Anden Krønikebog 3
1 Og Salomo begyndte at bygge Herrens Hus i Jerusalem paa Moria Bjerg, hvor han havde aabenbaret sig for David, hans Fader, paa det Sted, jsom David havde beredt paa Ornans, Jebusitens, Tærskeplads.
So Salomon began to buyld the house of the Lord in Ierusalem, in mount Moriah which had bene declared vnto Dauid his father, in the place that Dauid prepared in the thresshing floore of Ornan the Iebusite.
2 Og han begyndte at bygge i den anden Maaned paa den anden Dag, i sin Regerings fjerde Aar.
And he beganne to buylde in the seconde moneth and the second day, in the fourth yeere of his reigne.
3 Og saaledes lagde Salomo Grundvolden til Bygningen af Guds Hus: Længden i Alen efter gammelt Maal Tar tresindstyve Alen og Bredden tyve Alen.
And these are the measures, whereon Salomon grounded to buylde the house of God: the length of cubites after the first measure was threescore cubites, and the breadth twenty cubites:
4 Og Forhallen, som var foran, var efter Bredden paa Huset tyve Alen lang, men Højden var hundrede og tyve Alen; og han beslog den indentil med purt Guld.
And the porch, that was before the length in the front of the breadth was twentie cubits, and the height was an hundreth and twentie, and he ouerlayd it within with pure golde.
5 Men det store Hus beklædte han med Fyrretræ og beslog det med fint Guld, og gjorde derpaa Palmer og Kæder.
And the greater house he sieled with firre tree which he ouerlayd with good golde, and graued thereon palme trees and chaines.
6 Og han besatte Huset med kostbare Stene til Prydelse, og Guldet var af Parvajims Guld.
And hee ouerlayde the house with precious stone for beautie: and the golde was gold of Paruaim.
7 Og han beslog Huset, Bjælkerne, Dørtærsklerne og dets Vægge og dets Døre med Guld og lod udgrave Keruber paa Væggene.
The house, I say, the beames, postes, and walles thereof and the doores thereof ouerlayde he with gold, and graued Cherubims vpon the walles.
8 Han byggede ogsaa det Allerhelligstes Hus: Dets Længde var tyve Alen efter Husets Bredde, og dets Bredde var tyve Alen; og han beslog det med henved seks Hundrede Centner fint Guld.
He made also the house of the most holy place: the length thereof was in the front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twentie cubites: and he ouerlayde it with the best golde, of sixe hundreth talents.
9 Og Vægten paa Søm var halvtredsindstyve Sekel Guld; og han beslog Salene med Guld.
And the weight of the nayles was fiftie shekels of golde, and hee ouerlayde the chambers with golde.
10 Han gjorde og i det Allerhelligstes Hus to Keruber med Billedskærerarbejde; og man beslog dem med Guld.
And in the house of the most holy place he made two Cherubims wrought like children, and ouerlayd them with golde.
11 Og Længden af Vingerne paa Keruberne var tyve Alen; den ene Vinge var fem Alen og rørte ved Husets Væg, og den anden Vinge var og fem Alen og rørte ved den anden Kerubs Vinge.
And the winges of the Cherubims were twentie cubites long: the one wing was fiue cubites, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing fiue cubites, reaching to the wing of the other Cherub.
12 Og den anden Kerubs Vinge var fem Alen lang og rørte ved Husets Væg, og den anden Vinge var fem Alen og naaede til den anden Kerubs Vinge.
Likewise the wing of ye other Cherub was fiue cubites, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing fiue cubites ioyning to the wing of the other Cherub.
13 Disse Keruber bredte Vingerne tyve Alen ud og stode paa deres Fødder, og deres Ansigter vare vendte imod Huset.
The wings of these Cherubims were spread abroade twentie cubites: they stoode on their feete, and their faces were toward the house.
14 Han gjorde og Forhænget af blaat uldent og Purpur og Skarlagen og kosteligt Linklæde og gjorde Keruber derpaa.
He made also the vaile of blew silke and purple, and crimosin, and fine linen, and wrought Cherubims thereon.
15 Han gjorde og foran Huset to Støtter, hvis Længde var fem og tredive Alen, og Knappen, som var oven paa den, var fem Alen.
And he made before the house two pillars of fiue and thirtie cubites hie: and the chapiter that was vpon the top of eche of them, was fiue cubites.
16 Og han gjorde Kæder som i Koret og satte dem oven paa Støtterne og gjorde hundrede Granatæbler og satte dem paa Kæderne.
He made also chaines for the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars, and made an hundreth pomegranates, and put them among the chaines.
17 Og han oprejste Støtterne foran Templet, een til den højre Side og een til venstre Side; og han kaldte Navnet paa den til højre Jakin og Navnet paa den til venstre Boas.
And he set vp the pillars before the Temple, one on the right hande and the other on the left, and called that on the right hand Iachin, and that on the left hand Boaz.
