, Nimsis Søn, og gak ind og lad ham staa op midt iblandt sine Brødre og led ham fra et Kammer til et andet;
And when thou commest thither, looke where is Iehu ye sonne of Iehoshaphat, the sonne of Nimshi, and go, and make him arise vp from among his brethren, and leade him to a secret chamber.
3 og tag Oliekrukken og øs paa hans Hoved og sig: Saa sagde Herren: Jeg har salvet dig til Konge over Israel; og du skal oplade Døren og fly og ikke bie.
Then take the boxe of oyle and powre it on his head, and say, Thus sayth the Lord, I haue anointed thee for King ouer Israel. then open the doore, and flee without any tarying.
4 Og Drengen, Profetens Dreng, gik til Ramoth i Gilead.
So the seruat of ye Prophet gate him to Ramoth Gilead.
5 Og der han kom derhen, se, da sade Høvedsmændene over Hæren der, og han sagde: Jeg har et Ord til dig, Høvedsmand! Og Jehu sagde: Til hvem iblandt os alle? og han sagde: Til dig, Høvedsmand!
And when he came in, behold, the captaines of the armie were sitting. And he sayde, I haue a message to thee, O captaine. And Iehu sayd, Vnto which of all vs? And he answered, To thee, O captaine.
6 Da stod han op og gik ind i Huset, og han øste Olie paa hans Hoved og sagde til ham: Saa sagde Herren, Israels Gud: Jeg har salvet dig til Konge over Herrens Folk, over Israel.
And he arose, and went into the house, and he powred the oyle on his head and sayde vnto him, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, I haue anointed thee for King ouer the people of the Lord, euen ouer Israel.
7 Og du skal slaa Akabs, din Herres, Hus, og jeg vil hævne mine Tjeneres, Profeternes, Blod og alle Herrens Tjeneres Blod paa Jesabel.
And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may auenge the blood of my seruants the Prophets, and the blood of al the seruants of the Lord of the hand of Iezebel.
8 Og hele Akabs Hus skal omkomme, og jeg vil udrydde af Akabs alt Mandkøn, baade den bundne og den løsladte i Israel.
For the whole house of Ahab shalbe destroied: and I will cut off from Ahab, him that maketh water against the wall, as well him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel.
9 Og jeg vil gøre Akabs Hus ligesom Jeroboams, Nebats Søns, Hus og som Baesas, Ahias Søns, Hus.
And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the sonne of Ahiiah.
10 Og Hundene skulle æde Jesabel paa Jisreels Ager, og ingen skal begrave hende; og han lod Døren op og flyede.
And the dogges shall eate Iezebel in the fielde of Izreel, and there shalbe none to burie her. And he opened the doore, and fled.
11 Og der Jehu gik ud til sin Herres Tjenere, sagde man til ham: Staar det sig vel? hvorfor kommer denne gale Mand til dig? Og han sagde til dem: I kende Manden og hans Tanke.
Then Iehu came out to the seruants of his lord. And one sayd vnto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellowe to thee? And hee sayde vnto them, Ye knowe the man, and what his talke was.
12 Og de sagde: Det er falsk! giv os det dog til Kende; og han sagde: Saa og saa talte han til mig og sagde: Saa sagde Herren: Jeg har salvet dig til Konge over Israel.
And they sayde, It is false, tell vs it nowe. Then he sayd, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saieth the Lord, I haue anointed thee for King ouer Israel.
13 Da skyndte de sig, og de toge hver sine Klæder og lagde under ham paa det øverste af Trapperne, og de blæste i Trompeten, og de sagde: Jehu er Konge.
Then they made haste, and tooke euerie man his garment, and put it vnder him on the top of the staires, and blewe the trumpet, saying, Iehu is King.
14 Saa gjorde Jehu, en Søn af Josafat, Nimsis Søn, et Forbund imod Joram; og Joram laa for Ramoth i Gilead, han og al Israel, imod Hasael, Kongen af Syrien.
So Iehu ye sonne of Iehoshaphat the sonne of Nimshi conspired against Ioram: (Now Ioram kept Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael King of Aram.
15 Men Kong Joram var kommen tilbage for at lade sig læge i Jisreel af de Saar, som Syrerne sloge ham, der han stred imod Hasael, Kongen af Syrien; og Jehu sagde: Dersom det er efter eders Sind, da skal ingen undkomme og slippe ud af Staden for at gaa bort og kundgøre det i Jisreel.
And King Ioram returned to bee healed in Izreel of the woundes, which the Aramites had giuen him, when hee fought with Hazael King of Aram) and Iehu sayde, If it be your mindes, let no man depart and escape out of the citie, to goe and tell in Izreel.
16 Da red Jehu hen og drog til Jisreel, fordi Joram laa der; og Ahasia, Judas Konge, var kommen ned at besøge Joram.
So Iehu gate vp into a charet, and went to Izreel: for Ioram lay there, and Ahaziah King of Iudah was come downe to see Ioram.
17 Og Skildvagten stod paa Taarnet i Jisreel og saa Jehus Hob, der han kom, og han sagde: Jeg ser en Hob; da sagde Joram: Tag en Rytter og send dem i Møde, og han skal sige: Er der Fred?
And the watchman that stoode in the towre in Izreel spyed the companie of Iehu as hee came, and sayd, I see a companie. And Iehoram said, Take a horseman and send to meete them, that hee may say, Is it peace?
18 Og Rytteren drog ham i Møde og sagde: Saa siger Kongen: Er der Fred? Og Jehu sagde: Hvad har du med Freden at gøre? vend dig omkring og følg mig; og Skildvagten kundgjorde det og sagde: Budet kom til dem og kommer ikke tilbage.
So there went one on horseback to meete him, and sayde, Thus sayth the King, Is it peace? And Iehu sayd, What hast thou to do with peace? Turne behinde me. And the watchman tolde, saying, The messenger came to them, but he commeth not againe.
19 Da sendte han en anden Rytter; der han kom til dem, da sagde han: Saa sagde Kongen: Er der Fred? Og Jehu sagde: Hvad har du med Freden at gøre? vend dig omkring og følg mig!
Then hee sent out another on horsebacke, which came to them, and sayde, Thus sayth the King, Is it peace? And Iehu answered, What hast thou to doe with peace? turne behinde me.
20 Og Skildvagten kundgjorde det og sagde: Han kom til dem og kommer ikke tilbage, og det er en Fart ligesom Jehus, Nimsis Søns, Fart; thi han farer af Sted, som han var gal.
And the watchman tolde, saying, He came to them also, but commeth not againe, and the marching is like the marching of Iehu the sonne of Nimshi: for he marcheth furiously.
21 Da sagde Joram: Spænd for, og man spændte for hans Vogn; og de droge ud, Joram, Israels Konge, og Ahasia, Judas Konge, hver paa sin Vogn, og de droge ud Jehu i Møde, og de traf ham paa Jisreeliteren Naboths Ager.
Then Iehoram sayd, Make ready: and his charet was made ready. And Iehoram King of Israel and Ahaziah King of Iudah went out eyther of them in his charet against Iehu, and met him in the fielde of Naboth the Izreelite.
22 Og det skete, der Joram saa Jehu, da sagde han: Jehu, er der Fred? Og han sagde: Hvad Fred? medens din Moder Jesabels Horerier og hendes Trolddomskunster ere saa mange!
And when Iehoram sawe Iehu, he sayde, Is it peace, Iehu? And he answered, What peace? whiles the whoredomes of thy mother Iezebel, and her witchcraftes are yet in great nomber?
23 Da vendte Joram om og flyede og sagde til Ahasia: Det er Forræderi, Ahasia!
Then Iehoram turned his hand, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, O Ahaziah, there is treason.
24 Men Jehu greb med fuld Magt fat paa Buen og skød Joram imellem hans Arme, at Pilen for ud af hans Hjerte, og han segnede ned i sin Vogn.
But Iehu tooke a bowe in his hande, and smote Iehoram betweene the shoulders, that the arowe went through his heart: and he fell downe in his charet.
25 Og han sagde til sin Høvedsmand Bidekar: Tag ham op og kast ham paa Jisreeliteren Naboths Ager; thi kom i Hu, der jeg og du rede sammen efter hans Fader Akab, at Herren udtalte denne Spaadom over ham:
Then said Iehu to Bidkar a captaine, Take, and cast him in some place of the fielde of Naboth the Izreelite: for I remember that when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the Lord layed this burden vpon him.
26 Mon jeg ikke i Gaar saa Naboths Blod og hans Sønners Blod, siger Herren, og skal betale dig paa den Ager? siger Herren. Saa tag ham nu op og kast ham paa Ageren efter Herrens Ord!
Surely I haue seene yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sonnes, saide the Lord, and I will render it thee in this fielde, saith the Lord: nowe therefore take and cast him in the fielde, according to the word of the Lord.
27 Der Ahasia, Judas Konge, saa det, da flyede han ad Vejen til Havehuset; og Jehu forfulgte ham og sagde: Slaar ogsaa ham paa Vognen! Dette skete ved Opgangen til Gur, der ligger ved Jibleam; og han flyede til Megiddo og døde der.
But when Ahaziah the King of Iudah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house: And Iehu pursued after him, and sayd, Smite him also in the charet: and they smote him in the going vp to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And hee fled to Megiddo, and there dyed.
28 Og hans Tjenere lode ham føre til Jerusalem og begravede ham i hans Grav hos hans Fædre i Davids Stad.
And his seruants caried him in a charet to Ierusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the citie of Dauid.
29 Og i Jorams, Akabs Søns, ellevte Aar, var Ahasia bleven Konge over Juda.
And in the eleuenth yere of Ioram the sonne of Ahab, began Ahaziah to reigne ouer Iudah.
30 Og Jehu kom til Jisreel; og Jesabel hørte det og satte Sminke paa sine Øjne og smykkede sit Hoved og saa ud igennem Vinduet.
And when Iehu was come to Izreel, Iezebel heard of it, and painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a windowe.
31 Og der Jehu kom i Porten, da sagde hun: Er der Fred, du Simri, som slog sin Herre ihjel?
And as Iehu entred at the gate, shee sayde, Had Zimri peace, which slewe his master?
32 Og han løftede sit Ansigt op til Vinduet og sagde: Hvo er med mig, hvo? Da saa to eller tre Hofbetjente ud til ham.
And he lift vp his eyes to the windowe, and sayd, Who is on my side, who? Then two or three of her Eunuches looked vnto him.
33 Og han sagde: Styrter hende ned! og de styrtede hende ned, og af hendes Blod overstænkedes Væggen og Hestene, og man søndertraadte hende.
And he sayde, Cast her downe: and they cast her downe, and hee sprinkled of her blood vpon the wall, and vpon the horses, and he trode her vnder foote.
34 Og der han var kommen ind og havde ædt og drukket, da sagde han: Kære, ser efter denne forbandede og begraver hende, thi hun er en Konges Datter.
And when he was come in, he did eate and drinke, and sayde, Visite now yonder cursed woman, and burie her: for she is a Kings daughter.
35 Og der de gik hen at begrave hende, da fandt de intet af hende uden Pandeskallen og Fødderne og det flade af Hænderne.
And they went to burie her, but they foud no more of her, then the skull and the feete, and the palmes of her handes.
36 Da kom de igen og gave ham det til Kende, og han sagde: Det er det Herrens Ord, som han talte ved sin Tjener Thisbiteren Elias og sagde: Hundene skulle æde Jesabels Kød paa Jisreels Ager.
Wherefore they came agayne and tolde him. And he said, This is the worde of the Lord, which he spake by his seruant Eliiah the Tishbite, saying, In the fielde of Izreel shall ye dogs eate the flesh of Iezebel.
37 Og Jesabels døde Krop skal være som Møg paa Marken paa Jisreels Ager, saa at de ikke skulle kunne sige: dette er Jesabel.
And the carkeis of Iezebel shalbe as doung vpon the ground in the field of Izreel, so that none shall say, This is Iezebel.
